Hi Ryan, those were birds, not flowers, on the tree. They are galahs (not little, by the way, and emphasis on the second syllable). "Galah" is also an insult; if someone did something stupid, you might say "What are you doing, you great galah?". The pile of baked goodies are hot cross buns, which are traditional treats to eat before Easter (especially on Good Friday). The cross represents, you know, the cross. The joke is that supermarkets put them on the shelves from Boxing Day (the day after Christmas), which as you might know is way before Easter. I reckon the "rat" was a snake or lizard head.

wow Jace is growing up fast! So cute :)
Coming from an early childhood background though, I cringe at baby walkers, they're really bad for baby development & long term back stability. Best option is "tummy time" & encouraging them to lift their heads & build muscles that will lead into crawling & later walking (which I know they don't like, cause it's hard work for them, but it's really good for them). Trolleys for babies to pull up on & hold to push around when they're at that stage of development are fine, but baby walkers put them into an upright position too early for their development & reduce the development of muscles that lead into stability & solid physical development for later life.
There's been lots of calls to straight out ban the walkers in Australia, "jolly jumpers" are banned, walkers I think are still available, but rarely used, lots of education campaigns here as to how bad they are & so very rarely bought or used here. I get the feeling the US is VERY different in relation to this sort of stuff with babies, so hope this doesn't come across as offensive, I just really can't watch it without commenting, cause of my background & knowing what a problem they can be. Standing on a parent's lap & jumping or whatever is also totally fine, but the walkers just hold them unnaturally & for periods longer than the baby will in other settings, which is just really not good for them. I've seen 2 kids in centres I've worked in over many, many years, that have used walkers at home & in both cases, the results were really clear. One parent was willing to look & see her child's development compared to all the others of the same age & stop using the walker, the other was not & it was REALLY noticeable, with significantly impaired gross motor skills compared to other kids even by 5 years of age when they aged out & started school. If the walkers are common in the US, there's probably not other kids not using them to compare to to see the difference, but the difference in climbing, balance, muscles strength & general gross motor skills is really clear, particularly when the walkers are used a lot
