Ozai was the ruler of the Fire Nation during the final years of the Hundred Year War, reigning as Fire Lord from 95 to 100 AG. He was the second son of Fire Lord Azulon and Ilah, the younger brother of Iroh, uncle of Lu Ten, husband to Ursa, the father of Prince Zuko and Princess Azula, and the paternal grandfather of Izumi. Ozai was a firebending master and, prior to the end of the war, was believed to be the most powerful firebender in the world. After Iroh's only son, Lu Ten, died, Ozai usurped his brother's birthright to the throne in a scheme that resulted in his father's death and Ursa's banishment. Ozai's rule saw a mass buildup of industry and significant technological advancements. Like his father and grandfather before him, Ozai sought to conquer the other nations and become the supreme ruler of the world. To do this, he planned to utilize Sozin's Comet to burn down the Earth Kingdom, renouncing the title of Fire Lord and declaring himself the Phoenix King, ruler of the world. Before his plans could come to fruition, he was defeated by Avatar Aang, who used energybending to remove his firebending abilities permanently. After the end of the war and Zuko's crowning, Ozai was sentenced to life in prison for several war crimes. However, he was able to maintain a degree of influence on world politics through some of his loyal followers creating the "New Ozai Society" and his son, who occasionally sought advice from Ozai. As a result, the former Fire Lord was indirectly responsible for the failure of the Harmony Restoration Movement.

