Kibblesworth Common - A Monday Jaunt 16.07.24 (7.7 miles)
An easier walk in an area I've not explored, with the dog-friendly Monday Jaunt group. Stunning weather after the previous day's mist and rain.
Thanks for watching.

A rather wet and windswept wander with the group. Sometimes you have to brave the weather or you'd never get out. Thanks for watching.

Elsdon and the Forest of Doom (and Horse-flies) with iWalksNE (11.9 miles) Aaargh!
zhlédnutí 67Před dnem
Beautiful but challenging walk with a diversion forced by fallen trees. Attacked by a plague of Horse-flies and awkward tussocky-boggy ground in places... still, it's good to get out and push one's boundaries, eh?
Wolsingham and Tunstall Reservoir with iWalksNE (8.9miles)
zhlédnutí 57Před 14 dny
A midweek meander (actually it was a Sunday - Retirement eh?.. don't even know what day it is ..) with the gang. Slightly cooler than of late, but pleasant for walking. Please note: Parking at Demesne Mill Picnic area is now chargeable after 30 minutes. If you wish to stay over 3 hours it is £5 which covers you for 24 hours, although you may not stay in your vehicle or camp????
St. Johns Chapel, Weardale & Cowshill with iWalksNE - 8.2 miles A Weardale warmer!

It was not looking good as I drove across the moors to Stanhope, with thick fog, but dropping into Weardale it began to clear, giving us a lovely warm day for a beautiful walk. Thanks for watching.

Around Blanchland - another beautiful day out with iWalksNE (7 miles)
zhlédnutí 48Před 21 dnem
A lovely day, where the weather defied the forecast and it ws warm enough for me to walk in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. 7 miles was just right fo me,, although half the group took a longer loop and I was home before they had got back to Blanchland. It's an hours' drive home for me, so I think I'd have been on my knees if I'd done the extra 3 miles.... Thanks for watching.

A walk I'd done back in Sept' 23 in wind and rain. A glorious day for it this time and I feel my fitness has improved? Fantastic views from up on top and lovely walk all round, albeit a bitt of a lung-buster on the climb to Cook's Monument. Thanks for watching

Short video of a lovely scenic walk and Carry on Bivouac :) Be aware that ticks are currently rampant at this time - 26/05/24 and we had to keep removing them from the dogs Great day out though - mustn't complain about the heat. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. It was Swallowship Gorge - only about a mile from the nearest road if you don't want to do a big walk.

Nice to see the Alpacas Chris. It looked a very nice rural ramble - a bit of steep ground but all happy hikers. All the best. Mark

Nice walk Chris ill have doo that one. I've walked Harehope quarry many times. There are some interesting old mine buildings just down from that stone horse shoe the you showed on camera. Plus the watercourse runs underground during the drier months.
Thanks for watching 🍻
Awesome video Chris. that ia why I watch your videos. I am from the US and we don't have scenery like this

Hi do you know what the estate is like at kearson Close, all blocks of flats? Is it nice living here?
Sorry. I don't know where that is.
@@chrisk3488 it's in Seaton Delaval
@@starshine1843 Kearsley Close? 2 storey flats beside the park and shops, off Elsdon Avenue.
@chrisk3488 Yes they have some flats for sale and I wondered if its a nice area.
@@starshine1843 seems okay. I've heard of kids mucking about in the park but nothing bad as far as I know,

Hi Chris . I've been following your vids for a while . They're always great views and walks . TBH I prefer the ones where you're you're alone , more entertaining think. Do I take it you've moved from the North East to the North West ? Keep up the good work
Thanks. I'm just over in Keswick for the week. I'm self conscious of filming and talking to camera with the group but I shall try to do a bit more 👍
Cracking walk, yeah I remember that steep decent. You had great weather for it. 👍

You're another one who loves it when its moody Chris. I can't get enough of it me personally. A nice walk there - interesting yard with the landy and boats at the end. Mark
That was another lovely walk Chris. There are some big boulders around there - glacial for sure. I agree often better with the rain and mist. Good going. Mark
A good one that Chris. It looked nice and gentle up - these lesser hills do have great views though. It was awesome out there as was the gorge and stream down below. A great water feature. I really did watch end to end - enjoyed very much. All the best. Mark
