@@NBNV Gon's extremely positive and upbeat, literally the only time he snapped during the series is when he saw his own friend's dead corpse, puppeteer-ed, and turned into a training dummy. Killua grew up w/ a family of assasin's and lost his moral compass at an extremely young age, so no; Gon isn't more psychopathic than Killua.

Supers scaling is crap, so I get your confusion but goku is at minimum 100 times stronger in just ssb. Adding kaioken or ultra instinct takes that to the thousands. At least in gt we knew that this guy could beat this guy because he is this strong instead of power of friendship beats someone who stomped you both when you were thousands of times stronger (looking at you jiren) or have a character just become thousands of times stronger in HOURS (G O H A N). Gon is just a human boy while Goku is a Saiyan so the comparison isn't fair. No matter how much Gon trains even with nen he'll never have the power of Saiyans. I doubt anyone at the very end of hunter x hunter will even be as powerful as Nappa or Raditz.

This show is just stupid and they should just cancel it for something better. It supposed to be a fun fight with no facts, but then they get that wrong and can't stand they now add an announcer that talks longer than the length of the fight. If I wanted info I just watch normal DB.

Daniel Acosta Not arguing that HXH is a worse show, it’s definitely better, but it wouldn’t exist without Dragon Ball. Also, not to sound like a nostalgia-goggled we, but I think it’s also fair to say dragon ball was at its best when goku was a kid and a teen.

The power pole seriously doesn't get enough love in the later Dragon Ball series. It was what made Goku unique as a fighter early on at least for me on top of the energy stuff that came later on, but I will always remember the first time I heard POWER POLE EXTEND and he did some amazing stuff with it.
To be fair, I don’t think they use the power pole anymore because it’s connecting Korrin’s tower to kami’s lookout. There’s no reason they couldn’t take it back, but that’s my guess why they don’t use it anymore

True but it doesn't serve any purpose there after the Z Warriors learn to fly. Plus how many times have they used the Dragon Balls to reform Earth in the aftermath of severe destruction? You don't think the Eternal Dragon could fix a pillar between two structures, even if they are magical in nature? I think it's just that the power pole in combat was harder to put into action on the panels of the manga rather than in the show. It's easier to animate movement and accentuate action in that medium than in still pictures or at least that's my theory as to why it didn't see any use in Z, outside of a couple of scenes in Worlds Strongest and Dead Zone I think.

@@oof6184 Yeah, that's true. Akira Toriyama based Dragon Ball off of sense of wonder and comedy - before adding in martial arts. Just like he sends a rabbit to the moon with two of his human henchmen - all of which were breathing fine on the way to space and staying on the moon.
He's later shot in Super where he is FORCED to block it, or take serious damage. In fact, he DOES block it and hurts himself anyway by DEFLECTING it.
Also, Goku is confirmed to not be able to breathe in space by both Freeza in Dragon Ball Z, as well as Beerus from Dragon Ball Super - as Whis has to have a shield around the entire party, since even they can't breathe in space. And they are a God of Destruction and an Angel. And no, Goku as a Super Saiyan God and Beerus were confirmed to not be fighting in space, but in the Mesosphere where air is still there, but very minimal - also the upper limits of it before hitting the Thermosphere, is what most people consider "outer space", but it's still within the atmosphere of the Earth.
Basically, Kid Goku from Dragon Ball is more durable than Goku from Super. Are you ready for THAT conversation? If so, let's discuss people!

I think it may be a tie, because gon got extremely stronger at the end of hxh... not really but he can transform into something on par with goku but it will cost him his life. If he didnt have that he would have no chance mainly because dbz power scaling is just to high.

My only question for this though is why the animator decided to use gyo to signify that Gon could suddenly see goku. Gyo is mostly used for seeing and tracking nen which goku doesn't have, gon could've seen goku's movements fine without it.

I didn't get to vote but I actually finished HxH around 3 years ago, at least the anime(goddamit Togashi!). I've also watched some of og dragon ball, used to search up a lot about it back in middle school, and have watched clips of some of the more important fights.

The sprite animation was very smooth and flowed beautifully from one action to the other, plus the fight choreography all together was fantastic making use of both characters fighting styles. Goku using his tail, power pole, and kamehameha for mobility was great, and the finisher just took me by complete surprise with just how creative it was. Fantastic work on this! The animators should be proud of this one.
They've learned from the first few ones they released beginning with the vegeta fight because they were TRASH.

After dbx ends? They cut their death battle season in half for 10 weeks of dbx so their team has more time to work on death battle. This is their new format. 10 death battles, on break for 10 dbxs, then finish the year with 10 more death battles
