    I bought a Omega Turbo Charger that spits out the moisture every minute or 20 mins what ever u set it for. Does the line to the tank or rifle still need a filter. Sounds like the unit is catching it for ya.

    Can this filters be used to fill a scuba tank also? Basically is air good for breathing?

    Hey Joe. I have your Alpha filter and wonder, after I've filled my Hammerhead SCBA tank, what do I bled first. I assume I need to bleed the Alpha filter BEFORE I bled off the HPA 4500 compressor. Right?

    • @AirGunScientist
      @AirGunScientist  Před 3 lety

      Bleed the filter first, so you get all the moisture out.

    Hey Joe, long time machinist here, (and a small shop porting small 2-stroke gas engines for a living in Michigan. I build some the the best in the world). For the larger filter housings, I think you can buy seamless tube aluminum to the ID that you need, (and may just machine the OD if you want for a nice finish). Just out of curiosity, why did you choose solid stock instead? (not sure of what kind of finish you need in the ID)
    I have a small CNC mill. If you guys ever need some small parts made, I would love to give you a quote. And if you don't have a "Tormach" CNC machine, you have to check them out. Great little machines for a small gun shop. My 1.5hp 220 single phase mill only cost $12,000, 11 years ago, and I have about 1 million dollars worth of work put through it so far.
    Great little business you guys have there. Enjoy the excitement of capitalism while we still can. :)

    Is a moisture filter necessary on the output of a scuba tank that was filled at a diving shop?

    • @AirGunScientist
      @AirGunScientist  Před 6 lety +2

      It shouldn't be necessary to filter breathing air from a SCUBA shop. That air is held to a standard (People's lives depend on the regulator not freezing up from moisture). With that said, I have customer tell me that they had moisture in their tanks from dive shops. Personally, if going to a quality dive shop, I wouldn't worry about it. Ask the shop owner how often the change their moisture filters. Also, keep an eye out for signs of moisture in your tank either when being filled, or when filling your PCP.
      Safe Shooting!

    Hey guys. I called you about four or five months ago about getting one of your alpha filters. Apparently you were missing a part to assemble them. I had left you my contact information when you were getting them back in stock. It’s starting to get into spring now and I like to start shooting. I wanted to see if you guys had the parts to make the L for filters or not. Please let me know in the comments and I will give you a call. Thanks.

    Hydrophilic, not hydroscopic. Otherwise great information. I know people who use nitrogen instead of air. Is there an advantage or disadvantage?

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA Před 5 lety +3

      "Hygroscopic", the ability to pull moisture from the air (as ethanol alcohol is also, which is a big reason not told, why it is junk for your daily car), not hydroscopic. JB had it right.

    Why not rent a tank from a liquid gas type filling station and use nitrogen or bottled air from them?

    You should zoom in on the stuff as it is too far away....
    Is it ego and has to show all of you all the time??

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA Před 5 lety +1

      The 1st definition of "Ego" in the Microsoft word pad dictionary, is "Self Esteem", which is something man should achieve. There is no shortage of marxist's educators out there though, who do not want individuals to have self esteem.
      I think we should sue them,---collectively.
