I work with mobility equipment as a hobby here in the US and have found it very useful to apply some grease on the axle/key area before putting the wheels back on. Some scooters actually "click" when riding but the grease quiets them down.

Purchased a used Pride GoGo scooter, seems to be in decent used condition. Scooter runs as supposed to when lever in Drive position. I do notice that when the lever is in Drive, you can manually push it as when you have it in the Neutral position. The brake does not engage when in Drive and stationary, or when the scooter is off and in Drive. Is there an adjustment possible? Note: I also noticed that I unable to take the wheel nut off on the rear back side - it spins.

Ok water is not very good. So keep it in a warm room for a couple of days. Disconnect the batteries. Then try to see if it will work. It may dry out. Water will short some connections. So take off the seat and the rear plastic shroud so heat can dry out any dampness. Hope this helps

Hey love the videos, very helpful! I however am still having issues with my Rascal 600F. I connect everything to the battery as it should and the lights all light up, even with the key off. I the go to put the key on and receive the 5 flashing lights on the scooter. I looked up im my manual and it says a break issue. So I replaced the electric break but still same issue. I have good brand new batteries in this mamma jamma. Just went to try it out today and noticed then I connected the battery that the tiller was unplugged, so I plugged that in with the key off and noticed right away all the lights came on front and rear. I then turned the key and received the 5 flashes. After replacing the brake I am not sure what else to check all connections are good and i have continuity to through all wires from one side to another. I am thinking its a controller issue but those are pretty expensive.. Any other ideas what i can check?

Hello there.. i have a problem with a freerider kensington.. I have racked my head to bits trying to source the fault.. I have watched several of your posts on youtube which have been very helpfull.. Unfortunatly for me there were none that cured my problem..As with most things it used to be perfect.. Anyway what started happening was after a distance which could be anything from a few miles or so it would suddenly without warning start to slow down...the battery level would also drop to virtually zero and the green led on the dash would be barely lit... when the scooter was turned off and left for a few minutes it would be off on its way again with no faults.. then the same again could happen at any time..this fault has been getting worse and now its luck if it can run for more than a few minutes... When i took the plastic back off and checked the electric brake was red hot...I unbolted the brake from the motor but left the wires connected... I tried the scooter again and it ran fine but eventually it slowed and stopped again.. The brake had cooled down by now.. i stripped the brake and cleaned it and re-asembled it.. when i refitted it it was worse !! (My fault) as i'd overtightened the small allen head bolts... i sorted them and the brake now works sound and stops and releases as it should without overheating etc..But the scooter does the same... I have totally removed the motor and ran it in the bench with 24v... it run perfect for over 25mins no problem or hesitation...i inspected the brushes and copper contacts on the motor armature and they are great...The speed controler on the dash works fine.. the wig-wag works fine..Oh yeah forgot to mention.. after i sorted the brake out when the scooter faulters and slows to a stop the battery level does not drop anymore so i presume the brake was causing the heavy current draw... the batteries are brand new lucas ones and fully charged and tested..i tried some other fully charged batteries just in case but the scooter does the same... Tested the charger and thats also working correct...i cannot find any lose connections anywhere and ive pulled and re-connected them...If you can help me in any way or give me some pointers i would be more than gratefull so i can get my mother back on it.. thanks... Dean...

AVIT LARGE ok dean sorry for the late reply. Well you have check just about everything. Sometimes the circuit breaker can be faulty internal damage due to water. But that said it should not cause the motor to overheat. Try and remove the brake but still have it connected lift the wheels of the ground and run it. Check will a current tested what draw you have at the motors and the battery. With a temperature sensor check the temps of the motor and the brake and the circuit breaker. Again move all wires as the scooter is driving ps. Have the voltmeter connected to the battery so you see if there is any drastic voltage drops while it’s driving and you moving and checking all the wires. Check to see if the motor in contaminated with the oil from the axle. Hope this helps

AVIT LARGE have you actually replaced anything new. Like throttle pot. Could be a an issue there. Now that the motor and brake are not overheating. Cheaper than changing the rhino controller.
