Olaf Stanton and his team at Characters Unlimited build every Zoltar by hand out of their studio in Boulder City, Nevada. Here's how the magic comes together.

I miss these fortuneteller machines. When I was a kid, I used to see them everywhere- in shopping centers, department stores, county fairs and drug stores. My favorite was the Gypsy Woman fortuneteller machine. It costed 15¢ which was a lot of money in the 1970s because a Charms Blow-Pop was 10¢.

Chicago and Wildwood New Jersey still have a few left. I remember the two for a Penny candies and if you had a dollar you were able to walk out of the Five and Dime store with a full bag. Oh and gas was a quarter a gallon!

I just visited my first Zoltar. I always wanted to try one out for fun and it was. I love anything that keeps my inner child alive and well. Thank you to the makers ❤

My father has wanted a zoltar machine since he first watched that movie and ive got around $2k saved up so far, ive been going for years trying to save up the money to get him one and I won't stop until I do, one day I hope I can surprise him with a real machine

We also have that Zoltar here in the Philippines. I love the fortune, the wisdom is very good.
I saw one in oregon as a kid and it spooked the shit out of me as a kid. not so spooky now, but as a kid i think it was one of the uncanny human like things i ever saw

The third Zoltar in the trio shown in this video is on the Harmony Of The Seas (Royal Caribbean) and I think also on the Allure Of The Seas, on the Boardwalk area of the ship.

I remember seeing one in the mall in the food court back by the bathrooms in the early 90s and that one I could swear was one you don't see anywhere not even when you Google them. Only the newer ones come up. Always loved these things but over 8k is alot to be asking.
