  • Hear my thoughts on my first venture into the world of E bikes. After much deliberation I decided to go with the Orbea Rise, because of its super light status but still powerful motor. Then I couldn’t pass up this more capable version of the bike in Alloy. For the price and the don’t have to worry about carbon frame. This was too good not to buy.
Full credit to Orbea for building a quality bike. And full credit for the overlays in the video pulled from their website.

Nice to see someone with a rise who can actually ride! I'm enjoying my h15.
It's my first ebike and first shorter travel bike.
Was a bit worried about the 140mm rear but the kinematics with the fantastic float X and max volume spacer I'm surprised how much support it gives.
My hub gave in after 2 weeks!! They really are bad those shimano ones.
Didn't bother to warranty it, didn't want to wait so just upgraded to a fortus.

      Thanks mate! Appreciate it!
It’s an epic bike, definitely does great with 140mm. I need to play around with spacers. So thanks for the heads up. I’ll give that a go.
Crazy your hub gave up in 2 weeks! If it happens again I will just upgrade too!

Great review video. I also have the H15. I had to change dropper posts due to length. The stock dropper would not go down into the frame low enough for me because of the charging port. I went with the Fox Factory Kashima Coat dropper and the Factory rear shock as well. The bike is awesome. I can now ride with everyone from my couch potato friends to the ex-pro racers.

      Thanks for the great review!
I have been thinking I would like to match up the dropper with the kashima shock and fork. Thanks for the info on the shorter stack height.
I have found the same about being able to ride with acoustic and full powered e bikes pretty well.
      Keep enjoying the bike🤙

I happened to have a Minion DHR laying around so I put it on the front of the H15 and moved the Dissector to the rear. Converted to tubeless as well. The new combo and lower psi really improves grip especially on damp mornings

Yeah that is a solid combo there. I will eventually go an Assegai on the front, keep the dissector on the rear to keep up some rolling speed.

Nice video! Where is the constant chatter sound coming from? Seems to go away from time to time but at other times it’s distinctive and constant. If that the motor, gearing?

Nice jumping! You seem to be very agile with the Rise. Out of interest, what is your height and the bike size you're riding. It seems riders who prefer xc riding lean towards a bigger size frame. Riders who are more engaging with their bikes seem to lean towards smaller frame sizing. I like to be more engaging and think maybe a smaller frame size may suit me.
