Hey i have downloaded enlisted and on my PS4 and was wondering will you guys the best youtubers in the world play with me plz my user name is kratosandboy84 no spaces
Ellis i would hardly call the industry standard of 150db as quiet what you see on tv and films is complete bullshit yes they do make them quieter but you will still know when one is fired that's why they are called suppressors not silencers they merely make it so you don't have to wear hearing protection.
There really needs to be a Wheeze-O-Meter to measure Gabby's laughter. Partly as a way to see how funny a video is going and partly to make sure the lass is getting enough oxygen.
Since when was Gabby ever getting oxygen? The WPE's entire life is just one big wheeze. You think she has time to breathe? Definitely not mate. 😂
@@antmess9789 Fair points. This lot should go into deep sea exploration. They could tour the Titanic without scuba gear.
@@buddythewonderdog8065 Very true. They'd make a lot of discoveries. Granted, knowing them, they'd also break half the ship and stab themselves multiple times on sharp, rusted metal, just to name a few of the comedic mishaps they'd perform.
My mom rescued a cat that makes noises like my computer when it's fan is clogged. I'm sure it's the same, and they take gabby to the vet and the computer repair shop, ONE DAY we will figure it out
@@antmess9789 Forget the Avatar sequels. Get Jimmy Cameron working on *that*.
I think the whole "Not using silencers" thing is because they're on a budget, you're already using leftover mining equipment along with wearing clothes they had a surplus of, I wouldn't even be surprised that the guns were like $100 they got off of a shady site just to save some cash
Wallmart 10$ guns
@@mr.gandersson2835 You joke but that's probably a thing in America
@@kitsu1379 Guns start at about 400 for context. Although silencers are illegal without a license. And while there are guns as quiet as ellis is saying, its extremely specialized, extremely expensive, and are usually limited to firing about 100 meters (sub sonic bullets are not very accurate).
The reason silencers aren’t effective is because bullets create a sonic boom. And well, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why that isn’t quiet. Special ammo is required or special types of silencers in order to fire subsonic.
I would assume it's because silenced weapons are a bit less effective than non silenced weapons
Will say, there are very cheap (and shitty) guns In America called Hi-points.
Oh and what we call "Silencers" are actually suppressors. The kinds guns Ellis was talking about are the ones where they're built with an integrated one, or are entirely designed to be quiet. Like the mp5 (kind of) or the AS VAL or VSS Vintorez
Fun fact: the quietest gun to exist is the British Welrod, which had an integrated suppressor and had a sound range of around 72 decibels, which is about as loud as a modern car.
With the cars that go past my window... that's still fecking loud... or to you mean those electric ones?
@@kitsu1379 all it said was that the sound was approximately 70 or so decibels
Is that with or without the rubber seal perforated?
Because the first shot is the quietest, then the following 10 or so are reduced in volume, after that the seal is damaged to the point where is dosn't really affect the volume any more.
@@kitsu1379 Definitely not electric ones. They meant gas. You probably have horrible experiences with cars though. But yeah, silenced weapons are loud.
More correctly, it is the quietest WWII era gun. While still an amazing example, it was bolt-action and only suppressed at that level for the first shot. Each subsequent shot got progressively louder. Modern Suppressors, while mostly not as quiet, are far more re-usable, having service lifespans in the thousands of rounds. There are also several examples of suppressors that are in the same DB class as the Welrod while retaining the same long lifespan as other modern suppressors. These modern marvels are, quite literally, as quiet as Hollywood makes all "silencers" out to be. Note that these are EXTREMELY expensive high end models. Most suppressors get the decibel level down around 100-135db, which is still very, very quiet. By way of comparison, a Daisy Red Rider BB gun fires at 95db.
Jake: Cath, could you kill that one...
Cath: _I can do my usual shtick of not listening and kill this thing early for a laugh._
Jake: Just wait til we're ready to kill ours.
Cath: *tuts*
Jake: Don’t tut at me!
Cath losing her mind is the essence of this video. 9:10. Also that "my stinky" was the sweetest thing in the world. Ellis and Cath are couple goals.
