    I think a better path is to ignore the military side and concentrate on civilian uses. Exos would be very helpful for firefighters who have to carry very heavy hoses up burning buildings. Make civilian models, mass produce them and the military will become interested.

    The exoskeleton is one of those pieces of technology that will forever remain "just over the horizon" 30 years from now and never get there.
    By the time they solve the hideous problems of getting a machine to interface with a human body, and doing so for less than millions of dollars apiece, it will be far more cost effective to just build the robot warrior from the ground up.

      Ain't this the truth. I just love the idea of exoskeletons and wish they could be practical, even for normal everyday use

      What need to happen is to mass produce each piece of the exosuit with 3d printing , that is the issue we need more 3d printing industrial machines to mass produce them .

    "Battlebuddys" seem a more worthwhile aim, a robot dog that can carry your excess gear and ammo..or run back and get more... They can also be fitted with a gun and scope or mobile mortar. This is what you'll see first.

    The real problem is the cost. To politicians soldier's lives aren't worth that kind of money. We've had the tech to make full ballistic protection for our soldiers in the US. We don't because the people holding the purse strings don't care. Besides, the big ticket items pay off more in their stock portfolio.

    7:34 min Aramid/Polyamid fire proof jumpsuit, nothin special here. I wear this shity warm closthes and overheat a lot when i get into an Ex-zone in my factory. :D
    Yo, "it can stop a direct hit from M2 .50 cal" haha bullshit There are no clothes which have such a material that could hold against such a huge amount of kinetic energy.

    Tarvel light and use AP ammo. If power armor can't stop AP ammo then there's no point. Soldiers would just use AP ammo more if power armor is on the battlefield more.

    i do see Exo skeletons being used in military's applications in the future but a full suit of power armor i doubt without some major technological advancements.

    The Exo suit need torso (chest & back) , shoulder , thigh and shin bulletproof plates .

      Most of the footage we had to use was with early prototypes since the real thing never made it to full production, as we discussed. But you are absolutely right if it were to ever be used for combat
