Hi Geoff, my charger switches off after getting to 100%, it does not keep trying to charge up all night (lights goes off on the charger and it cools down), so it is fine to leave it when you go to sleep (on both Bosch motor and Brose), so unless Shimano technology is a bit behind times, your information is incorrect

Yes and no. Your charger is still taking in power and constantly topping up your battery. It’s best not to tire out your chargers transformer, if you want to keep it in peak form