Wow Caths aim with that turret…..is completely what I expected from her.
9:25 “nobody calls me a good girl other than my stinky!” Ok but that was actually cute anger.
As usual, Cath is getting others Cathed while getting Cathed herself. She's just her own worst enemy.
9:10 That's the hardest I've ever laughed at Cath yelling. I want to play a game with these guys!

“Jonk told me to!”
Cath that was your first mistake
Ellis: *talking to 9 people at once without saying anyone's name*
Also Ellis: why are you all so incompetent?!
Jonk and co. have singlehandedly given me more laughs than all modern comedians combined.
if only someone could clip ellis' "pew" sound and have it play whenever their on screen characters fire a weapon.....
my sister actually used to think that the colon was in the brain, and now im concerned that cath has actually proven her right
"Depression in; Dollars out."
Wait, isn't that how psychologists and psychiatrists work?
“The healing is not as rewarding as the hurting!”
Can we talk about the horrific Minecraft Ghast sounding noise that Ellis made at 1:40? That was genuinely accurate.
WPE Extras needs to make an "Alex being creep" compilation or something lol
As my psychiatrist once told me "If you could monetize your mental issues you'd be the richest person in all of human history". Seeing as I've made 2 therapists quit their job, as well as having had multiple doctors, therapists, and psychiatrists ask me "How are you still alive?" I think he may have been correct.

I love it . XD
As an American gun owner, I can say that “suppressors” silencers sort of do an okay job at silencing a firearm.
Some like 22LR with a sealed barrel can actually be as quiet as Ellis portrayed that's the funny thing
I wonder if Ellis ever heard a silenced weapon XD His Pew sounds like a .22LR with half amount of powder. Which, to be fair, can't be even called an ammo XD
even that would make a noise a lot louder than what ellis made but maybe if you have a silencer on top of it then perhaps it would be close considering that a silenced gun sounds like the guns you see on tv that does not have silencer
@@h13n12 well. One of the most quite I'd say guns in the world WWII Welrod is kinda louder, than what Ellis did. Even bow shoots arrows louder. Around 80-90 db. Which is louder than his psh-psh.
@@h13n12 I've just measured. If I whistle - it gives 83 db. So using silenced weapon is literally louder, than whistling for someone. The real difference is the area of spread of the sound, not that people can't hear it in the next room...
pretty sure silenced sten or de lisle carbine sounds like what Ellis described
@@drmaulana2600 sten - no. De lisle - yeah, kinda. It's a louder, than a Velrod, but overall it's somewhere there. Still not so much of a pew pew.
9:21 - The most adorable fury I have heard in a while.
Ellis is right the gun "bang" is quiet. Unfortunately the slide still makes a ton of noise feeding the next round so it's kind of pointless unless you are firing from long range.
*touches the ground*, about a year ago, a heard of internet nerds had a feeding frenzy here. The target looks like he survived, but his pride was wounded…
The rain in French is " la pluie" but I prefer "le rain" now 🤣
Hnnng. Ellis is wrong. Suppressed weapons are still loud it's just the sound is cut off short and most of the gasses are "suppressed" by the suppressor thus bringing the volume down slightly. It's not anywhere near as quiet as films make you believe and with some higher power weapons it is suggested to still wear ear protection.
I remember a while back I saw a video of someone using a gun (I can’t remember which one specifically) with subsonic rounds and a silencer, which was about as loud as someone talking. Maybe they were thinking of something similar? Idk though
pretty sure that was a joke mate, they all agreed that it was most definitly not "silent"
@@onechillghost9054 Depends on the round. If it's a .22 then yeah that shit's pretty quiet suppressed but a .50BMG is still gonna be a loud fucker even if suppressed.
Having a suppressor on a high power rifle is still useful as the sound won't travel as far as it would if it was sans suppressor. So for long distance sniping, you can crack out your shot and be gone with less risk of being heard or having your position compromised.
On another side, why don't they just blast the entire facility with Death Metal music? They know that these things get agitated by noise and light, but a constant stream of Death Metal for 8 Hours would surely make them forget about random door alarms going off.
