I actually think that bill was really the bad vampire. He hid stuff and done stuff to sookie behind her back. Eric was straight up about who he is at the get go.

Exactly. Eric was always honest and straightforward about who he was and what he wanted. Bill was the immoral one. And I think he loved Sookie more. He never betrayed her like Bill did.

I'm always surprises me when I hear their real accents and remember that they aren't southern Americans, I mean

Alex is Sweedish
Anna is a Canadian born New Zealander
Ryan is Austrailan
damn most of the leads in American TV (not just TB) aren't actually American.
American film doesn't invest in American actors...
It's because it's easier to turn British and Swedish accents into a country savanna accent because that's where those accents originated
Alexander is not Swedish,
he's a sweetdish.

I love the presentation of the Actors here. Anna and Stephen are closer, forward (on the couch) and more intimately positioned towards each other, especially with Stephen leg tucked under him and his arm behind Anna.
Alex sits back into the corner of the couch, farther away yet Anna with her Dark suit visually fits with him.

I've read all the books and events begin happening that will change your mind over and over again. Thats what makes it soo great! There are a few characters that I absolutely love for Sookie. Shes so damn cute and I think Anna Paquin was a perfect choice for her.

I love that the show isn't going exactly to the book series. It's nice to not predict everything the happens, and they've created a lot of awesome material. These three are doing great with their roles.

I love how most people love Stephen's accent, and me being English, can't see the fascination with it! None of them are American either and they all pull off an American accent, and before anyone says " Anna Paquin is American, she was born here". she classes herself as a kiwi and has a New Zealand accent! Can't wait till True Blood is back on this summer, I've been waiting ages!!!

Some folks have said that Stephen doesn't have a sense of humor, but I find him delightful! And Alexander too!
This interview is from 2009. I think there are a lot more fans of the books than 5% today in 2011. I read plenty of comments from fans on YT who mentioned that they bought and started reading the books after getting hooked on the show.

@goldiebee19 Anna is a Canadian-born New Zealand actress..so yes these three are not American but they do American accent really good in the movie..also actor who play Jason Stackhouse (sookie's brother) is is an Australian actor Ryan Kwanten.
The way Stephen and Alexander looking at each other after Stephen has said that Bill and Eric finally get together is so goood because its like Eric's face says: This was a oke, right? and Stephens like: Yeah, or? :D :D
