- In recent days on Twitter, Prince has been dropping teasing mentions of something happening on Jan. 21. Now, his plans have been revealed: he’s hosting a “gala event” at Paisley Park, with “music” promised - apparently a preview of his postponed Piano & a Microphone tour. He announced the news in a multicolored series of tweets, but hasn’t yet shared additional details regarding time, cost, or lineup.
Prince’s Piano & a Microphone tour - with Prince performing solo at the keyboard - was originally planned to take place this fall in cities across Europe. Ticket sales were first postponed due to concern over exploitation by ticket resellers, and then the entire tour was postponed until further notice in the wake of the Paris attacks.
On Jan. 21, a Paisley Park audience may get a glimpse of what was planned for that tour. The mention of a “gala event” is intriguing, as is the fact that this show is being announced with much more advance notice than the average Paisley Park event.
No matter how many people walk through the door of PP it will always be empty without Prince.

This is the one that almost broke me. After 3 yrs of being so strong. It finally hit me. He's Gone.
I will never forget Jan. 2016. This was preparation for the Gala. So sad that he's gone.
How do u feel about the estate denying fans the opportunity 2 leave momentos on the fence, and what do u think of them wanting 2 erect a large wall around the complex?
IAmComunek8tr I think that it is sad because fans were not allowed a proper memorial. There is no time limit on grief. At this point, PP will never be the same. I will no longer go there to hear Prince play his music. PP is being opened up for people to visit in October. I have no interest in going. I had the authentic experience. I will not give that estate any of my money. I have all the Prince material to last me a lifetime. As far as the wall, Prince didn't feel a need to put up a wall, why are they ( the people running his estate)? He loved his fans so much. The music he would say, I speak through my music. Rest In Paradise FRIEND.

I wish so much how when he was alive I could have been to PP to see him live. But, I am very fortunate that in October I get to see PP but how I only wish he was still slice 😔💜

I'm not sure WHAT or WHY they would remodel whatever are , and i'm sasd they closed off the elevator are but LEAVE EVERYTHING AS IS!!! Prince designed PP !!!! Don't embelish on what you think he MAY have wanted unless he had Specific Designs and Plans for a remodel. I'm NOT interested in ANYONE ELSE vision of PP is....LEAVE IT AS IT WAS - IS !!!!

tammi corner Prince said it would be turned into a museum one day. I guess to keep it going and bring the money in they kind of had to do this.
