Chili Ingredients
2 lbs. ground sirloin
1 lb. Chuck roast, cubed
6 cloves minced garlic or 2 tsp garlic paste
2 Jalapeños or jalapeño paste
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
3 tbsp tomato paste
Red/dark red kidney beans
Black beans
1 tsp beef bouillon base
Couple dashes Worcestershire sauce
Smoked paprika
Chipotle chili powder
Cumin
Brown sugar
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Thyme
Salt
Pepper

Love your chili preference! I like it hearty also- but i do poblano peppers vs green bell and add a bit of cinnamon - it does something amazing! Love your channel just found it!
Yum I have added poblano b4 but usually add Chipotle pepper in Adobe Sauce, brown sugar and allspice, super yummy. I'm gonna try cinnamon next time like you do😉!

Another great one, thank you. After my chili is made, I put it in a baking dish, make some Jiffy cornbread mix adding melted butter, sugar, habaneros and a bit of apricot preserves. Spoon that on top of the chili and bake. When it’s not quite done I put some shredded cheddar on top and finish baking. 🥘♥️

This looks good. I would add a little bit of Mesa corn flour to thicken it and a bay leaf to bring out all the flavor. Looks so good though with the jalapeño corn bread!

Made this today. I needed to make a smaller batch so I cut everything in half, substituted "Better than Beef Bouillon" paste with chicken bouillon powder b/c it's what I had, cooked on the stovetop and whipped up some cornbread to go with it. Thank you for sharing your recipe. It's delicious!

I use turkey ground meat. I also use masa flour to give it a little thicken. I had mine with corn muffin ❤

I just found your channel via Mr. Make It Happen -- subscribed. The chili looks really good, although being a Texas girl we don't generally use beans in our chili. The combination of chuck roast and ground sirloin looks really good. I will definitely give it a try.
I couldn’t help but respond to you, as you self-identified as a “Texas girl” who doesn’t generally use beans in your chili. I just read an article that said most of the south puts beans in their chili UNLESS you are from Texas. lol. I now live in Texas, by way of Chicago, and I definitely put beans in my chili. In fact, since moving here, I entered a chili cook off and won!😄 I never knew there was any other way to do chili than with beans unless bought in the can (meat only).🤔 Anyway, happy cooking!

You supposed to leave a little grease in the meat
If you don’t have a slow cooker how long for a regular pot on the stove ?
Still low heat and slow for a few hours. Check on the tenderness periodically maybe like every hour.

You said you added chili powder and cumin. But there was also a 3rd brown powder you tossed in. Was it Cinnamon?
I grew up in a Greek family and our traditional chili contains Cinnamon and some cocoa too..
In fact, the Greek recipe is what became famous in Cincinnati as "Skyline Chili" a local restaurant chain.
Tht sounds interesting!! Im gonna try cinnamon next time. I have always added brown sugar and allspice to mine, i luv it!! It gives a tad bit of sweetness but it's balanced becuz i use a lotta spices n seasonings .
