Great video, very helpful. I have a Quantum Q6 Edge powerchair. Left motor will no go into freewheel. I have continuity in brake micro switch when micro switch when the little button is both out and pressed in. When pressed in the joystick says motor is disengaged but it won't freewheel. Is this a faulty micro switch or brake?
I have a question about swapping out a brake controller equipped with free wheeling handle. Is it possible to swap the handle?

How do I test the micro switch brake and motor when the wire connection has multiple male and female connector plug all in one harness
My electric brake is just not clicking over when it has 24v. It's just a basic one (rascal) no handle or microswitch. Resistance looks OK 48ohm ,current 0.5A. I've had it apart and nothing is seized in it. All I can think of is that there isn't a mag field being produced or if there is, it isn't strong enough to pull in the plate against the spring. I just might be missing something simple or more obvious to you. Hope you can help. Great channel by the way. Keep it up. Thanks.
Hi if it does not release the disc when 24 voltage has been applied then it’s goosed. We should be able to help you if you need a new one.

I like your video and I have a technical question. My power chair makes the usual clicks noise whenever I use the directional controller. I wanted to remove the magnetic brake from the drive as I’ve been told it’s essentially only a parking brake. I only use this chair in my house which is level. Can I do this to make it noiseless and make my wife happy or is there something I’m missing.

Thank you for this video. I have been testing my nans scooter, and there is continuity across the terminals of the brake, but then I removed and tested the brake using a bench power supply and the brake was solid, didnt heart a solenoid click. Can they have a good continuity test and still have a failed solenoid?

Hi Great vids I have aTGA sportster and I can drive it for a short while then the brake comes on, not enough to stop driving unless battery is down but its got worse; it comes on sooner so found your excellent vid and have started taking it apart There's a good bit of white corrosion and I've taken the micro switch off. I'm reluctant to take off the lever which switches from drive to free wheel but it does need cleaning under and around it. Is it ok to do that? I've tried continuity on the 2 connectors on the switch and nothing so is that the switch broken or perhaps I'm not testing in the right place. I'm always nervous to take things apart before I know its ok. In your vid there are wires with connectors but my wires go into a box which is why I say not sure if Im testing in the right place Hope I've given you enough info Brake no: ACY001AI 2DX0X098001 H05020028

Hi, the videos are great and very informative. I am trying to sort out a Pride Gogo Elite Traveller that is giving 8 beeps when switched on, I think the electric brake overheated recently and since then we have been getting this error. Would there be anything else to check over than buy a new electric brake and fit it? The Pride manual just states this error means the motor is disconnected and to call a service engineer and I cannot see any troubleshooting guide for this fault.

Hello, Superman. Don’t know if you can help me or not. After watching your videos I replaced the batteries, ignition, the electric break, the control unit, and the motor. I got the scooter going, but when I took it out to try it the speed was much to slow, I had pedestrians passing me,🤔😊, any ideas what to do.?.
hi what's the make and model. check high and low switch if it has one, check speed pot is correct one. has the controller been programmed.?
Hi your video is so helpful, I have a Pride Go Go scooter, it beeps five times. I have taken off the brake and I does not have continuity. I have tested the micro switch by pushing in the white tip and it does not click. The scooter is about 5 fives old. Can you help me to zero in on this problem? Thank you

okay boss, scooter cover was blown off front of scooter. hence this funny light flash and reverse horn sound. with plenty of time on my hands how do I fix it? Is it just replace fuse, dry out affected area and that's it? Do you sell covers for the kymco xl, cheers mucker, love these video's
Billy Purse I would put the scooter in a warm room for a couple of days even if bad have a small heater to help drying out but not too hot. Thereafter test it as it should dry out. We do sell waterproof covers check out our site. Always try and buy the best you can afford, I have seen some cheap ones and they are very thin so no protecting and the seams are not sealed from the inside. You get what you pay for.
My Go Go ultra x 3 wheel gives 5 beeps. The neutral bar moves back an forth. Scooter still doesn't move battery's is charged an new as I replaced them. Scooter lights up. Please help what do I do?
Check the micro switch as well on the terminal block that connects the wires to the controller. The brake has an extra white terminal check that.