The life of aizen
Long ago, Fire Lord Ozai wanted to rule the entire world. Then, everything changed when Aang took his bending.
I already watched the series but spoiled it for everyone else
That’s how I remember it
@@Blade7234 I mean if ur watching this vid u probably watched the show
@@shockedbucket yea but maybe they can’t watch it so they came here to watch it
@@Blade7234 broskie I’d get it if it was aang or smth but this is OZAI ain’t no way someone who can’t watch the show watches life about (insert character name) because then in order to watch the show you would have to rewatch the same story from different peoples perspective which no no no u make no sense
Zuko wasn't lucky to be born. Ozai was lucky to be Zuko's father.
Who else loves Avatar?
me
everyone
I do!!😫 fire Dxddy!!
Wait that’s zuko😏
Who doesn't
I do! 🙋
When Zuko redirected lightning back at Ozai's that was epic.
Aang: Fire Lord Ozai. We don't have to fight! You have the power to end this war and stop what you're doing!
Ozai: Okay.
*The End*
Eh, it was worth a shot I guess lol.
The worse part about Ozai is that he tried to steal the throne from Iroh after Lu Ten's death.
He did though
Even if Iroh become fire lord, Zuko would have still been Firelord
The worst part ist, he was going to kill his own son *3 times.*
The storyline of the royal family in the fire Nation feels like game of thrones
Tywin Lannister is my favorite Game of Thrones. Daenerys is my second favorite Game of Thrones character.
Aang took Ozai's bending
Zuko took Ozai's throne
Ursa took Ozai's pride
He then later hung himself in his cell
Random Fire Nation assassin: I took Ozai's life!
Also Ursa: I took his virgi-
Technically it was never Ozai's throne, he just illegally sat on Iroh's throne.
@@shockedbucket There is zero chance of that.
Its amazing that a show could make such a evil and awful character so interesting
Imagine if Zuko wasn't Ozai's biological son.
Azulon should've ordered him to kill the one child he did love, Azula.
Ozai didn't love azula he only wanted to brag about her talent
Wonder if he would have killed Azula. Like the only hesitation he would have is that he has to kill his prodigal daughter.
And even then Azulon wouldn't want to let such a prodigal child just be slaughtered carelessly.
There are 2 things that make Todoroki's dad Endeavor different from Ozai.
1. Endeavor is a hero
2. Endeavor never scarred his son
Technically you can say he was responsible for the scar though
It was endeavors wife
@@baseupp12 As much as I detest how Endeavor treated his family, I still don't blame Endeavor for scarring his son. His mother went bonkers and attacked her son. While yes Endeavor drove her into insanity, she still attacked her own son. It was an accident. Endeavor didn't mean for it to happen. Ozai straight up fire blasted Zuko in the face, there was no unintentional consequences of abusing a spouse. Ozai knowingly assaulted his own son.
Yeah, and at least Endeavor is trying to atone. Ozai probably never will have any character growth.
I always thought Ozai was one of those one dimensional villains just looking for world dominance. But his story is much more layered and complex putting him up there with Zaheer. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
"No harm will come to either of them" (2 years later) "RISE AND FIGHT, PRINCE ZUKO!"
I know Ozai is essentially pure evil with no redeemable qualities, but I was kind of hoping that he actually would help Zuko make good decisions. It would have at least been a way to show he wasn't just a completely worthless human being. It does make sense considering he is essentially just supposed to be a child abusing, murderous, power mad, psychopath, but idk I felt like it was a missed opportunity to make him more human without removing him being evil. I guess to some degree his advice did help, because Zuko knew to do the exact opposite of what his father proposed.
Not gay but I'm the only one to realize how handsome he was
I mean he's a solace psychopath that probably would kill everyone and his proximity as long as he could show off and no compassion no remorse and no emotion for anyone else but himself but yeah I would be lying if I didn't say he was at least kind of hot
I can't imagine if Zuko and Azula were born as Non-benders. Who knows what Ozai would do to them.
1 not possible
2 if that happened hed either slajghter them or banish them
Honestly I would hope iron would step in like holy shit
@@mahdirazi2754How is that not possible lol
MovieFlame made this video with 20 minutes and 26 seconds.
Amagi: “We can do it in just 19 minutes and 39 seconds.”
I love both channel as they both have a narrated channel and visual
Finally I was looking for this video from your channel
In the netflix reboot thingy, I would enjoy seeing Ozai have more screen time and show off some deathstroke level of attributes with firebending in the mix (Or all elements if they want to rewrite reality a bit and make him a dark avatar somehow and slays a lion turtle to get energybending. But with Ozai and Vaatu were the same person due to Iroh’s mother, Ilah, helping him escape, and him having his dark avatar state is just HC reigniting his depleted dark power.)
I also hope Ozai and Iroh have their long overdue agni kai but it's to the death, and Ozai wins, and that he epically battles and murders the entire white lotus all by himself. The desert and the southern raiders are perhaps where Aang and Katara are at their angriest, I want to see that rage again but doubled and it's aimed at Ozai due to whatever atrocities he's inflicted on them and gaang personally, but unlike with the sandbenders and yon rah, Ozai will not cower in fear nor will he be easy to bring down, in fact, it'll be completely the other way around after he cleverly uses their rage against them.
Aang eventually learns energybending and spiritbending on his own, combines them and uses them to absolve and pacify Ozai for good. Iroh's absolved soul appears in front of them and they go to the spirit world together, kinda like with Eriqus and Xehanort in the ending of kingdom hearts 3. (Or back to the dark avatar idea, after Ozaatu is pacified, Aang alters Raava and Vaatu's energies, Raava draws power from darkness as well as light where Vaatu is weakened by his own power, ergo Raava evolves into the avatar spirit of light/peace and darkness/chaos at the same time, aka, the avatar spirit of balance itself.)
I actually really wish we saw Ozai do some Deathstroke level s**t in the original series, I'm not sure I would've liked to see the Dark Avatar concept in Avatar, it felt foreign to me and everything else apart from the Deathstroke part... uhm... it seems convoluted and contrived.
No offense but that sounds a terrible idea.
Honestly Zuko would've been Ozai they both grew up with ruthless fathers and in a totalitarian regime. Zuko having Iroh is what saved his soul, unfortunately Ozai had no one to save his soul.
True. in the comics its really obvious Ozai is the mirror to Suko if he made the wrong choices.
Nobody ozai:GIVES HIS SON TRAUMA AND A SCAR. Ozai:🙄
I'm gonna binge Avatar for my review of the live-action movie!
Imagine if Shoto's dad Endeavour met Ozai. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Well he can't since Ozai is dead and it will stay that way
@@chipotletheexperience It was never stated that Ozai died.
@@controlman7490 So your saying a likely 30 or 40 yo ozai outlived a 10 year old anng?
@@chipotletheexperience It's possible because people in the Avatar universe have lived for centuries before.
Avatar is one of my best series
The one main antagonist that did not die.
I mean Amon and Unalaq are the only main antagonists that died.
In the original, none of the villains died, not even Zhao as he's confirmed alive in The Legend of Korra.
@@TooSweet353 just in the Spirit World as punishment for angering one of the most important nature spirits by killing his counterpart temporarily.
I love your vids keep up the good work
Great that we have more Avatar videos.
Great video 💯🔥
Ozai's life began when I sat on the bowl and ended when I flushed.
I am truly grateful to have grown up with the Avatar/Korra franchise. It was an experience that I will never forget. 🌊⛰️🔥🌬️