@@jled787 because they would have to monetise the music which would cost more than the prisoners.

0:36 “Oh look, a glow shtick! Musht be the lasht one of the sheashon!”

1:30 dude. The heavy metal band font! That's just brilliant lmao, love it
“FUCKING SENTRY GUN” has to be my favourite quote of WPE
Oooh mr know it all doesnt know something. Nice vid. Btw silencers make it so that the gun wielder doesnt go deaf or get tinnitus when firing their gun. Its not at all what the movies make it out to be their still very loud. It only lowers the gun sound by about 20 decibels (of course that varies between guns) what you want is subsonic ammo for this type of engagement but because you guys play as convicts, i doubt they care enough to spend enough money giving you them.
I’m happy to see you wpe you always make my day better
I was about to go to sleep but apparently logic had other plans
9:09 That might be the angriest I've ever heard Cath get.
This is the first video of yours I've watched and truly, TRULY, I hope I can have a friend group like this in the future. Been a whole since I've genuinely laughed out loud from a video
At least you didn't Jonkify anyone's name in this vid. Loved it as always. 😂
Whenever I hear “silenced gun” I imagine a weapon with a ball-gag on instead of a suppressor on the barrel.

WPE please do more of the “Wpe breaking the game/game glitching” montages those are the best!
Ellis the sound you made was for a suppressed weapon with subsonic rounds outdoors. Without subsonic rounds and inside a building it would still be quite loud.
More like a suppressed airsoft gun. With an average gun, you'd need to have a squib to shoot that quiet (squib is a defective piece of ammunition that has a primer and bullet but no powder, it produces so little power it often causes the bullet to be stuck in the barrel)
Subsonic ammunition is ammunition designed to operate at velocities below the speed of sound, which at standard conditions is less than 273 m/s (900 ft/s) or Mach 0.80. This avoids the supersonic shockwave or "crack" of a supersonic bullet, which, particularly for suppressed firearms, influences the loudness of the shot.
Subsonic ammunition usually uses heavier bullets to retain as much energy as possible at the lower velocities. Some subsonic ammunition is used in non-suppressed firearms to gain the advantages of heavier bullet weights
Fun fact for suppressed (silenced) weapons is that the suppressor does actually silence the bullet being firing. But what people actually hear is the sound of the sonic boom as the bullet breaks the sound barrier because of how damn fast the rounds go. Though it IS possible for a suppressed weapon to be as quiet as movies portray them to be. The trick is to get a sub-sonic ammunition. Since the round doesn’t break the sound barrier it doesn’t produce a sonic boom and thus the gun actually does make a ticking sound. The Edge of Reality video on the SR-3M is the video that always comes to my mind when looking for a good example.
08:15 cath spamming in chat "I'm almost there" is so hilarious.
This is probably going to be a bit too wholesome for this channel, but one of my favourite things to see is when they all start ripping something else apart, rather than each other. I don't have a problem with it, but I find them all making fun of something to be a lot funnier
It's typical British humour, we're all about self-deprecation 😆
Such a cute maried couple, I love the banter and vibes xD
Silenced weapons sound like throwing metal necklaces against a pillow
1:02 I was on the toilet when cath said that 😂
i have missed watching you guys. I have covid and you are getting me through it
Silencers depend on how much internals are actually in them to decide if they just suppress the explosion from the barrel or actually silence it, followed by sub-sonic ammunition to nullify the sound of the bullet itself, spec ops used this to there advantage with the Hush-Puppy(Called so because it was used to Hush Puppies that barked) and even the MP5 where all you really heard was the action of the bolt for the MP5, and since the hush-puppy was single action, the operator had to pull back the slide themselves, removing even that sound.
Yeah, and yet even those hush puppies would be loud. It's all relative to the volume without a silencer, not to the volume of absolute silence.
@@antmess9789 they were graded for less than 30 decibels. if that, and that was just slaping an old suppressor on a commercial 9mm, and making the slide unable to move unless pilled. Modern day, MP5 would be the equivalent, it was graded for less than 20 on average. you have to remember, not even the movies show silenced weapons as completely silent, just quiet enough to be brushed off.
