@@peterandersson6510 Nice? What's nice about it - Bocelli doesn't sound nice, to my ears, anyway. Still it's all a matter of personal preference.
One of the greatest operatic duets ever composed, the beautiful and powerful duet from "The Pearl Fishers" by Bizet. This is an outstanding performance by two of operas greatest tenors, Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli.
A better version of this is the recording with Jussi Björling and Robert Merrill.

There is always going to be opinion differences on just about everything including this duet performance. I have heard the other one that you believe is superior and really it’s just a matter of taste. In this his case I don’t agree or disagree. Both are excellent.
You think Bocelli is one of opera's 'greatest tenors'? You obviously haven't listened to many then?
@@edwardkerrigan5356 Oh oh, an expert has appeared from the netherworld of CZcams trolls 👿 to instruct us all on how knowledge he is regarding opera and its artists. Oh great one please disappear back from wench you came so that we may hear from you no more.
@@Brace67 When did I say I was an expert - although I obviously know as much, if not more than you about the subject? Everyone is allowed to express a personal opinion, which is really what we are talking about, even me. How many of the great tenors have you listened to, incidentally? Could you name some of them? If you have really LISTENED to some of the greats you would know that Bocelli's voice is poor by comparison. By the way the word is 'whence'.
Awesome!
Just goes straight to my soul
Modern music needs to take a lesson from the classics. Opera and Classical have nothing to fear of modern music. Always will be my choice.
Bravo!
Estoy agradecido de tenerte como un gran fan, he estado observando tu comentario y estaré encantado de hablar contigo personalmente en mi hangout por correo electrónico en placidodomingo694@gmail.com

Fantastico.Bravo Bravo .
As usual. Amazing!!!!
Absolutely spectacular. I’m ashamed to say I’ve never heard Andrea Bocelli’s voice until now. This was a very emotional and beautiful piece of music. Plácido Domingo - my god, I could listen to him all day. I’ve always been a big fan of music. Italian opera, classical, Baroque, Renaissance- it never ceases to amaze me. I got chills listening to this.

You haven't missed much - Bocelli doesn't compare with the operatic greats.