Nice job 👍
I saw a video explaining what happens to ozai later in this life one day zuko went to go check on him in his cell oh he was old to shoveled he pretty much didn't change spend the rest of his life in a cell and pretty much unrepented then has zuko approached him to check on him he fell to the ground and was dead I kind of figured it was poetic irony because his whole life he was a cold, uncaring man, abusive husband and father who designed power and nothing else even his own firstborn son he thought was weak and was a disgraced he hated him the mouse because he was always weak in his eyes and didn't live up to his expectation and now in his end of his life he was not fired but it was the one and with all the power that he once had while he doesn't have any power at all anymore and is spending the rest of his life in a so for his crimes seeing the faces of those he heard and knowing that they will not be hurt by his cruelty and ambition and the last thing he sees before is his son who he the song now fire lord that's his life fades from this world the son he never acknowledged or cared about it it's the last thing he sees and his final moments on this Earth is that not ironic in a way.
Ozai is the darth Vader of this show
No he’s the Emperor Palpatine of the show, Darth Vader has redeeming qualities, Ozai has none
I just noticed something. You guys never made a what if iroh became the fire lord? That would be a cool video idea
I’m surprised Azula didn’t have any fire bending
Nice
I’ve been wondering about this character as well
Mark Hamill Fire Lord Ozai 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fire Lord izumi is looking flameo
2 videos in 1 day 😱
17:26 This is also a smart move, because by breaking off the conversation, Ozai has, on the one hand, shown power because Zuko follows his order to leave the cell and, on the other hand, he has ensured that Zuko cannot finish the conversation and that's why remains permanently in the focus of his thoughts.
You guys should create eren yeager as a konoha ninja
this would take place after eren found out how to transform but hadn't master it yet.
Yesss
17:22 Here, Ozai once again uses a simple trick to unsettle Zuko by *asking* him if he trusts the Avatar more than himself, thereby distracting Zuko from the fact that Zuko and the Avatar have the same point of view. If he had simply told Zuko to do what he thought was right and not what the Avatar thought was right, Zuko would have simply replied that he and the Avatar shared the same idea of right and wrong, but that Ozai Zuko *asks* whether Zuko trusts the Avatar more than himself, he is already alienating Zuko from the Avatar by building doubts in Zuko's mind as to whether the Avatar is *at all* trustworthy if "an outsider" is already doing so begins to judge the two of them in terms of their trustworthiness, which Ozai *indirectly* does through this question. If Ozai had been openly hostile to the Avatar, Zuko would have defended his friend, but since Ozai only asks a question, there is nothing for Zuko to defend against, and the doubt and distrust can creep into Zuko's troubled mind, leading him further and further away from rationality.
what would have happened if ozai had learned to master all the rare masteries of firebending and also learn to master all fire control techniques and also learn to block chi and also learn to master all fighting techniques and also learn to master all styles of fighting and also learn to master all martial arts and also learn to master all weapons
Idea what if luffy was in mha
17:12 Ozai used a very simple trick here to manipulate Zuko. He first made a statement that one could potentially agree with, then made a statement that he knew Zuko would disagree with, and delivered that "false" statement as if it were the core of what he wanted to say . Zuko pounced on this second statement and already subconsciously saved the *first statement* as correct. This is one of the oldest tricks for getting someone to do something you want in the long term, because the manipulated person believes that they have defied you and thereby becomes more open to the idea of a few of your "secondary" suggestions , to perceive “voluntarily”.
Ozai, the worst dad in Avatar history.
🔥🔥🔥
haii!
also i havent seen the avatar in a while i doubt it but is there any new episodes?
Here within an day ticket
When do each of these videos come out?
Why didn't he just kill Zuko. Monsters like Ozai seldom keep their word even threatened and his wife is no longer there to protect Zuko.
To ask this question proves you know nothing about Ozai. Zuko was supposed to be his heir and was set in place for that to happen, it was only when Ozai felt disrespected by Zuko in the war room and and his refusal to fight in the Agni Kai that Ozai then decided to banish him.

Hi
16:59 I HATE to say this, but in a way, Ozai is right. Most people simply follow the law in defining right or wrong. However, a monarch/regent does not follow any applicable law, because he *is* the law. The law does not shape people, but people shape the law, but most people have forgotten that and allow themselves to be shaped by the law that someone else has invented. Animals are smarter than humans in this regard because they mostly use their instincts when making decisions. If an action feels right, then they act and if it doesn't, they don't do it. People, on the other hand, really do everything they can to avoid having to decide and act independently. Instead of creating their own path to happiness, they choose between the paths that someone else has created for their happiness and as a result, they achieve exactly this:
Someone else's happiness, but never your own.
In Germany we say:
Ein Mann fragt den anderen "ist es so recht?" und das unterscheidet den reichen vom Knecht.

Is his hatred towards Zuko because of the fake letters his wife sent out?
Well, Ozai was ready to give up his son from his birth. So it has always been. Ursa's letters just gave him new grounds for such an attitude. There is a hypothesis that Azulon always favored Iroh more. Therefore, in his eldest son, Ozai now saw "new Iroh".
@@stasynelIt would be interesting if Ozai and Iroh’s mom died during the birth of Ozai and that is another reason Azulon treats his youngest son with such contempt.

So if the Avatar takes down the fire lord it's okay but if the fire lord is defeated by his own son then it just looks like senseless violence in the ongoing Game of Thrones? WTF.
Personally I don't think Zuko defeating his father should be any less celebrated than if Aang did it. It's two people with the same goal in mind and the same good intentions.
Iroh could have probably taken him down too, but he didn't want to because it would have been seen as a brother killing another for the throne.
Ozai is a terrible person now could be betray is family
