Man City v Arsenal was a tactical masterclass. City were so blunt not because they were off but because tactically Arsenal were so brilliant. Man City have been very average this season, and this is coming from a Man City fan, I haven't seen us this toothless since Pep's 1st season at the club, so with all that context taken into account, Liverpool and Arsenal definitely should be taking advantage. Arsenal neither choked nor bottled it, they were quite brilliant. Made for a dull game for the neutrals perhaps, but it was pragmatic. We've beaten them twice and drawn with them once this season. I mean, that's a better record within the top three than Liverpool and City have managed. No idea how the rest of the season will go, but this was a very good performance, which put pragmatism first and almost won us the game. Folks have been salty about Saka, but the shift he put in helping the defence was great... and that had to be the prority.
Last year it was 0-6 in points. This year it’s 4-1 on points.

What i had been saying before the Man City v Arsenal game took place is this. If Arsenal don't lose then in 3 matches (including Charity Shield) this season Man City have not beaten Arsenal once and in fact would have lost to them twice. I thought something similar but Arsenal didn't flop to West Ham and Fulham because of that draw, it was because of terrible refereeing against West Ham and tired legs.
