Keep things rusty, except your tools! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Reeallyy enjoyed this!
To take trucks that old...that have been totally abandoned, and get them road worthy is quite a feat...you sir, are one hell of a mechanic!!
Thanks for sharing....
It's be said that "one mans trash is another mans treasure", you sir have some amazing treasures! Can't wait for your next video. ;)
And these aren’t even trash. They’re pieces of history at this point. Obviously no point of using them seriously.
Not only do you have then running and living, you have them working. That’s the best part!
Wow, thank you for the private truck show. You really have captured and preserved some of the history of how the Alaskan frontier was built. Very proud of you and keep up the great work!
0:30 Those rust worms leave bigger holes than woodworm do for sure!
Peace
Charlie 🇬🇧
The alaskan road building leftovers from world War two can always come in handy for anything at anytime i like the world war two army surplus
Love these old trucks!
The '44 is my favorite.
Hey, I'm a 1942 model myself...and have trouble getting started most mornings! I an anxiously awaiting your work on the weasel! The Studebaker Museum has a lot of stuff documented on books and DVDs. They have a web site.
So much history, loved it. The detailed tour of the '41 boom truck was amazing. All the driving gave me fond memories of the time I spent driving deuce and a halfs in the mid 70's.
Excellent tour and ride along. My vote is the get the Detroit powered welder up and going next. Not too difficult, just remove valve cover and roll the motor over a revolution or two and look for stuck injectors. If none are stuck, just fire it up. If stuck, go watch Old2stroker channel and learn how to free em up.
That first one, being front wheel drive is juuuust like a Honda Ridgeline. Great job.
Enjoy the warm weather, for a few more minutes :-)
Girl wanted is my favorite for sure
I love the G506 and the US6 - we sent thousands of them to Russia during WWII.
You are absolutely right, our grandpas received thousands of great trucks from US. Unfortunately current time not all our russian people like to remember it.
And most famous was of sure Studebaker US 6. Mainly because this truck was used as a carrier of famous russian mortar Katjusha. And after WW2 this truck played many roles in soviet and russian movies about that war.
great old units nice to get them out for a stretch once in a while. keep up the good work. cheers.
Had one and I must say, the folks that drove them back then were hard as nails.
They look like they are ready to go to work. Not like todays trucks.
One look at those trucks and you'd swear they were all derelict, but one flick of the starter and the fire right up,
That old boom truck is a gem, the reinforcement carried our is mad! Must be some weight in it like
Was wondering too if you'd been on any more exploring? Your vid on the abandoned gold mine was brilliant
Like that “Truck Crossing “ sign leaning up against a tree. That’s Classic
Nice collection.
Love those old trcuks, but the Studie is still my Favorite!
Thanks for the ride and the details on the trucks. That’s a nice playground!
So i watched this vid without sound and my main takeaway is if i ever buy an 80 year old utility vehicle I better do a full survey of the 80 years of butchery enacted upon it before i decide to take it on. They say they don't build em like they used to but this video has finally made me realize that having an entire vehicle made out of material you can booger things onto with a stick welder is a real mixed bag!!
Cool collection!
This was another great video you made. Really enjoyed hearing all the ladies running. Keep sharing your videos. Thank you very much.
I would enjoy every moment driving a truck like that
Hey Brother! Wow, you're the definition of fun, freedom, and liberty for us guys! Keep it going and again, DON'T STOP! Take care Bro and thanks for the vids!
I worked for a company many years ago that did conversions on military vehicles for different applications and supplied parts. A lot of them went to Alaska for all reasons and pipeline work, military used quite a few different companies to supply vehicles.
Very nice collection! Can't wait to see what you score next.
Love the size of the steering wheels on those vehicles lol. Loved every minute of this video, thank you! As always, all the best and God Bless everyone.
Sup?
Been waiting for the next installment 😁
👍👍
Love those bullet holes! Some guys put those wimpy bullet hole stickers on their ratrods but you have the real deal. Lot to be said for authenticity. AL B.
Dang! Those trucks are awesome!
Love the engineering on the girl wanted rig, looks like something my Grandpa would have dreamed up 😁
Great collection of old and rusty but goody trucks you have.
That was fun
That is so freaking cool. Especially the last one!! If tires could talk!
