@@PoolD3ad007 Magneto's my favorite Marvel Villain and Galactus is unironically one of the most interesting villains in Marvel, as Stan Lee himself confirmed that Galactus isn't actually evil, merely does what he does to survive, which I think is a very underutilized trait that makes him stand out among other villains.

It can also be argued that most of Lex's armory was geared against Kryptonians, in short, Kryptonite powered and so is not inherently a weakness towards non-Kryptonians.
On the upside, Kryptonite seems to be useful in and of itself for a Swiss Army Knife’s worth of applications, such as for combat or as a power source, so it’s at least not _worthless_ if Kryptonians aren’t involved.
It's a comparatively small achievement, but I love his confrontation with Purple Man in the comics. He doesnt just overcome his power - he takes off his mask (voluntarily neutralising his own defenses), stands face to face with Kilgrave, and basically tells him "Hit me with your best shot." Incidentally, he steps into the chamber with which he is not only containing Killgrave, but amplifying his powers to world-conquering levels.
Doom doesnt even flinch.

Dr. Doom is one of the few characters from Marvel that I honestly feel you could pit against many of DC's upper pantheon and he would still win. He is just so insanely versatile and able to counter so much it's easy to see many situations where he would beat the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman.
Especially with that power siphon. If it could take all of the power from the most powerful being in all of Marvel, than doesn’t that mean he could beat anyone by taking all of their power

The funniest part about the fight to me is despite all the amazing tech and abilities these two wield, they start the fight with basically a match of lethal laser tag.
And DOOM also decided he needed to style a bit with that Foot Dive spam in the middle there

Two years later, I still cannot believe they said Lex's suit is better than Doom's. Doom's suit is actually magical. Lex's suit pushes the limits of physics while Doom's suit defies actual reality. Given enough time I think Lex actually might cook up a plan to trap Doom even if he couldn't ever kill him. But in a straight up fight, there's just no way Lex can win, not unless we're talking about super enhanced Lex vs early just a man Doom.
I think they went by more of a Physical standpoint. They said The Warsuit is just built to be stronger, tougher and faster then what Doom usually employs because Luthor has to contend with THE Superman, while Doom’s usual adversaries aren’t as all around extremely powerful as Superman. Not to mention he has that Motherbox as an almost infinite energy supply. Meanwhile several of Doom’s plots revolve around hijacking that kind of power from others in the first place (Hence why he created and eventually perfected his Cosmic Power Syphon). Regardless, Doom still wins because between his science and his magic and a general experience/practice advantage, he has a MUCH deeper bag of tricks to pull from, he knows everything in it well enough for maximum effect, and the Warsuit isn’t THAT far above Doom’s own armor that he can’t weather Luthors storm until an opening shows itself.

Lex Luthor always struck me as a schemer and in some versions of DC he is the most intelligent person in his universe, even seeing the source and the anti-life equation. Doom is obviously a genius of tech and magic, but has he shown Lex Luthor levels of genius? He just seems to act so foolish around the Fantastic Four, but maybe that's just plot like how the Fantastic Four defeat Galactus (which should be impossible without one of Reed Richard's super gadgets he makes way later on).

Doom and Reed are like The Mighty Monarch and Rusty Venture from Venture Bros: It’s a mostly one sided, VERY petty and intense hatred that makes Doom all the more sloppy than a man of his talents should be. If I were to surgically part him of this obsession then Doom would have conquered the universe multiple times over by now.

@@Tletna Doom is a much better schemer than Lex. He killed an entire race of gods that surpassed their own narrative and took their power, along with the several dozen other times he's done the same. He's waited 65 million years once just to get his revenge, molecularly changing himself so that even a man who could use Eternity, Galactus and Thanos as foot soldiers couldn't recognize him. He is a master in all things, hands down -- doesn't matter if its the Power Cosmic, the Quantum Realm, the divine or demonic, genetic, space, time, etc. By sheer knowledge, he is the smartest non omniscient person in the universe, bar none.
Reed didnt steal Dooms powers. Doom admitted Reed could have done a better job fixing the universe after it got wiped out right before he killed Reed. Molecule Man took that as confirmation that Reed should now have that power.

I like how Lex uses Superman's super-move from Injustice 2. Superman has plenty of iconic moves, and Injustice 1 featured a heroic and a villainous Superman, but only the villainous one is playable in Injustice 2. So even when Lex is trying to be Superman, he emulates the worst possible version of him.

I choose to believe that this happened after Lex and Tony fought, like it's in the same universe and that "No! NOOOOOOOOOOO!" was basically a "NOT AGAIN GOD DAMMIT!"
My favorite Doctor Doom feat was when Gwenpool -- who at this point in her story had harnessed meta-powers which allowed her to manipulate the formatting of comics to her advantage -- thought that she had to do something big like destroy Doctor Doom to keep existing. So she tracked the guy down, but he was going through that good guy phase, so he didn't want to fight.
No biggie. Gwenpool reached into him, extracted "Classic" Doom, then threw that Doom out of comics. As in carried him into the white space between panels and dropped him into the featureless abyss, retconning his existence.
About fifteen minutes in story-time later, Classic Doom reappeared, monologuing that while he wasn't exactly sure what type of trap he was sent to it was close enough to some prison subdimension ideas he was familiar with to jury-rig a setup to get back.
Doom was forcefully expunged from the very medium the story was being told in with no possible way to prepare or even understand what was happening, and he took less time to get back then most people take to have a good breakfast.
To simplify for some people who know who they are Doctor Doom basically undid his own unexistence.

In the comics, Doom says that line AFTER losing to his own creation and getting locked in the cage until Reed and Valeria get to save him. He didn't GIVE UP godhood nor was it beneath him, he simply wasn't a God and was saving face for his fragile bitchasss ego

Honestly, Rick Sanchez would've been a better opponent for Doctor Doom as they're both just THAT prepared. Now that I think about it, The Batman Who Laughs is also a good candidate for that reason as well

I don't really count Boba Fett or Goku, as their battles were remasters/follow-ups based on their first. It's not a total re-examination like Mario and Sonic's second fight.

If he doesn't rule the world, it is fated to be burdened by inequality and oppression one way or another. Given Doom rules, he will save all of humanity, seeing as Bast, the Panther God of Wakanda, and Doom himself, have seen several hundred thousand futures -- and the only utopias were the ones were Doom ruled, and the only ones that Doom ruled were utopias. His heart is pure, and his intentions noble.

One of the best parts is how they have to keep explaining to the other one what they did, just to make SURE the other guys realizes that THEY'RE the smartest man in the room.

I know Lex Luthor is one tough S.O.B. but I’m very surprised you guys didn’t bring up Doom’s fight with the Marquis Of Death. Doom literally was thrown back and time to the Cretaceous period, was mauled by dinosaurs, and yet he still survived, plotted and learned magic for over a million something years, then defeated the Marquis of Death at the exact moment he was tossed back in time.
