As always, to the point and crisp information, coupled with your amazing voice, Sameer!
I have a small apprehension if my profile is suited for the mid-ranked B schools in the UK (Aston and Loughborough, for instance).
Almost all schools in the country (including these two) require a MINIMUM of 3 years professional experience. By the time I'll apply for the schools, I'll just be hitting the bare requirement of work-ex.
Do you think applying to these schools with less than the average class profile's work experience (which is 4-5 years) would slim my chances of getting an admit?
My undergrad score lies just below 75%, and I hold a few Actuarial exam credentials.
I am really adamant about switching my career ASAP as I feel a dead-end in my job. Hence, the thought of an MBA.
Any suggestions from your side are welcome! :)
    Thanks in advance.

Sure, you could apply to such programs, and given the low competition they might accept you too. And that's precisely where the problem lies. The real respect for any program (MBA or otherwise) comes from how selective it is - more so for career changers. In your impatience, don't end up spending a fortune on getting a degree that won't give you the mileage you expect.

You just pick your passport after approval. But the fees are ridiculously high. And most need 2-3 years of work experience. And limited number of scholarships.

@@MBACrystalBallThankyou. Hi Sameer (hoping its you on the other side of the screen), I've recenly been also accepted at Univ College Dublin's Smufit Business School, Ireland's Top BSchool which ranks 89 overall on FT, 10th for value for money and 40th for international mobility (I know rankings are subjective and I should focus on FIT, I did read Beyond the MBA hype which a great read). I'm excited at the practical nature of the curicullum along with an intimacy in class because of just 40 students. Since employability and international mobility matter to me, I think UCD Smurfit is a great school given the fact that it's best in the country and is located in the capital city of Dublin. I'm also awaiting a decision from Alliance Manchester but I don't think they'd respond before the 3 week decision window by UCD. I feel it would be better to pick Ireland because UK might (might not) change heir mind on PSW! Since you asked about my GMAT Score, I scored in the low 600s but managed to get interview calls given the offbeat background - Merchant Navy (International Experience and BITS Pilani tag I guess). Looking forward to hear about what you feel about the scenario and what is the best option. Thanks a lot!
