Did you not see my other post about the freespool on this reel? You can lift the thumbar up at any time after pressing it down without cranking the handle. Got mine today. Piece of work. Amazing can't wait to use it
What would you recommend for a heavy pulling bait reel (double 10 bucktails etc.)? Right now I’m looking at the Diawa lexa TW 400P-P, lexa HD 400PWR-P, the Okuma Komodo SS KDS-436P, shimano tranx 500, and the Diawa Prorex 400P-P. I would prefer a solid line pickup (in terms of spool size) and a gear ratio of 5.3:1 5.1:1 4.3:1 or 4.1:1
Got new baitcaster it diawa prorex baitcaster 400 and got rod it one musky telescopic musky rod from musky Innovations it 9 foot telescopic musky rod it Pro Big Dawg Bull Dawg Rod 9’ XXX Heavy Telescoping ( from musky Innovations lure weight 10oz to 50oz And line weight 65lb to 130lb line I'm be put 80 test on it power pro line using reel and telescopic musky rod to cast big heavy musky lures and rubber Bates
Yea you seem to not understand gear ratios. Higher gear ratios have less power and torque. Your high gear Prorex would be good for pull pause baits where you need to pick up slack line but not for burning big blades. It’s possible but not ideal.
@@Nate-nn9sk hey Nate if you change the handle to paddle it’s even better then those i know there’s no options but if you change it to paddles it runs beautifully
Looks beautiful!

Have the 7.1 in the left hand ! They are awesome !
It’s stiff so it doesn’t re engage while your casting a big lure and snap the lure off. Musky lures are expensive
What is the difference between the TW and TWS? Can't find any online explanation other than "re-branding"
Does the prorex tws 400 have dubbel pionion support?
St. (Croye) rods.

I would go with the tranx 500 5.3:1 and I’ve put this prorex in action and it’s amazing with big baits too.

Not great for #10 bucktails , amazing for showgirl size baits .
Caught a couple muskies with it already
