Simon we need DTU March 8 1994 Michigan Please make it happen
2:39 *pebbles… not petal/pedal/peddles
Keep the space content coming, Simon. Love it. Or start a space channel.
I would love a space channel!
Astrographics?
Freaking geniuses! Would be amazing!
Yep.We need a Simon space channel!
Exographics!
Oh the Uranus joke & laugh was just perfection!
The team finally gave in!!
I never get tired of hearing Simon talk about old people.
you mean the great geezers?
Every time i hear geezers i go, why u calling this planet a senile old fart
Doesn't matter if it's a planet, moon or dwarf planet, if it's big enough to be more-or-less ball-shaped due to its own gravity, it has interesting secrets to tell us.
Vote the best Fan theory of how Simon can run so many channels:
1) There are 100 clones of him.
2) He is an AI automated hologram.
3) Many actors are deep faking the videos.
4)He is a hive-mind of hundreds of people.
5)"ALIENS"
6) Sold his soul to the Devil.
7) He plays the song of Time backwards.
8) We all live in the Matrix so he is just an illusion.
9) He is a literal GOD.
And finally..
10) He is working himself to death.
11) He has a team of people working with him..
12) to use a wrestling term it's all a work. Danny killed Simon and through the use of dark magic and Google he is using Simon's body to make all of the videos
13) Time travel
it's more a Sean Carroll 'Many Worlds' thing, they all just happen to meet at Simon :)
He’s a highlander

6:20 - Mid roll ads
7:30 - Chapter 2 - The stolen world
12:10 - Chapter 3 - A liquid mirage ?
17:15 - Chapter 4 - Fly me to the moon
PS: The Commugraphics are still asking for an *Astrographics* channel
Astrograpics. Like it
astrographics yes please
Astrographics, I'd sub
That "Sailor Moon" crack was completely unexpected and gave me a hearty chuckle. Well-done!
We gotta do something about the geezers on Triton. Why are they there? Who put them there? Where are they getting their early bird breakfast specials? These are the questions NASA should be answering.
Good one! LOL
First time I heard about the moon Triton was good ol' Red Dwarf.
Isn't it about time for a Spaceographics channel? 😜
Love the astronomy content!
Astrographics would be a solid channel name.
@@voidstrider801 Simon did say Astrographics in the video. It would be amazing! How many channels does Simon have anyway. Is there a list somewhere? I love them all!
@@differentfins Most are listed in the comments section below the video. The one not there is The Science of Science Fiction..
This series is doing wonders for my current space obsession.
It's so crazy to me to think that, most likely, there is an ocean under one of the big ice moons that you could legit scuba dive in. If there's liquid water and a survivable pressure, it MUST be a temperature you could survive for a while at with an insulated regular diving suit.
Even weirder to think that when you came up for air through a hole in the ice, you'd die more quickly than by holding your breath underwater.
🤯
Scuba dive ? How would you get 20 to 30 miles under the surface of one of these moons let alone not freeze solid ?😂
@@JEL250 oh shut up. How the hell do you think they keep making these videos. It’s a sponsorship. So unless you send Simon money you can shut up.
@@JEL250 🙄
@@rolandthethompsongunner64 Probably with advanced 22nd century technology. Involving an ice drill, an advanced submarine, and enough leisure time and resources you can be sure you're the descendent of a modern billionaire or that society got it's stuff together and lets regular joes do this kinda thing.
Either way, I call dibs on the first Europan Reef Villa.
I did a presentation on this moon in astronomy class in college, truly a fascinating place that I'd love to visit one day. Awesome video as always Simon, been a fan of your work going on 5 years now.
what is your career like, after taking Astronomy in college? What do you do now?
I love how Simon says "geysers." I guess it's a British thing, like "aluminum." I picture an old man on his front lawn yelling at younger planets to get out of his solar system. 😆
Yeah...I was shocked that Triton shoots out "geezers".
Aluminum is only said in the US, the rest of the world say aluminum, you know, the name of the metal, and in the UK you have a multitude of dialects, some barely understandeable ;)
@@afrog2666 no, not in the rest of the world, in some places. and its incorrect per the discoverer. the usa sez it right. but you studiously skipped your goofyass geezers that nobody but a fey few on a small euro island say.
