Clicked on this video expecting the usual quick devlog which shows the profit at the end. Instead, I found a really relatable video about the struggle of making a game after coming from work and trying to combine it all with a decent social life. Good stuff! Keep going and I hope you're doing better, don't be so hard on yourself because that can really put you in a dark place, speaking from experience.
thanksss bro 😄
The important distinction on the total gain being not only limited by the end product's profit, but the skills and various thing one posseses throughout the making of the end product is such a wise thing to point out. Inspiring for gamedevs.
thank youu 🙌
I love the way you edited the video. Continuou the good work.
thanks matee
I personally found it way too over-stimuzlating. :/
Releasing a game must be one of the hardest things in the world. Congrats on that achievement. Thanks for the motivational video.
thanks mate 🙏🙏
For all who dont spenden 12 Minute of your life to see the journey this guy was make... He earned about 500 $
:D
Watching videos like this makes me realize how lazy I am and how much more time I could be putting into actually doing something. I mean, I have more free than many people who, although bearly have it, still strive to at least work an hour a day on something they're passionate about. Good video, man.
Can't wait to see your next game!
Thank you for sharing your story. Can’t wait to see what success the next game brings you.
thankss matee
A game like this is more appropriate for the mobile audience. Players on steam come to expect a certain level of quality and your game still looked very much like a prototype game.
Trying releasing again but on iOS and Android.
Very inspiring that you put out a game on limited time and programming know how. I look forward to seeing your growth!
Thank you mate
Awesome video bro. I just randomly saw this video and buy you game. Nice job!
thank you mate
So not only you made game with achievements and other functionalities, you also learned how to make good video edits. Congratulations man !
Thanks Mate
Absolutely insane you didnt link your game. I'll never understand why my fellow devs do this. Very few people will take the time to manually look for it. Yeah it takes 2 seconds, but those 2 seconds need to be respected, no? Time is the most valuable thing a human has.
That was one heck of a dev story
It's great that you're sharing this info but you have to make an effort not to speak like an AI. Theres too much of that. Show some emotion please.
Thanks mate. I actually use my ai voice clone on voiceovers. But i'll be working on more emotional speaking in further videos :D
@@NashEquilibriumDEV looking forward to hearing it!
It is an AI, not his voice.
@chazlewis8114 stop soyjacking. He does whatever he wants. AI voice is much better than india accent
subed also good man
thanks mate
Bought the game - absolutely love it!
heyy mate just saw the feedback form you sent 😃. Thnks for your support ❤️
Hey thank your for the content ! One thing, I really struggle with the zoom in / zoom out on every image, every few seconds. That combined with the slight movement of the image, I feel like I'm on a boat and I can't stand watching the whole video. Maybe you can vary a bit the montage, make it more dynamic, less predictable ? Have a great game dev journey
thank you mate. will keep that in mind 🙏
500th sub
It used to be, in the business world, location, location, location. That philosophy still applies, however, in an online scenario, i would only guess it's promotion, promotion, promotion. Whatever and however you can get the word out, links, word of mouth, use all the platforms you can, and blast your game out. T-shirts, mugs, pens ..anything you can put a link on, or logo of your game...or a website for it...whatever you can do. Since you already made the game, just a matter of letting the world know now.
U got a sub brush
I really loved this video! Only thing I didn't like was the voiceover 😭 it was tiring to listen to.
I'm glad you learned a lot through your indie game dev experience and you're willing to share it with the world. This gave me a lot of insight on releasing a game. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for your comment mate. A lot of people say that I'll work on doin it better next time .:D
Epik!
Thanks dude :D good to see you around
@@NashEquilibriumDEV No problem Nash!
If my first Steam game earns $100, I WILL BE extremely happy. GZ!
is the voice over ai generated? it sounds super robotic
sorry but i think, that ai actually would sound better
How many wishlists did you have on launche
it was around 178
your game sold 254 copies! damn cool man, whats the wishlist count that you had? Im still on the process of making my game, if you share the wishlist count it will help me analyze and learn from them
Thanks man. Wishlist count was 178 when launched.
inspiring 😂
thanks mate 😃
Dude, if you haven't shown a video of your game in 11 minutes, why do I have to go to the Steam to buy it?
Actually, this videos goal isn't boost the sales :D Just a quick recap on the story. If you want to try it, I will be happy to send you a free key :D
@@NashEquilibriumDEV friend, I am not out of evil, I subscribe to you and sincerely support you. I'm talking about the fact that when talking about your game, you should show it
no worries mate
Im sorry but the editing is making me motion sick lmfao. Im sure the vid is great but i gotta dip
I wouldn't give up on financial success so easily. That "failed indie game state" sounds like a lack of promotion to me. What kind of marketing did you do? Have you tried getting content creators to play your game for example? Anyway, have a like for your inspirational content and keep up the good work!
thanks for your comment mate
@@NashEquilibriumDEVI get it. I'm thinking in the same line. What I'm saying is, you can still promote it. There are plenty of games that went unnoticed on launch but peaked later due to being discovered by content creators. Not saying that it is the next Vampire Survivors, but it can certainly do better than what it is. Plus it would be a good opportunity to learn marketing skills.
just work with a publisher
Can someone tell me the name of the game? The promotion is awful, not even a link to the steam page anywhere in the video description
store.steampowered.com/app/1953370/Bowerwhelm/
Shut Up!!!
