Thanks for the part about how to walk the belt on. I fought for 5 hours trying to figure it out. I did loosen the spring adjustment to its minimum to make it a little easier. Not easy for an 83 old man to roll around on the floor fighting with it. Next time I will know. For others information I used a 98 inch belt and it fit perfectly. Seemed short when I started, but once on it seemed to stretch out a little.

I really appreciate your how to video. It helped me replace a belt for the first time without having to take it to the shop. We just got the same mower you have. How do you like yours? We had to get a new one cause our old one broke down and was too expensive to repair all the time. So we went for what was rated one of the best mowers.

What does the primary and secondary belt operate ..for part number purposes
A deck belt is considered as the primary mower belt. A ground drive belt, on the other hand, considers a drive belt for all.
Secondary deck drive belts power the lawn mower blades. Used with primary deck drive belt (M95121) that pulls power from the engine. John Deere belts contain strong material to prevent stretching and roll over which provides smooth engagement and consistent power to the mower deck.😇

Why didn’t you show putting the belt back on?
Needed two hands could not hold phone camera and did not have a stand... I tried to explain my best I could and visually show what could with one hand ... follow the pattern on your deck plate remove what I say on the video to get it on 😇
Okay first you said 5/8 then you said 9/16 when you put the guard pin belt dohicky bolt back on! One or the other please 😅
