- Tamika and Joseph have been together 7 years before marrying, but now his gambling addiction plus their new baby has worn the two out. Joseph’s excessive gambling habits are draining their life’s savings and he refuses to get the help he needs. Aside from the finances, Tamika says Joseph no longer sweeps her off her feet like he once did long ago. Joseph asserts his gambling problem is because Tamika is aloof from the relationship and rarely wants to have sex. She doesn’t trust Joseph because of the issues from the past and she still holds a grudge against him.

Having a baby just mean joy and extra responsibilities. We have to understand that we have a problem, whatever it may be and get help. A baby can't help you with that, sorry.

I don't think that it should even matter what kind of work he does the fact that this young man is working and he's working a decent job not a mediocre lame job the fact that he can afford to lose 17,000 which is not a lot of money says that he has a serious Addiction in these casinos purposely and deliberately make it for people to get hooked everyday if I've seen it once I've seen it a thousand times in Atlantic City New Jersey in Las Vegas in Michigan in Mississippi the machines and the different games are always set up so that you will lose and they will win once in a rare Blue Moon might get something over win but it's not often at the end of the day I pray this handsome young man and beautiful young lady life don't have to be constantly affected by the Demonic persuasion of a casino😎😎😎😎😇🤔🤐

Addiction is a serious disease whether it’s drugs, alcohol, sex, or gambling. It’s easy for people to say/think if someone has an addiction they should get treatment and they’ll be “cured” yet they’ve never experienced it for themselves. Most people are in denial about their addiction and don’t think they need treatment. Only they can decide to want help and until they realize this is a serious disease and accept that they have an addiction, no one can push them into getting help. They need to want the help.
Now since he did NOT: Stop gambling, lying, losing money..what is she going to do now??

I really hope she is gearing up to leave. I know it will be hard but I do truly believe she is done. Hopefully she can live with family for a bit to get back on her own two feet. She shouldn't have to wait until "he loses everything" to "not be there with the kids"; she needs to go now before drags her down with him and it's too hard for her dig herself back out of his mess.

They met in college, she has her degree and wants to go back to working. Likely she’ll kick him out, go back to work and take care of her kids. She needs to get a legal separation even if she doesn’t divorce him yet so she doesn’t get dragged down in his gambling.

This man is childish and self destructive and I for will not allow anyone to destroy me while trying to "hold them down". That's BS especially since most men will not even do that for their woman.

This is the BEST episode this season! These are the types of couples that make the show worth watching... a great couple with a spouse who has a legitimate problem... something that’s worth our time. I’m praying that he gets real help for his addiction and that their relationship is repaired

That update just broke my heart. Unfortunately, you can't help people who don't want to be helped. He may have to lose his wife, his daughter, his home, his job, etc. before he takes his addiction seriously. But in the meantime, Ms. Pickering needs to put herself and the baby first and start planning her exit before things get real bad.
This was a great episode, but I didn't even hear the judge's final advice because of that baby. She is sooooo darn cute!!!

Asking an addict to seek counseling is the same as asking someone with a broken leg to walk to the emergency room and get fixed. He needs an intervention!!! She may have to leave his butt and take the baby before he wakes up!

Gambling addiction has very high rates of relapse, divorce and suicide. That $.25 in your pocket is always a trigger. It's a process addiction. Very devastating very quick.
He needs to go to treatment, but I suspect he's in the early stages of change and not ready to do the work.

@Olga Williams all addictions seem to end horribly. There is no single one that is better than the other. Some are obvious & easier to intervene. Others it is by the grace of God & lots of prayers. God grant us the serenity, to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen.
This is my favourite episode this season. Please let have more of these and less of the messy crazy people who are their to give judge Lynn headaches. We need more of her insights and advice.

This is me to a tee! I feel the exact same way as her!! I have two babies and I gained weight and have never been overweight, I miss working and have no romance. I cried watching this bc they belong together and I pray they work it out. It’s very hard for women and the gambling I can’t relate but idk I hope he can stop
