  • In this video we do a little experiment with the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus and Solarsaga 100w to see if we can go on a camping trip just using the Jacker to power the lot and only take 240v applicances - eg no gas cookers, no fire etc. All off the back of a mate who reckons he only wants to be able to use a MICROWAVE when he goes camping so he doesn't need to cook.

⏩ What's with the blue gloves?
Not after any CZcams fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing - easy to spot my videos! If that's not your thing and you'd prefer to watch a face, all good, I won't be offended, there's plenty of better looking ones to watch already on CZcams ;)
    ⏩ Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
⏩ What will you find here?
The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)

I’ve got a Jackery 1000 and use it with a microwave 750 w, and an air fryer. Total game changed and it will last a whole weekend

Interesting how your friend the simple nature of fire, cast steel plate, meat. Didnt think you could get more simple than that. I have been camping when electric things stop working and there is nothing more complicated than that. Gas burner as a backup just cause of the fire bans we get here is pretty much the limit of complicated you could want.

Yeah agree, camping with fire/grill is something special 👌

Not bad performance considering you did your cooking using the Jackery.
I use gas or wood fire fires for cooking normally. My battery pack is for lighting, laptop, charging stuff like phones and torches and the fridge which not normally run as a freezer.

Nice one mate . Do you think it would power a low wattage dehumidifier alright ?

Hold up, have I missed a video where you show how you mounted your 270 awning and a side fold tent? I hope that is on your video agenda.

@@VideoShowMeHow No, I thought I spotted a 270 awning on the other side, which would be hard to mount due to the space required for the YOWIE

@@richardwalsh5570 I think the Jackery 2000 Pro used in this video is rated at just over 2kWh and 42V/50Ah.
If your E-bike runs on a 12V battery and is 500 Ah, the Jackery 2000 will not fully charge it.
You may get 200 Ah out of it so less than a half charge.
If your E-bike battery is 24 Volt, it's half of this figure.
