I was born in Stella and went to Blaydon west school, I used to walk past pumphreys roasting rooms smelling that lush Coffee every morning walking to school, had loads of fun when a was a kid there playing in Stella woods, it had a mint BMX track that went from the top near the loning al the way doon to the bottom of the hill, and in the winter you could sledge doon Summer hill, I spent most of my time playing there, happy days collecting conkers an that it was mint, then i moved to Hazel road and played doon the dene, and Blaydon burn on our motorbikes, what a great place to live so many happy memories.
