When I hear Andrea Bocelli, I realize God still loves the world.
Andrea lost his sight as a child, and then Lord Jesus blessed him with an angelic voice.
Andrea Bocelli had his music and a voice before he lost his sight ... music and his faith sustained him through some very difficult and trying times.

Heard him say at one performance that his father encouraged him to train as an attorney so if “ this singing thing doesn’t work out “ that he’d have a real job to fall back on.
This is so true . However I find it so sad that he decided to commercialise this gift .

I truly believe Andrea sings from his soul, especially Christian hymns. His impairment has made him a genuine man of faith, even with his fame and fortune.
I just can't get enough of this version. All of the version's that Andrea Bocelli sings are absolutely breath taking. He's visually impaired but I know that he can see JESUS!!?

The quality of the singing and the quality of the pope make for a riveting contrast.
While not the power and tone of Pavarotti, Domingo, or Watson, Bocelli's tone and voice are beautiful, and his breath control is amazing. This reminds me of Mario Lanza's long breath control runs. That last note was held for an eternity without a fade or tick.... incredible!
God gave us such a blessed man with an amazing gift, he may be blind (on earth) but he sees!

I had the great fortune to be there to to hear this in person. And the reason I was there and heard/saw it up close because I was a volunteer selected on Wednesday of that week to work security on the stage area. What a great joy and blessing. Actually was on break sitting on the curb behind the stage when Pope Francis’ car pulled up.
What a wonderful experience this must have been, how great you had been there.