This is like playing snowrunner during the vehicle selection screen
what ones mans junk is another mans treasure Boy oh Boy love to see old bones you sure believe in wanted dead or alive .Seen some road sighs love them laughed to see adapt a highway sighn and your bare bones fleet right by it .Looks Good i wonder with all the glass out and your snow what keeps them form being eaten up .. Can you get some steel 55 gallon drums and make some flat finders
Love to see more on your little tracked vehicle. Thanks!
awesome- this trucks will last forever- even after the electric bubble impacts....
Nice collection. My WW II relics are much smaller. Ammo boxes. There were 16 makers of .50 cal boxes and 6 makers of .30 cals that I can find so far. Still need a late model "Modern".
Like how each one has its own unique sound .awesome job .
I like that you get them running if you can!! Keep up the good work!!
As the first truck pulled out , it reminded me of that classic film 'Duel' i think it was that fiddler Spielberg's first movie .
My US-6 was born on Aug, 9, 1945 the same day as the 2nd. Atomic bomb was dropped. 77 years ago today.
Cool collection!! They look great all lined up
Those are the truck’s that built the Alaska Highway!! Dang
i work on ww2 vehicles at a museum in new york, so you know i love this!!! my other car is a 42 gpw.😁😁
Sketchy machinery out in wild! Where it belongs and can only be used far from osha. Love seeing this old stuff love your content.
My father worked at a miltary hospital in England during part of WWII. He told me lots of trucks were cut in two and dumped in the English Channel. They didn't want the expense of transporting them back to the US. Such a shame how good is equipment is wasted like that.
Very cool old Iron!!!!! 👍🙂
Glad the spring bugs didn't carry you off :-)
The museum that grows!
You got some badass old iron there. Makin me antsy to get my 52 m37 running. Hopefully thats this winters project. If you go to fire up that old 2 stroke make sure you pull the rocker cover off and check to make sure the fuel rack is free. I like to pull the air cleaner off and keep a piece of plywood handy in case it tries to send her to the moon
I'm so in love with Alaska
Love seeing these trucks start and drive. Keep up the good work with the channel. Look forward to some more cold starts and driving them old rigs.
A few old ww2 rigs up in British columbia where I am insmall town
I used a Lincoln welder just like that for years and that baby could weld smooth but was loud! lol 😂
The Studebaker US6 is just so cool and kind of beautiful! I have paused at 24:54 just admiring it, haha
I love the Alaskan ingenuity.
Cheers for filming it👍🏻🍺
So cool to see your passion for these relics.
Love the old trucks!
Great collection
Well you got the motor for it on the back of your crane truck that would be a cool story awesome work very cool bills yes they are badass
Love your BEAST collection of trucks. Glad to see someone cares enough to put these relics back on the road an to good use. I will say I’m not thinking they are winter drive vehicles in the Alaskan winters
Thanks for the video!
I Love that Studebaker!!!
DUDE I LIVE IN SOLDOTNA I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR WW2 TRUCKS SOMETIME.
Just love these trucks they are true treasures
Thanks for posting.
Most older generation and the great generation is gone! but my dad always used to tell me that type of steering ain't power steering, it's Armstrong steering😁
I've used the pipeline Lincoln with the Detroit two cylinder, badass stick welder
so rad, thank you
Espectacular!!!
Very nice. Enjoy the summer!
TOOOOO COOL Thnx for the rides
These old trucks are wonderful for building upper arm strength. Owned and drove a 1948 Dodge Power Wagon panel truck. Double clutching is also a must.
beautiful place
Good video. The video quality is excellent. Keep going 👍
Thanks Brother! Enjoyed it!
Very cool thanks for your time 😊
Very nice vehicles, glad you save those
The old Trucks sound and Run Great...Thanks for taking us along...Great Video Bud...
Very nice very cool love it looks like fun thanks 👍👍👍
We use to use a similar homemade winches on pulp wood trucks back in the day. The brake on ours was what actually turned the spool to pull the cable in. Push the lever the brake would grab the hub and wind in the cable to pull the stick of wood.
Pretty cool to see these old Iron War Horse vehicles up & running! Imagine their history in time lapse!
As always truly enjoy the video.
Commented before about the ‘56 Dodge being my favorite because that’s my vintage, 9/5/56, but if “Girl Wanted” got some lovin’ that wouldn’t hurt my feelings!
MORE POWER TO YOU
