  • Bit of an urban one, but still plenty of nature. I was fascinated to see what was below the bridges I so regularly drive across... and the industry of the past gradually being consumed by nature in Blaydon Burn. Thanks for watching.

    8 mile city jaunt - good going there Chris. I thought the rivers looked a bit dirty but then again it might have been the time of year. A decent walk none the less. All the best. Mark

      The whole area is saturated and the river was at low tide. The Tyne was heavily polluted at one time but now there is enough fish etc to support wildfowl predators and licensed fishing.

      @@chrisk3488 Yeah, I could see low tide - that'll have something to do with appearances. Good to hear of the fish.
