As an Arsenal fan, I think Mainoo is a class player. They play different roles. Both injected youth into squads when was needed. I think that quote is just pointless. Saka was playing LB to start his career at 18 before he even moved to the wing.

Saka is carrying some injury problems for some time already, getting kicked tens of times each match, Martinelli was on crutches, Jesus after a long injury (by the way caused during int. break and affecting his last two seasons in the club!) wasn't even ready for full play for club yet, it was also announced much earlier that Gabriel is carrying some foot injury for some time already... so, why the hell they MUST play in FRIENDLY instead of trying to recover from those problems????!!!! The Arsenal hate is primarily because Arsenal don’t have a record of dodgy finances. Chelsea and City’s successes can be put down to cash that makes everybody else feel better. Saka at 18 broke into the England squad as a left back and was called up to the Euros and was trusted with a penalty during the finals, yes he missed it but at the same time england were already losing his penalty was just the ultimate decider. Rashford, Sancho, Foden, Bowen, Eze, Neto, Olise, Kudus, Palmer, Garnacho and now Mainoo are some examples. The only player Saka is compared to when hitting form is Salah. This should tell people something.
