- After a 5 hour drive we arrived in Wales for the next phase of our training...quarry driving ! I totally different environment to the dunes and one that would challenge the little Dacia Dusters and us to do things I didn't think were possible !
A huge thank you to Future Terrain and Renault Dacia for inviting me to spend a week with such an amazing group of people. Also, thanks to Zipworld for giving us some fun at the end of such an amazing week.

Mr Petrol Ped, never really thought a great deal of the Dacia Duster but big surprise, what a capable little 4 wheel drive car, respect. Regards, RichardA.
I do understand you have been very busy of late Pete👌👌👌👌👌 but I do miss the dog walks / one to one chats you used to do during lockdown 👌👌👌👌👌 I do believe it is high time you spent a little time with the lovely lady in your life and your two nutty doggies. Total reg`s Steve.
I’ll get a walk sorted soon. I have a good idea for a subject 👍
Going up that hill...you just needed a Jimny!
Yet another great video Pete, those Dusters are quite tough little cars.
They are amazing 👍
There are 3 types of car that can go pretty much anywhere off-road:
1) a good 4wd
2) a hire car
3) a company car
:)
LOL 😂

Another awesome video Peter. Some epic driving skills on show and yet again great to see everyone enjoying a good bit of craic. Just brilliant 😉👌🏻
Great video and car, well done Pete! Land Rover should sit up and take note and bring back an entry level 4x4 like the old freelander as there is still a big demand for them. The Dacia Duster has filled that gap at a fraction of the price.
All the good times! That was a blast from my armchair must have been amazing to experience all that with a great bunch of blokes.
Thanks Future Terrain, thanks Pete.
Glad you enjoyed it Tim 👍
Good fun video to watch👍❤🙂.
thank you so much petrol ped
Pleasure 👍
Brave man, goosebumps just watching the swing and drop. What an experience though, excellent stuff.
Well done Pete, looks like great fun, followed by a few beers, great.
Indeed 🍺👍
Another great vid with a great team !!👍🏻🍻🇨🇦
Another quality video, well done.
Thanks David 👍
Good stuff there mate
Superb videos, can’t wait to see the zip wire one. The dusters are pretty amazing.
They are such good little cars 👍
Evening Pete, it's like the famous 5 go wild in Wales 🤣. Great video and tons of fun, take care mate 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏁
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
You have learnt a lot about getting uncomfortable but in a safeish way. definitely a fun if a tad wet but we can all see the value of the work this charity is doing and hopefully will keep doing into the future, looking forward to the next episode.
Cheers John 👍
Cool !!
Excellent stuff 👍
Cheers Mark 👍
Another learning curve then and a few Dusters sold. Your next challenge...the Exeter Trial when it next runs and in a 1947-59 Ford Anglia/Popular...the “sit up and beg” version. I grew up with them everyday and with 1131cc, side valves, a three speed gearbox and elliptic springs , one transverse, they are also unstoppable...snow and mud are no challenge which makes you wonder why we need massive technology to do the same thing today? Not sure on the “Fun Rides” but I look forward to the zip wire experience...have you got plenty of spare pants...or some Tennalady in your suitcase?😱😱😱🤢🤢🤢😳😳😃😃😃😃😃
Love it 👍
Love playing around in the trees like that, not done a 100ft drop, but 40-50 feet yes, plus a 35 foot free jump onto a HUUUGE airbag...gets the blood pumping!
What an amazing experience!
It sure was 👍
My Delica would have loved this quarry :-))...
But I wouldn't have been sure about the 106ft vertical drop!! :-((...
It would indeed 👍
You get to do some great 👍 challenge’s and this was one of the best
I am very lucky 🙏🏻
It looks like you've gone a shade greyer since taking the "plunge" ! ...
Oh yes 😂
Boys days out! Just can't beat them!
Oh yes 👍
Evening pal, looks a cool way to spend some hrs indeed.
Oh yes 👍
Well done on that last drop. That didn't look pleasant at all.Looks like you all had a great time though.Great vid again.Hang on right on the zip wire.
Not my favourite experience of all time 😂
“I’m in Wales, as you can probably tell by the horrible weather”
So long Welsh subs 😂.... even if it IS true
Oops...you may have a point 😂
And no mention about the sheep either!! :-))...
I loved it 👍
13:58 ... is what a good driver can do! ;)
Hi Ped
Thanks for the ride, great fun, but you could count me out on that last drop😬
It wasn’t pleasant 😂
Great stuff Peter loved all of it well done. Looking forward to the zip line. Just a thought do actually tell Mrs PP what you do every time you go filming ? 🤔 haha. Cheers DFDU 😎
Sometimes I am economical with the truth 😂
I'm about 80 mile from Zip World but never been! Driven back from Porthmadog through Ffestiniog a couple of times and it has always been bleak weather. Looks like a lot of fun though.
