The standards for men is so low that if a guy cheats for 10 years and goes straight for 2 months people forgive him as long he pays the bills. As a result men underestimate the damage they’re doing to their woman. Once they finally decide to not cheat then they meet the angry woman they created. I agree with forgiving if you stayed through the cheating and he stopped but he needs to fix the damage he created and that start by spending more time with her and making her feel like a woman you’re in love again.
I didnt hear where he cheated for 10 years. She caught him with a nude photo 3 years ago. He was up to something then for sure. He explained he removed his social media and stopped communicating with other women 2 years ago. Hes explanation for cheating was feeling pushed a side as his wife travels and spends time with friends and family leaving him to his own devices. Neither said he cheated their entire relationship. He admitted what he did and make changes. 20 plus years is a long time to be married. With the communication issues they demonstrated here, plus his wife's lack of consideration for him and the undermining of him that she does would lead someone to find comfort elsewhere. He fixed it. I totally agree she needs more time with him. But they actually have different personalities. Her idea of fun is not his idea of fun. It sounds like he works everyday with multiple jobs and likes to spend his free time at home with a nice home cooked meal. That is not her idea of a good time. Hes running all week and she wants to run all weekend. I think she would get more time with him if she was willing to spend more time at home.

I didn’t say he cheated for 10 years, it was just a general example of how cheating is seen as something women need to get over as soon the man stops it. Using your partner or loneliness as an excuse to cheating is unacceptable. Talk to them, tell them to change, go see a counselor or get a divorce if you no longer loves the man/woman you’re with but don’t cheat and expect hugs when you finally stop. He loved her attitude enough to marry her and stay with her even after the cheating so her attitude isn’t a problem for him. He chose to pay all the bills, some men loves working. But making money doesn’t give the license to cheat. Anyway they chose each other and I don’t care about what they do and don’t see none of them as the victim. I was just saying in general because many men hate the angry woman they live with without acknowledging they hurt that woman so maybe she hasn’t forgiven them.

And she was so hurt by the nudes, that I'm thinking his cheating was a surprise to her not a continuous constant thing she was accustom to for a decade. That's just my impression. Nevertheless she stayed. Why stay and then charge your man for sex or not be able to trust him? Just leave him or forgive him. But the transactions make it hard to put any of it in the past because she likes the extra money the guilt provides. That is not a real resolution for the broken trust. It's kind of a distrust reward in a sense.

@@KingRose339 if that's the case then leave. It's always an option but don't complain after you've wasted 20 years of your life with a person who obviously had issues before you met. That's where complacency becomes an issue because you can't adapt to who the person is "becoming" so you choose the came combative mechanisms as a way of coping. I treat this problem a lot, mostly among short term couples.

He's working 3 damn jobs, coming home, still cleaning up and she's still complaining. The 30 min rule doesn't seem so bad because she can't keep her mouth shut to save her life, even when he was telling the story about the salad and about cleaning, she shouldn't stop interrupting him. I don't think they spent enough time on his cheating past because I feel it contextualizes her behavior. Yes she's demanding on him and a little needy but him being better NOW for 2 years doesn't negate the 18 he spent cheating. She needs to give him more room to relax and understand but I do think he needs to be more considerate of her emotional needs and ask why she feels how she does.

As humans we make some mistakes that seems unforgivable, but at some point in life if we don't forgive, it makes us unhappy and bitter. It kind of over shadow his flaws because he has taken accountability in a humbling way. But she deflects a whole lot, demanding, over talks him and admits to always having to step in to control situations. She might need to consider some therapy herself. I'm just saying🤷🏽♀️
