Nice simple design. I'm currently making one these myself and needed ideas for the pedestal so I did a search here on CZcams and your video was suggested. Glad I found it because it helped.
Couple questions: what wood type is this and what do you suggest for finish?

Thank you Stuart, glad the video helped.... Wood is steamed Beech, and for the finish,I use the same like on bowls, as some might cut the cake direct on wood or if not it will still get washed. So use same stuff like on bowls,just make sure clients know that they need to mainteined oil a bit