Shouldn’t really drive in manual you sure micro switch is ok ? Could be stuck on. Have you don’t s continuity test on it and checked the small switch. ?
Boss, so we now know the scooter has been left uncovered in some rain. There is a flashing left indicator with a beep sound. How do I fix it, or do you need to get it into your shop. kymco xl i think maybe xls 8 mph with 2 big batteries
Billy Purse hi looks like water has got in the switch. Take scooter to a warm room sir a couple of days may need to replace switch
Hi i have a invacare Auriga 3 wheel mobility scooter the problem i have is when i put the ignition on and wait a few seconds before i pull the leaver now for some reason the scooter will not move at all i can hear the click where the brake should be releasing but for some reason the scooter will move unless i jerk it in a forward motion and it releases the brake. So do i need a new magnetic brake or can the brake be fixed. I should also add that i don't know very much about mobility scooters other than watching your videos. Many thanks David.

As i said i dont know much about mobility scooters i just thought the problem i have was the brake binding on as it only happens when i get on it to pull off. david holley when brushes or the commutator get worn/dirty they can stick won’t move until you push it then it will work all you will need is a flat screw driver set of brushes and a glass Fibre pen to clean the community we sell the lot but check it first it’s a 5 min job out videos show how to check

It will have to be the correct size and spec.

Hi pal got the same scooter dash slightly different galaxy neo 6 it just stopped going up hill uncle told me.. Batteries OK, brake OK, motor OK, brushes OK, the fault light comes on stays on doesn't flash. Everything works but will not go back or forward,, any idea's, I'll try phone you later
Sammy Patterson check the circuit breaker check for water contamination also a couple of fuses under the rear panel
Can you tell me why a unit would have full power to the drive axle in reverse but not in forward? Going forward you need to push the lever very gently to get moving and then it will take full speed, otherwise it will kick out, you have to wait just a second or two, it resets then it will go, but also needs to be pushed up a small hill in forward.
Sounds like some work has been done before and refitted wrongly wires swapped what’s the make and model

@@tomjacques4 I don't know that. This unit was given to me by a family that no longer needed it. I know nothing of its history, sorry. I was wondering if there's some kind of overload protector that has become weak with age?

I always tell people to take pictures before dismantling. Mind you I’ve been doing it for over 30 years. So kinda know how it goes on. Mind you on new models I take a picture if I need to remove and wait until a spare arrives, just in case.
I acquired for free a mini stryder scooter for my wife and it all seemed good,i tried to recharge the batteries and i think i decided they were dead so got 2 more and fitted them and the scooter will not move,no noises or clicks when i turned on the ignition,the dash has a green light and it flashes 9 times and then there is a pause.what is wrong????? i need hellllllllpppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good videos,a quick question scooter works fine and slows down ok but the brake is not lock on, scooter keeps rolling.
Throttle is not centred correctly. once stopped try and gently move the throttle lever either side to see it the brake clicks on

@@tomjacques4 All works perfectly fine nothing wrong with the motor all looks very new just simply when you stop on a slope it won’t stop rolling either up or down but release the throttle it slows down and stops then starts to roll
@@alisongreen9023 if possible remove the brake and see if the nut that is attached to the motor is slack
I think I screwed up the scooter I spray WD-40 around the motor and micro switch off and use the car charger 12 V at 12 AMP to charge batteries but failed to unplug from battery to motherboard to isolate since onboard charger wasn’t working.
It worked after I changed the batteries but then I got this crazy idea. I was going to move up the moving parts with WD-40 and spray the vinyl protectant on the wires. You can hear the micro switch click in the motor click for a second and then it went into reverse when I have the forward pedal pressed, and I just stopped working .

This type of scooter has a Main wtheir Hwy Honest from the motherboard to the motor and micro switch multiple male, female, and one harness how do I test there’s like six male, sex, female, plug-in harness. Can anybody explain the process what happens first in the micro switch engage and then give power to the motor making the wheels turn in. What order does all of this happen? Please be very detailed in your response.

Ive dismantled my rascal liteway motor and gearbox to replace a bearing. this went
well until i knocked the assembly off the table while reassembling it and broke the brake micro switch I have a new one from your parts dept and put it all back together only now when i pull the forward
lever it goes backward fast and when i push the lever to go back it goes forward slowly.any suggestion where ive gone wrong? thanks
