that line of shuriken batteries is intended for use with large aftermarket car audio setups, its what replaced large capacitors, it protects the vehicle electronics and charging system in newer vehicles from voltage drops...essentially what you are using it for. The 800 watt rating is on there for car audio customers to properly size the battery to their application.
Unlike traditional lead acid starter batteries these will stay a consistent 12.5 volts for much longer, they charge extremely fast, the can take abuse, Ive ran them dead hundreds of times and Ive had one drop a cell after 10 years of neglect and abuse.
Thanks for the video, I am in the process of doing a very similar setup on my 19 xp4 turbo preferably with that brand of battery but needed info on fitment.
I will have to check out the smart isolator, generally I run an isolator off the ignition sense wire, this allows it to charge once vehicle is running, isolates it when off, and will not pull from the second battery when starting.

Thank you for explaining the charging process and explanation for the installation off the aux battery. I just got an led light bar and street legal kit installed on my RZR 900 and it won’t start. Now, I know I need another battery to run the accessories and how/what’s needed to install it properly. EXCELLENT INFO!

Is the secondary an AGM? If so from what I understand you don’t want to mix AGM and flooded. I have done this and over time you will unintentionally over charge the flooded battery. Slowly cooking it. Ended up talking with two manufacturers to figure this out. Plus the two need different types of maintainers.

Hi Bryan - great video, thank-you. Two questions please. 1. Can you clarify what gauge cables you’re using from battery to battery? 2. From the marine fuse to your post up front, you’re using that post to drive all accessories including your winch? My very near future adds will be a winch, lights bars, and 2 amps for speakers/subs. So any high level advice on where you would source their power (added post and/or stock accessory post) would be appreciated. Just bought a 2021 rzr xp 1000 premium.

Hey Sammy, the 2021 has a different accessory bus bar, but I would still look at running the separate power cable up front how I did. I really like isolating the battery from accessories. I got stranded one night from winching so hard that I killed the primary battery. I have 7 gauge between the batteries and 6 up to the post because it’s a longer run.