The fail on the lock sounded like R2-D2 scream
i love how there always laughs
Ellis knows cath so well he guessed she’s probably misread the 0 as an 8
In all seriousness, there are actually attachments that can work together to muffle a pistol to the point of a whisper, though it most likely will have to have the slide closed, meaning you have to manually chamber a bullet every shot.
Even those only work for a handful of shots and require specialized rounds as well. And if set up incorrectly (i.e. bodged together on platforms they aren't compatible with) they can cause some bizarre mechanical complications.
Supresssed guns are only that quiet in smaller rounds, like a .22 caliber. The larger ones are still pretty loud with a suppressor though it does definitely reduce the sound.
Love the New Vid!
Glosshtisskks, musssht be the lasscht one of the ssshesssion!!
Subscribing to you lot 3 years ago was the both worst and best financial descision I've made yet.
Hope the best for you Alex, stay strong we think about you my friend
A surpresed gun can still be pretty loud however if you use subsonic rounds its extremely quiet.
That is why sound suppressor sounds better than silencer.
Thanks for the video again guys. It was a great birthday gift for me. 🍀🌈🎂
When I saw something that caused my max loss hope in humanity, jokes and funny’s here is so helpful
i got and actually laughed a little at the star trac joke
I once had the opportunity to fire the suppressed version of the MP5 submachinegun, and it's definitely not silent, nor does it go "pew!". It actually makes a sound more like breaking branches; "crack! crack! crack!" I don't want to disagree too much with Ellis, because I too am in the Colossal Trivia Club, but hey...
Suppressed weapons aren't limited, they're "sonically challenged."
“Watch out for the ranged!”
*Tap*
“Ow”
Don’t know why this is funny but it is.
You get silenced weapons Ellis because if it wasn't silenced you'd instantly have everything on top of you the minute you opened up.
It's not a silencer, it's a suppresser, no a compensator, it's all just the same thing. It hides your muzzle flash, still loud af.
Silencers only really muffle the ignition of the powder inside the cartridge. Most bullets end up going super sonic which means that they break the sound barrier and that makes a HUGE cracking sound... so no silencers are not that silent.
fun fact old 22. rifles are so quiet without a suppresor that you can fire one in one room and not hear it in the adjacent room over a normal conversation!
(source: experience.)
On the topic of suppressed firearms noises "it's depend on velocity of the bullet when they pass through suppressor chamber", for firearms that fire supersonic bullet from the muzzle there would be a supersonic crack generated by the bullet because the bullet travel at supersonic speed (>340.3 m/s) that will peak around 129 - 131 db even at distance above 350 meters, for firearms that fire subsonic bullet from the muzzle there're wouldn't be a supersonic crack generated by the bullet because the bullet travel at velocity slightly slower than speed of sound which makes it much more quieter but much less effective at long range.
They're quieter, but never to the degree that you wouldn't notice being shot at even at the distance even if you lock the action and turn your self loading firearms into bolt/manual cranked gun.
The Welrod actually was that quiet for the first 3 or so shots.
I AM SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

So while watching your video I was eating peanuts and I went to go pour some peanuts in my hand but instead of peanuts I poured mountain dew on my hand I gotta say you guys are pretty distracting good job lol.
"Complex"? I find it quite simple, really.
*gets mauled to death*
The real point of a sound suppressor on a gun is to make it sound like something other than a gunshot. Only very small caliber guns go pew, like .22s. Most are about as loud as a car door slamming, but at least they don't sound like a gunshot.
I need an edit of the john wick scene where he and another guy shoot each other in the train station with suppressors but with the noise ellis made instead of the gunshots
Don't worry Alex I found the data joke funny
If I could monetize my depression I would be able to buy the entire milky way galaxy
11:13 maybe if it's a 22lr but everything else still goes bang its just meant to make it safe enough decibels that you don't need to wear ear protection and to throw enemy combatants off as to the location of the gunfire. For clarification they will still hear said gunfire it will just be harder to discern the direction.
