Wasn't a Collingwood fan, but in the 70's as a kid in the yard i used to pretend i was Carman. He was good over head & on the ground had loads of skill. A very gifted player was "fabulous Phil"
He cost us the 77 granny ,,that one hurts, would of won that won for sure i reckon,,will never find out now thats for sure,,my favourite player of all time at the pies the HULK,,would of loved to see him with a medallion
And he hit Tuck for absolutely nothing when they were beating Hawthorn easily. A flawed genius footballer. You could be 90 percent sure Collingwood would have won the premiership with him.😮😮

Such a great player. In 1979-81 the Pies could have had a forward line with Carman and a young Peter Daicos. Now that would have been something.
OMG - Fanfare for the common man - Channel Seven flogged that song to death throughout every promo and sports show.
Admit it..., you love this game!

Now you mention it I think your spot on.

Yeah dude the hafey era was the best .just couldn't get that elusive premiership.
0.32. The brilliant No 36. How Collingwood didn’t win a premiership in that era defies logic. 1977 was one that got away.
I'm still crying.

best bit of that was Quinlan in the promo
Genius
And nut case.
And won a premiership with Norwood in the SANFL
I never forgave Hafey for forcing him to leave
He did let the ‘77 team down though.
And hafey made right decision. Played off in 3 grand finals.
@@paulkyriakopoulos3444 but if he kept him they would of won at least 2