Well worth a visit 👍
Best little budget cars you buy
Duster are fun Victor's to underated 1461cc Diesel in these ones 115bhp 260Newton meters 192 lbt/ft sorry about technical barble woffle I like them for what they are Zip wire world is on my bucket list I want to do it all🤯🚧💥 if dear santa can help 🤣 cheers enjoyed this
👍
hi may I ask if the dusters had any mods done to them besides the roll cage, or they were stock besides that? thanks
They had upgraded shocks and dampers and underbody protection. The two rally cars had a full cage, race seats and harnesses. The other two had roof rack etc. all 4 had winches 👍
Used to live in that area, yomping in those very hills and mountains 🏔 Snd you’re right about the weather 😌
Medieval torture 😂
What would you rate the dusters for mpg / comfort
MPG is really good as they a so light. We sat in them for a long time. Our longest journey was over 5 hours and I didn’t get a numb bum 👌😂
That trap door, hmmmm lol.
Horrible 😂
God I have laughed at you lot!!!
I'd love to do that but I think my GP would string me up if I did 🙀
Yes, the Dusters are pretty darn good. Last time I was on slate I had my 90 LR with low range...much easier!
Hmm interesting, but I travelled from Ambleside to Eskdale recently in a JDM 2005 Subaru Legacy GT estate with JDM STI underpinnings, via Wrynose and Hard Knott passes. Your stuff look easy by comparison. 😂😂😂😂 Great content though.
Cycled both of those roads...stunning 👍
Best conditions to enjoy the Wrynose and Hardknott passes is pouring rain. Waterfalls are great, there even is more sense of drama, less traffic, and fewer cyclists. But do mind the savage potholes that are there, as of Oct 2020. Love those roads, I cannot go to Lake District without at least one drive over them - in both directions ideally.
Love cycling too - but only when I am on own bike, as a cyclist lol.
Watching from Cheddar
🙋♂️
Hi Pete , why didn’t you take the Dusters mud plugging. Cheers Phil
We had a pretty busy week. Just didn’t have the time 😢
Hi Pete 👌👌👌
Hi 🙋♂️
Hi Peddlerz, how you doing Peter.
Pete....absolutely fantastic video...and the other guys were great!!!. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Very entertaining 👍 they sound like the petrol Duster, 1.5L aren't they?
1461cc 115bhp dci = Diesel entertainment value for the money and a set budget built to is victor in my book
Yep 👍
important technical details need to be stated in order to understand the video and provide real value to the viewers. listed below are some of the major ones..
the performance of the vehicle can be far more accurately judged and understood when these details are stated.
1. tyre pressure (this is perhaps the most important point and should also include when the pressure was released and also state if the pressure was further reduced.
2. what tyres are used
3. how many passengers in the vehicle.
4. tyre size (state whether tyres are standard size or changed to a new size )
5. An estimate of the weight of all the luggage.
6. Standard suspension or raised suspension (specify the height of the lift )
Great vid. Do you know what tyres were on the Duster.
The team are sponsored by Cooper Tyres 👍
@@PetrolPed Thanks Ped
Evening all!!
Hello 👋
Hi mate 👋
Morning!
Hi mate 👋
Them little suvs are definitely leaving a impression. The driving back up the step rocky hill was impressive. Thank you for this series so far! So Sir Pete are you gonna buy a 4x4 off-roader now?
Would love a full on off-roader 👍
Evening all 👋
Hello!
Hi 👋
I am telling you and all that I have subscribed to that approximately 3 weeks ago I ceased receiving email notifications of your CZcams postings.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take a look into this 👍
Hi everyone 👍🏼
Hi 🙋♂️
Hi Pete 😁😁😁
Hi mate 👋
Masks on at the end , not sure why you weren’t wearing them for the whole trip
Looked like great fun
We wore them when we were required to wear them 👍
Was this shot before COVID-19? If not I confess to not be impressed. If yes, looks like brilliant fun.
The expedition was held under strict Covid guidelines. We would not have been allowed to undertake it if this was not the case. Members of the team lived in pods, masks were worn when required (as you can see in the video) and social distancing adhered to as much as possible.
Petrol Ped Good to hear. It did look great fun. Thanks for taking the time to reply. H
Turn the bloody hazards off, the ticky drives a viewer mad.
As we were driving in an active quarry we were required to have hazard lights working at all times. Annoying I know 😢
Looked fun until you got out of the cars.
😂😂😂
