    That is exactly how I felt when I rode mine first time. Its a magical machine. The best 2 wheeler I have owned in 35 years on 2 wheels. Honda spoiled me to the core. First things I installed: F4 windscreen, backrest by Utopia and HWY pegs.

    You can buy the foot shifter system for it if you like that. Like an auto blipper system for a sports bike (as you don’t have a clutch lever). - just set it into manual mode

      What you do feel the wind. There's no lying about that. I've been on every single bike. You can imagine trying it out or owning a few bikes that are big like this. You still feel the wind if they're cross winds. You're gonna feel it if you want to get in a car. That's when you don't feel the wind whatsoever. There's no argument to it

    I've written a lot of different motorcycles. The gold wing is great. But you're still not escaping the wind if it's a bad cross when you're feeling it. I don't care what bike you're on unless you're in a vehicle. That's the only time you're not gonna actually feel any wind whatsoever

    2nd May 2024. UK 2019 (2020 reg) Goldwing DCT Tour with Full Honda Service History and 5000 miles (8000 kms) on the clock, CONFIRMED fuel pump failure. The excellent Honda Tech, Ian at CJ Balls of Norwich, UK diagnosed and fixed the fault. All professionally handled by Lewis on the “desk”. I have been told the fuel pump is NOT included in any current fuel pump recall in the UK due to the bike being a 2019 model. The Goldwing fuel pump recall in the UK at the moment is for 2020-2024 Goldwings only. The pump failure was confirmed with a Goldwing fuel pressure tester, of which there are only a few (maybe only one?) in the UK. The pump price is £800 ($1000 USD) and involves 1 hour of labour to replace, plus any extra time to diagnose the fault. Once dealers learn to recognise the fault, then the amount of time to diagnose the fault should come down. However, regardless of the time to diagnose the fault, this repair is very likely to cost at least £1000 ($1250 USD) in the UK on 2018-2019 Goldwings, unless Honda UK bring out a recall for 2018-2019 bikes, as they have for the USA. Luckily, my Goldwing is covered under a Honda extended warranty, so this repair was of no cost to me. However, this might be something very worth while thinking about for anyone thinking of buying a 2nd hand 2018-2019 manufactured year Goldwing. That’s the end of my fuel pump failure updates and I hope this helps someone else in the future. Ride safe.

    I love riding my 2021 Goldwing DCT Tour. I did upgrade the OEM windshield to the F4 Customs 24-inch clear and it really does a great job of calming the wind on my long road trips (I'm 6'2"). I recommend the 20-inch windshield if you are under 6 foot 2 inches.

    You have to lower the volume when the navigation voice is actually talking. Looks like you're not too bothered about breaking the engine in assuming the bike is brand new.

      @tta850  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Great tip on the navigation voice, gonna try it 👍🏻
      As for break in it started the day with 8 miles, so I feel once the engine is up to temperature (most importantly the oil) not only can you drive it hard but you should. I always catch flak about doing it this way but all of my stuff is ridden hard from new and also gets lots of oil changes, never had issues myself.

      @@tta850 I've read quite a bit about engine/transmission break-in and it's all over the map. I'm 67 now and my Dad was a Rolls-Royce apprentice, so I'm still doing it the old way. No engine lugging, gentle acceleration and move to higher revs as the miles build for the first 1000 miles. Yes, I know I'm a geezer. PS: I have the exact same bike you were riding and I changed the engine & transmission oils and filters at 800 miles with AMSOIL and will do the same annually.

    • @tta850
      @tta850  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Engine braking is weird, because I am so used to clutching down to a lower gear. In sport it’s not so bad, but otherwise relying on the brakes is more important. IDK how else to explain it… plenty of engine braking available just differently than you’d expect due to the DCT.
