    ⭐️ The problem for me was over tightening the battery cover on the car. Just loosen the set screws a little.

      Yup. For me, if the cart is upside down, and the front is to your right, loosening the top left battery cover screw worked. Have to turn the car on from off after the remote is on. Whatever, it works.

    Same thing happened to ours today, 08/07/22 and the batteries in the car weren’t good…we only unscrewed 3 screws that hold the batteries as a couple of them looked really bad so we discarded them all and replaced with 6 new ones and it finally worked! Thanks for sharing

    Due to not having a long enough or narrow enough screwdriver I couldn't expose the internal wiring underneath, but this initial setback helped me to discover that it was in fact just a change of the factory batteries that was the issue. Bingo! A FULLY FUNCTIONAL RC.

    The antenna wouldn't be the problem since the placement wouldn't have any affect (just like an OnStar antenna can be up, down, or sideways). By trial & error, we (naturally) changed out the batteries, opened the body to see that all connections were in tact, and then tried different ways of turning on the cart. What does work is to turn off both units and have them near each other; turn on the remote, then turn on the cart. Works every time.

    If you want to save some time follow these instructions. Once you turn the remote on put the Mario or Luigi Kart into test me. I waited 30 seconds or so then changed it to the on position and it went to a solid light.

    Do u happen to know what plugs into that white square thing next to the on an off switch under the car?

    • @TDLDIY
      @TDLDIY  Před 2 lety

      I think that was connected in the box when it was new as a test me / try me thing. So people could press buttons in the store.
      I could be wrong but i do remember I had to disconnect it when i open the toy, then wondered why nothing else connected afterwards.
      I hope this helps. Some toys use that area to charge it up from the controller but they are very small and dont last long.

  • @GoMango2541
    @GoMango2541 Před 3 lety +8

    The actual fix for me was bad battery contact on the cart make sure they are very clean reason I know it was it. I used a voltage meter and volts comming out of battery box was 8.5v meaning one of batteries was not making contact and not enough voltage to power the cart as soon and I cleaned it voltage went up to over 9volts. Don't have to play with the antenna or the remote.

    • @TDLDIY

      When the car is new in the Box, the remote has no batteries. A cable from that port provides 3 Volts to the remote for demo purposes. It has no use once you upack and put two batteries into the remote.

      there shouldn't be a wire from the kart to the controller. I think it comes that way from the box to allow people to test in the store. You have to turn the car on first then the controller. I hope this helps try replacing the batteries.
