      I thought exactly the same! "I have never even polished my car, why the f**k should I watch a sanding video?" now: "Looks like my wallet is going to hurt even more, now I want to learn how to sand my car too".
      After seeing that shine on that Bentley afterwards this is something I just have to learn.

    I've learnt a ton on CZcams. Everything from bettering my woodwork, welding even carbon and resin wrapping.
    I have to state that I am using LC pads, I'm here to learn how to use them better as there's so much noise out there.
    This has to be the best tutorial of ANY discipline I've watched. Kelly's knowledge, simplicity, practical demo and the lack of bs, lack of trying to sell me something or telling me X product is the holy grail, is just class.
    He's the Michael Jordan of detailing, he doesn't have to tell you how skilled he is.

    i currently own and drive a 1999 GLE and love it, i bought it from original owner, garage kept with service papers from his local Nissan dealer showing he went there for regular oil changes, etc. At 62, ive had quite a few cars and trucks and this might be my favorite to drive. The Icelandic Pearl (white) paint is a bit of a pain as it shows all the dirt, but this car looks great for its age and i continue keeping it in a garage today. With just 62K on the odometer i felt $3500 wasnt too bad a price for it. Today, after 3 years, ive got 82K miles. Oil changes are fast and simple and i try to get one done every 5000 miles. I was happy to read your article on CZcams and thought you really covered all the important points. You got my thumbs up and ive subscribed to see what else you put out. Good stuff! Thanks!

I'd love to have the skill to do wet sanding and other tricks of the trade but that's way out of my skill level at the moment. I've been polishing a few years now and have about 5 different types of polishers and I still consider myself a novice. I've definitely made some MISTAKES over the years and once I made it, I try not to ever do it again! But I am confident in my polishing skills now. Just did a two stage polish on my 370Z over the past few days and it is GLEEMING! I've had several people tell me "That's the best looking Z I have ever seen".

    Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. Most empowering video I've seen on the topic. Now I'm only mostly anxious about painting my motorcycle. But sincerely, fantastic lesson!

    Excellent video. I came across a similar problem where I have run a wool pad several times to remove sanding marks from the clear. This is more trouble some with a hard clear coat. In the case of sanding with P3000 and P5000, polishing work is just 1 or 2 step away to achieve excellent finish and gloss.

    Now, since you don't need the Bentley for the demo anymore, could you simply send it to me? 😉

    This is a very good explaination on how to tackle these kind of defects! I'm trying to train my gf into the job, so we can work together. This is by far the best video I can share with her, before we start with a real job :) Thanks for sharing this!

    This is the best video on paint correction I have come across! Easy to understand, all the details you need and nothing more. I’m just getting back in to detailing and if this is the attention to detail that this company has, I’m buying YOUR products 🤷🏼‍♂️. I was on the fence about the price of the HDO pads, but after watching this video you can tell this isn’t the kind of company that would just find some cheap foam and glue it to Velcro.
    How do you figure out what type of clear coat is on the car in order to be able to do a fill like you did in this video?

    • @LakeCountryManufacturing
      @LakeCountryManufacturing  Před 2 lety

      That's awesome feedback, thank you :)
      When you say 'to do a fill' I presume you mean as Kelly did in the silicone fish eye? In which case, it doesn't matter what the clear coat is. All he did was fill it with a suitable clear coat we have here, which just happened to be PPG Ceramiclear (which air dries better than standard lacquer).
