That was truly malicious and cruel of her. It really shines a light on who she is as a person, she just wants to hurt him.
They need counselling, you don't live the lives they have lived without scars.
From my experience, when you have come out of a dysfunctional relationship, dysfunctional behaviour becomes normal. So for example to resolve simple conflict would resort to below the belt name calling and unnecessary aggression.
The judge was right, in her assessment, they both have not had a good script to base their relationship on. It may be in their best interest to have intensive counselling before they get married. In addition they have a child together, who they need to set a good example.

Michael, if you are reading this, I want you to know that this girl is not the one for you! I also grew up in foster care and let me tell you... no one who continues to bring it up and insults you about being in foster care deserves your love. Whether sober or drunk. No one should be telling you that! There’s already so much stigma and so much hurt associated with it, and you don’t need it from the person who is supposed to love you! Leave her! I’m married now and my husband has never once brought that up, instead, he does everything he can to make me feel extra special because he knows what I went through. Take it from another former foster child, she does not deserve you!
Great msg Jessica, I too was abandoned as a child then was brought up w/a family where physical, sexual & emotional abuse occurred. It's taken me many years to heal & love myself so that I can be strong enough to 'decide' on just the right person for me. I'm not surprised by the judges decision and maybe it can work w/counseling if course.

For some reason i felt that there was something they weren’t speaking on and the thought “he hits her” popped in my head and then as watched & payed more attention to her, I noticed she tries to hide her top teeth as she speaks... IF she does it could’ve happened through an accident, poor dental hygiene or who knows but from her body language and other things they spoke about their case just put a discerning feeling in me that we aren’t getting the WHOLE TRUTH! A great friend once told me to never judge or envy someone bc they seem to have it all through their appearance (nice hair, beautiful kids, nicely dressed, big house, nice car, etc..) unless you know that person on a personal level you NEVER know what happens when they’re home behind closed doors! 🤔 hell you could know someone personally and not know the pain they’re suffering because they’ve done such a good job of covering up and pretending. That being said if that’s true about this guy I pray he gets help and if he doesn’t I pray for his children that they aren’t exposed to any of the foolishness again/ever!’

His childhood was, unfortunately, one no child would wish to have. That being said, he also needs some counseling because he seems overly trusting due to his desire for emotional attachment and connection that he wasn’t able to develop as a child.
Together they need pre-marital counseling, counseling periodically after the wedding, and ongoing counseling individually. With a more strategic plan set in place, the relationship may yield some sanity and respect from both parties.

Usually, she'll say something about setting the certificate on fire or tearing it. While it may not have needed to be torn... I don't know that I would've handed it back to them and given them my blessing. I'd definitely have told them to wait a year and if all is going well, then sure, go ahead.

I get where he's coming from because I was a foster child as well and ran away a few times when I didn't feel safe. She needs to get sober and he needs to get help with his abandonment issues and issues created from his childhood. Best of luck to both of them.

I can't believe Judge Lynn told them to get married, they aren't anywhere near being close to be ready for marriage, she's a drunk, drama queen and is emotionally abusive, if the tables were turned and the man was a drunk and talking down to the woman, judge Lynn would probably tell her to run, also it's bad advice to say if she tells you to get out, stay anyway, chances are she's drunk and things are going to escalate, next thing you know he's going to be locked up. On the flip side, I think he's looking for stability but grew up in a way that he's learned to expect to be abandoned or tossed aside so when she says go, he leaves and that is he excuse to be with as many women as he can before she comes around begging for him to come back and the emotionally abusive cycle starts all over and they are bringing a kid into this situation. The advice I would give him, is the advice I gave my brother and other friends. Stop letting women carry all the weight and have all the power in the relationship because your not man enough to take the reigns and do what you gotta do to work and be the one to be the provider. In other words, she can't tell you to get out of your own house, as a man you need to be the one on the mortgage or the lease, you need to be holding down the bills in away that you can fully support yourself without needing a woman and then nine times out of ten she will respect you more and not fight you to wear the pants in the relationship. The guys i know that are doing well and bringing in the money and have almost if not all things in their name have a much better time at being the king of castle and running things, that's not to say that a man should control a woman, what I'm saying is that when a man is handling his business traditionally, women let him do it. The problem comes in when you want to be the king of the castle and you broke, unemployed, always cheating, meanwhile she's holding down sometimes 2 jobs, supporting everybody and is still expecting to take care of the kids and the house and you expect the woman to be traditional even though she's holding the weight up for both of you, that's not how that works, he needs to do what he's supposed to do and then they work together to make the family unit work, okay my rant is over, I think I'm going into a whole new subject lol

This is very often overlooked by everyone. A woman starts of with a sob story about how she came from an abusive relationship and everyone automatically runs to her congratulate her from escaping that ordeal and blame the scumbag that she was with and completely overlooking the fact that she may have been the architect of her own destructive past.
