    Bought a cheap compression tester off Amazon and it doesn’t have that valve. I got a reading of about 80 PSI. Just got my Banshee a month ago and it fires right up every time and runs great. Definitely going to get a new tester lol. Thanks for the help

    Nice video! I'm on your facebook page you have some good info. What's a good psi for stock motor stock head at about 800ft elevation? Also, what's the exceptable psi difference between each cylinders before you need a top end?? Thanks.

    So when if u do the test and gauge goes down after it reaches highest point

    • @kevingalindo1
      @kevingalindo1  Před rokem

      Gauge shouldn’t go down, if it does it’s a bad schrader valve in the gauge. Look where you screw it in to the head, up inside is a little tire valve basically. It’s leaking and need to be tightened or replaced.

      Angie Trujillo
      Hello, I would do a compression test on it to check the health of the cylinders then throw in a new set of plugs if it checks out good and see what happens. could be an electrical issue you might have to Chase down.

    • @kevingalindo1
      @kevingalindo1  Před 7 lety +1

      Trevor Garcia
      18cc makes 197psi---race gas
      21 makes 155 sonit can be run on pump gas. If you have aggressive port work it will alter starting compression by the way.

      @TECH-NOTICXs Před 7 lety

      okay thanks thats nice to know ive been using pump gas am i doing harm to the engine?
      i can switch to race once my tank is empty .
      and i have no port job at the moment.

    • @kevingalindo1
      @kevingalindo1  Před 7 lety +1

      Trevor Garcia
      Compression test it and see what your actually have. I've seen engines with 18cc domes making only 120psi. As rings wear and compression gets low they just change domes to compensate. If you are over 170 psi you need race gas.

      Same part number? They have another there for 45 but it had long adapter tubes to reach in on engines like tritons. Here is the link to this tester.
