    Hello was just wondering why there is no black wire (neutral) connected to your main lug on the fuse block. I see a wire connected to the positive lug on vent fuse block. Thanks

    If you want to do it right you need to run a new set of 6 gauge wires from your battery to the accessory bus bar under the hood.

    Nice video! Just a couple quick questions as I just order this exact same setup for my Polaris RZR. How did you wire your switches? Did you just run them to the fuse block? So you cut all your wire harnesses? What about the ones that had a relay on them? I am just having trouble on how to wire everything up to the fuse block.

    Does the ignition source wire connect to the main power wire too, then to the fuse block? What I mean is, are did you connect the fuse block to both the accessory terminal on the left and to the positive terminal on the right, of the factory bar?

      BTW, in a years time, its gone up $29

      I had that same question, it seems like the switches would work regardless of the ignition being on or not if it was connected to the battery positive terminal on the right.

      I had the same issue, found out that the 200 amp fuse on the cable from the battery to the bus bar was blown

    hi great setup, i just bought the same fuse box, dont know if its the exact same part number, was wondering i am a pro on the electric side, can i take the wires that goes from my battery cut them and put it on the pins on the firewall and from there put new wires to go back to the winch and from the same pins on the fire wall and run the positive and negativ to the fuse box or do i need to run new wires from the battery direct to the fuse box? i have a 32'' light bar, 12'' light bar on bumper, a wich, back up light and will have a marine stereo. hope you understand what i mean i am french haha :) great video and thanks for sharing !!!

    I have been struggling on how to wire the same fuse block to my Ranger. I only want power to come on when i turn the key. Thank You

    • @BrianFolkers
      @BrianFolkers Před 4 lety +2

      Run the main power wire to the block from the accessory block instead of the positive terminal of the battery.

    • @MrSpidey35004
      @MrSpidey35004 Před 4 lety

      Brian Folkers when you say block , are you talking about the buse bar

    • @BrianFolkers
      @BrianFolkers Před 4 lety

      MrSpidey35004 yeah. If you only want the power on when the key is on, run a wire the accessory pole from the buse bar to the main power of the district block. In this video he just runs it from the positive on the battery

  • @jpcsmokeater

    Jonathan- I’m having the same issue with my rocker switches staying on. I have the Blue Sea fuse box but i did not buy from Vent Racing. Did the wiring harness you have come from Vent Racing?

    • @jonathanalvarez4592
      @jonathanalvarez4592  Před 6 lety

      JP Clinton if switches are staying on then that means that they are connected directly to the battery and not to the ignition source that is located on the factory accessory bar under the hood. So whatever after market accessory bar you are using that needs to be connected to your ignition source. When you’re looking at your factory accessory bar under the hood it is the post all the way on the left side is your ignition source.
      The other 2 post are your + and - that run directly to the battery. Those are mainly there for a winch.

    • @jonathanalvarez4592
      @jonathanalvarez4592  Před 6 lety

      JP Clinton the Vent Racing busbar comes with a short wiring harness that has 3 wires. One connects to the ignition source, one to the positive, and one to the negative on the factory accessory bar located under your hood. Now not all model Razors come with the factory accessory bar wired to the battery. Some models do and more basic models like my RZR Trail do NOT come with the factory accessory bar prewired. I had to run 6 awg. wire to the battery from my factory accessory bar.

    • @jpcsmokeater
      @jpcsmokeater Před 6 lety

      Jonathan Alvarez- ok so I have the factory busbar and I have the wiring harness wired directly to the factory bus bar. Then jumped from bus bar to Blue Sea Fuse Box (which is what Vent Racing uses). I’m thinking I’ll have to put in a relay somewhere...

    • @jonathanalvarez4592
      @jonathanalvarez4592  Před 6 lety

      JP Clinton I don’t think you need to add any relay. Does the Blue Sea fuse box have 3 wires or only 2 wires?

    • @jpcsmokeater
      @jpcsmokeater Před 6 lety

      Jonathan Alvarez it has a positive and negative terminal. I’m thinking that’s the extra feature that Vent Racing added to their fuse box. It looked like your wiring harness had the ignition wire wired into it.

    @mitchsmith4292 Před 5 lety

    your wire is not rated for 30 amps might need 15 for a 18ga wire!! Just a thought small wire would burn before fuse blew
