Probably not related but, anyone remembers Marty's childhood flashback scenes? He was at the hospital, his dad was dying, he sings the song "99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer, take one down, pass it around, 98 bottles of beer on the wall" and the lyrics go on to decreasing numbers. He sings it as he is walking around in the hospital room. In "Arrested Development" (an older show of Jason Bateman), his niece is riding the school bus and that song plays in background. (Season 4, Episode 7, timing 01:07 I think) EDIT: His niece and other kids on the bus, were bad at math subject and were on their way to attend a special tutoring class. Hence singing the song of numbers. lol.
Let it burn forever IKR! He scares me so much. He always looks mad and like he’s about to shoot someone while somehow still keeping it together and looking professional. Idk

R 69 M oh yeah just forget about how he randomly smashed a guys face in becuase of his rage over the kids phones? or when he went to a bar and beat the shit out of a random guy who did nothing to him?? i forgot the nice shit we’ll credit him for but the bad shit well blame it on him being bipolar right?
he did was very useful at the end, if he didn't take jonah and his drone to the exchange site of Ruth and the KCmob, Marty and Wendy will never had that footage of the Lagunas killing the Kc Mob dudes on america soil, that saved the Byrdes and ultimate killed Hellen, Ben acts wasn't for nothing, indirectly he do A LOT of good stuff for the family.
Even after this season, Marty and Ruth were tight. Marty wasn't playin' with ol' boy parked outside the trap house when Ruth had to take care of business. There's an innate trust between them, well was one ...but I still think they end up being okay for some wild reason
Season 1 was great, season 3 was incredible, but season 2 was a bit boring if you ask me. It had a lot of vital charactor building but still a slow burn
Does anyone noticed, the song here when Marty got kidnapped is also the same song in Wendy's dream when he killed Marty using the same way Ruth's father was killed.
Dude suggest a series that on a breaking bad level nothing excites me anymore cause i cant keep myself from comparing the new ones i watch to breaking bad and its sad
This scene just shows how badass the cartel is. Not in a glorified way, just the reality. That quick pullover with an absolute mountain of a man leaping out with that hand gun? Damn, that’s just straight up scary.
@@tteros5998 it's not the guy himself that's scary, it's the fact they slowly choke you out of options and if u retaliate at any point they will hit back much much harder
This is pretty scary. But, nothing ever topped Del. He was quiet, methodical and terrifying.... played by the legendary Esai Morales. Del killed WAY too early in this series....
The whole setup to this episode was classic. The band's stage manager basically asking REO Speedwagon if they want to get involved with money laundering..lol
Jason Bateman is just incredible in this series. He brings the calmness and calcualted rationality to Linney's hot headed dramatic fly off the handle nature.
Felt so bad for Marty. Even though he got himself in this mess, it’s sad to see this scene where everyone is just so happy and he isn’t. Then to top it off, he gets kidnapped.
The music and this scene will always be one of my favorite. Seeing Marty walk up to her and basically discuss his freedom as his only ticket out of this alive at this point and then when he began to resist getting in the car believing he is now going to be killed are truly saddening. Wendy really ain’t shit for everything she was doing.
He was one of the best or most likable characters rather. But by best I mean his acting was something else, really amazing! Sad to see him go but he had a good send off. Maximum effect.
I still don't understand how Maya dind't see Marty being kidnapped, maybe she saw it but dind't do anything, later she knows Marty was in Mexico, cause she saw it all, but it's just a little convenient.
I think only Marty's brother in law, who was standing on the stage, saw Marty getting kidnapped, due to standing on a higher ground and being able to see Marty from afar. But IF the FBI lady had seen him, then she probably didn't reach out to help due to how Marty so far hasn't openly admitted or asked for her help. 1. Like that time when Marty/Wendy tried to give intel to her, regarding some other criminal activity? But she refused to get it, cuz she felt that Marty was trying to compromise her via helping her out with other cases (which Marty indeed was). 2. Also, at the scene where Ruth gets beat up to near death, Marty tells her how she herself might've kicked Ruth to near death, hence implying, that FBI lady (or her FBI partner) framed Ruth in front of the rich dumb guy, made that guy believe Ruth is responsible for his friends' death. Seems like it's just one mean FBI lady who sets her sights on catching one criminal and won't easily feel sympathy for anyone else whom she has to step on, to achieve her ultimate goal. It's just a bit hard to conclude her as being that evil, since she isn't always "vocal" unlike agent Petty was (which makes it easier for us to conclude him as lowkey evil). She is more of the calm on outside, evil inside type.
The bald mexican is so cool he spared Ruth and Ben .. but he should have killed ben i think both since Ruth tried to marty and now joins Darlene against Marty
I just finished watching this series and I’ve come to the conclusion that all everything that happened could’ve been avoided if Marty just let Del take care of their Wendy problem in EP.1
How many fucking times is Marty gonna have to get kidnapped, before he hires himself a security detail of 6’4” , 300 pound guys? It really makes this kidnapping scene very frustrating and very unrealistic.
I think the reason why he won't get private security, is same as why he can't leave the country with his family (with fake identities for all of them). The cartel wants to have a word? he only can nod and walk along, not refuse them. Private security or bodyguard is useless if the cartel worker puts a gun to his wife/kids' head and tells him a 2nd time, to "get in the van". Hence he might as well nod "yes" when they say it for the first time. The cartel that he works for, doesn't give him enough human rights for him to even call this event as a "kidnapping". It is merely, "a trip down to Mexico". (Besame Mucho plays in bg)
@@WoozyCool yeah, I see your point, but I’d still like my bodyguards to kill the cartel guys, then grab the family and beat feet. But that’s not a great option either. Losing proposition all the way around I guess.
