Hi there, great video and tons of info, thanks! So I have a GTX at the moment and all these reviews seem to suggest that the GTR is leagues ahead of their other boards but in terms of smoothness, surely they can't be smoother than the GTX? The GTX is ultra smooth in braking and acceleration and I can't see how the GTR could be smoother? Also, I don't get dropouts, I've had the board 6 months now and it's fine so I'm not sure why people complain of this? So apart from battery sag and range, whats the difference? Does the GTR ride better than the GTX?

    • @eSkateHub
      @eSkateHub  Před 4 lety

Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked it.
It's awesome to hear you haven't had any issues with your GTX.
The smoothness of the acceleration and braking between the GTX and GTR series is subtle but it is there. Also, the shape of the deck on the Bamboo is quite different which gives a great riding feel. It's something you'll only notice if you've ridden both eboards.
But, if you love your GTX and find the acceleration and braking sensitivity to work well for your riding style, then that's the most important thing.

As for in public areas, law enforcement don’t really know how to respond because it’s still quite new to the mass market. We should be seeing some regulation towards electric skateboards very soon. Yeah, I agree. It would be nice to see these being made in Australia, but it would just be waaay too expensive. They wouldn’t be able to offer them at the price they are. There’s still a lot of great quality products being made in China these days. It’s not like it used to be.

    I have some questions.
    1. Can I buy an Extra big battery same as the one that come with GTR or is only the smaller air travel approved battery I can buy extra?
    2. Is it only the GTR Carbon that has swappable battery or does the GTR Bamboo also have swappable battery?
    3. Is the GTR Bamboo water resistant or is it only the GTR Carbon that is water resistant?
    4. Does the GTR Bamboo also have the ability to put LED strips on it?

@@_-Anthony-_ Thanks you so much for answering my questions. You did not understand my nr1 question so I will try to rephrase it.
      Question:
      1. Evolve has swappable battery that we can buy but I have only seen a small size battery that we can buy extra.
So my question is: can we only buy the small swappable battery or can we also buy a bigger battery that is the same size and range as the battery that comes by default with the GTR boards when you buy your board?. Is there 2 sizes of battery we can buy. one small and one big?
Thank you, hope you understand my question now.
      I have an extra question:
Does the swappable Battery need to be installed into the Board to charge it?. or can I just charge the extra battery with an extra charger?
Example: If I have 1 GTR board and 2 batteries and 2 chargers. can charge ALL batteries at the same time?

Hey. @Anthony ! was a good dude to help you out here. There's a few things you also need to note.
      1. Yes, you can buy both sizes of battery as an extra on their website
      2. Both the Carbon and Bamboo have swappable batteries.
      3. They are both water resistant.
      4. It's only the Bamboo GTR that has the USB ports. The Carbon does not have them.
Your extra Q. The batteries need to be installed in the board in order to be charged with the Evolve charger.

Yeah, I had the Carbon GT and threw my fair share of tantrums trying to pair that thing. 15 minutes is nothing, sometimes I'd spend almost half an hour before just giving up.
The GTR has none of these issues. It literally pairs instantly everytime I turned it on. Evolve were aware of the old problems and have fixed them in their new boards.

Bamboo: 2x USB ports, nice and flexy, customizable wheelbase length, looks classic
Carbon: No USB ports, stiff deck keeps you steady at high speeds, 0.5kg/1.1lbs lighter, looks stealthy
