The Fire Nation is one of the world's four nations and five sovereign states. It is an absolute monarchy led by the Fire Lord and home to most firebenders. Geographically, the nation is located along the planet's equator in the western hemisphere and is composed of several islands. Its capital is simply known as the Fire Nation Capital.

Imagine as a regular citizen of Fire Nation who got evacuated during Sozin's Comet and when the Comet is over, you found Fire Lord Ozai got depowered by The Avatar and then he immediately got replaced by his disgrace and traitor son, Zuko. Princess Azula is taking to asylum because of her mental instability and you look how she's screaming and crying while getting dragged to Asylum, General Iroh whom everyone consider as a total failure liberated Ba Sing Se as his payback with White Lotus and then Ba Sing Se being independent again.
Your reaction is either confused and shocked at first, and finally just accepted the fate that the war is over and everyone living in harmony and peace. But the real problem is, the propaganda that has been spread with lies and deception still stuck in your mind and you will need take a lot of time to release it.
I imagine there would be a situation similar to post World War 1 Germany's 'Stab in the Back' narrative. The new air force has suffered a setback but the army and navy are undefeated. A coup has taken place and the new rulers, who were declared traitors years before, are surrendering to your inferiors.

The first Firelord you see in the hall of portraits is Fire Lord Zoryu. Zoryu started a project that will give his family and the next fire lords more power. He also killed off one of the clans in the Fire Nation so he could gain more power. The Fire Lord before Zoryu was Fire Lord Chearyu . He was a good Fire lord that has been marked with good harvest. Then the Fire Lord before Chearyu was Fire Lord Yosor, the first Fire lord
There were Chaeryu and zoryu when kyoshi was young. Zoryu is Azula and Zuko combined and he is dope. One of my favorite firelords.
Actually Sozins father was a complete asshole, he was the one who put in his son the whole idea of expansion. And Sozin grandfather was a nice man but he was so weak on personality that his son dominated him, the good one was Zoryu who was Sozin's great-great-great-grandfather. You can find that information in the book "Legacy of the Fire Nation"

The fire nation is based on Imperial/post-war Japan. Air Nomads based of Tibet, the Earth Kingdom widely based on China, and the water tribes from various northern tribes, such as the Inuits.

Following what Naruto taught me this is how I see it, Hokage is pronounced as Ho-Kah-gay, which to me means Kemurikage would be pronounced Keh-mur-I-kah-gay

Pretty sure it's pronounced as Kemuri kah-geh. The fire nation seems to be a derivative of imperial japan and they pronounce a only one way, as ah(あ) and not ey. I also think the kage in kemuri kage stems from the word kage(shadow) in japan. And kemuri means smoke.

@@coreywigent7693 People respected the lion turtles enough not to even dare dupe them - likely fearing whatever they may do in return too. The only condition to being safe from the spirit wilds was to just not do that one thing, and ain't nobody brave enough to try and live exclusively out there.
Also helps that that was just the status quo for however long; you need a reason to do something new and no one had any reason to do anything because everything was fine. Wan didn't accept the status quo, hence why he tried something new.

Y’all ever think about how utterly ridiculous Avatar’s timeline is? Sozin died in maybe ~5 AG, and Azulon died in 94 AG. Among other things, this means that Azulon ruled the Fire Nation for NINETY YEARS, without having children until he was well into his 70’s.
Azulon was born the same year Sozin began the war. Sozin was 82 at the time. He lived to be 102, and then Azulon ascended the throne at age 20. Azulon became a father for the first time at age 36, reigned until his death at age 95, and his younger son Ozai became Fire Lord after him. At the time, Azulon's firstborn son Iroh was 59 years old. We don't know the age difference between Iroh and Ozai, but most speculate it's around 20 years, which would make Ozai approximately 44-45 when he is deposed and Zuko becomes Fire Lord just shy of age 17. By the time Zuko abdicates the throne to his daughter Izumi, his grandson Iroh II is already 33 years old.

Well I thought I’d mention what my deceased friend theorized about South American mythos and the secret ties to an hidden link to the fire Nation and earth kingdom meddling in the worlds past:
In the ancient South American myths ( thanks to the history channel show ancient aliens) he said was the myth of the sun warrior and the earth queen which was an ancient creation myth , but…he says that the name has significance because ( A) sun warriors was the precursor culture for the fire Nation and Earth queen was (B) an reference to an pre series 2 reference to an ancient earth kingdom ruler here’s why:
1- in some versions of that myth it refers to sky beings who built that culture’s ancient temples by levitating stones in the air to the sound of an rams horn and second, others in modern terms burning or wielding the stones into place with their bare hands, with what in modern times is seen as pinpoint accuracy that you could easily in some cases be able to slide an sheet of paper between 2 stones oddly…( actually referenced in an episode of that history channel show ) which he said Qoute “ if these theories were ever remotely true , then the gold that the Spanish learned of later from the ancient indigenous cultures they got information from about this myth caused them to try to find an ancient forgotten tribute by the ancient local tribes who during that brief period in the past had hidden for human element weilders/ people they saw as gifted by the ancient gods..” but also he said also “ if true the Spaniards didn’t know the markers to find the ancient gold tribute which is if someone were to find hidden symbols for both kingdoms etched in the structures themselves like guide markers “( but if even remotely true, it means that dimensions two most oldest and advanced cultures if true meddled in the worlds past in more than one dimension technically) just thought I’d mention my deceased friends one Theory on this…