@@jaysonspears464 not just geezers, vahst geezers.
Cantaloop
I don't care what anyone says..
I think you rock the James Bond villain look.
All you need is a few extra bob and a couple of good henchmen.
Imagine...Triton, God of the Sea, having a ...sea!

Yaas!! More space videos!! You guys should honestly start a Space channel!!
Hi! Love your work; I’d be interested in a deep dive into the future of large scale manufacturing on the moon and an exploration of what types of structures, ships and probes could be produced and launched in 1/6 gravity. (Lower cost for exploration long term?)
You might as well just make a channel called Astrographics. We would all watch it.
I love that i can just tell that you guys have a clear geeky passion for astronomy and space.
The tone range of your background and outfit are very pleasing to the eye
I would love to visit all the strange and beautiful moons in our Solar system. However I can imagine that when you arrive on Triton, you would receive a frosty reception.
I thoroughly enjoy all of your content Simon and company, but Geographics is my favorite.
Kuiper belt and now this?? Truly feeling blessed.
"Great geezers erupting from the surface" is a hilarious image 😂
Who knew listening to Simon Whistler, talking about space stuff would complete my life...
"thoughts of lasagna"
AS I GLANCE DOWN AT MY BOWL OF LASAGNA
are you spying on me?
Fascinating video! I’m loving the space content.. I think an Astrographics channel would be a great addition to your collection of channels.
Please do a video on Neptune!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Excellent job, as always, Simon and team! 😊🙌🏻💯👏🏻
How on Earth do you do a video on every planet except Neptune!?....What gives Simon!?!......Too busy with Uranus?
Another moon with liquid water? The chances of creepy alien tentacle monsters living in lightless oceans rises by the minute.
Cthulhu fh'tagn!
If I had a time machine, I'd probably recommend them to call it Sailor Moon, telling them it would make sense later on.
Am I the only one who pictures giant Waldorf and Stanley muppets on Triton when Simon says"Geysers?"
:)
I'm fully expecting to see a bird nesting in that beard come the Spring
"Astrographics" sub genre.
Once again Simon has let the name of his new channel slip out. ALLEDGEDLY!
I always thought a geezer was an old coot....
This show is a delivery drivers best friend.
The sailor moon joke nearly made me fall out of my chair lmao
A geezer is an old man, and when Simon said that I laughed so hard 🤣
Not just a geezer, a "GREAT geezer" 😂
Great geezers are the antagonists of the new anime “Attack on Triton!”.
@@wile-e-coyote8371 That's a good one 😁😁
Simon pronouncing geysers like geezers makes for hysterical mental images 😂🤣
GRANDPA! Get down from that sky right now!!
Why? It is closer to the original Icelandic than your crude, quaint American mispronunciation. Honestly you Americans are illiterate.
Triton is my favorite moon!
Always loved your Biographics videos, Simon. Just discovered this channel and am looking forward to checking out the content. I hope you are keeping well and not working too hard! Take care.
Make👏Astrographics👏a👏real👏channel👏!
A Geezer is an old person.
A Gyser is a fountain......
This is why we need multiple space faring countries, they can all check portions of the Solar System separately so that the total knowledge is shared! One day that might happen :/
The Office meme was brilliant 😂😊
Love the space stuff, keep it up mate
China has already stated that they plan to launch a Cassini/Galileo-style probe to Neptune by 2040.
Now that I am pushing 50 I am so happy to learn there is a place where great geezers erupt.
Any diner that serves potato salad is a good bet, and much closer to home . . .
Surprised Mr Whistler doesn't have a space channel, given he has one for every other topic and subject in existence.
I swear he doesn't even try to get Icelandic words right. Nearly a thousand years and the brits still can't give the Dane minority any basic respect. (Joking)
9:57 knowing that some day Triton will be shredded to microdust warms my heart. Take THAT you weirdo "moon" exhibiting some of the most fascinating atmospheric and geologic activity in our solar system!
Outstanding.
Surely Astrographics is only a matter of time?
Love the space content. Always have and always will.
Every time Simon says geyser
My American ears hear Geezer and I keep thinking of old folks!
Edit: grammar
Finally, MORE good fckin spacefood.
I neeeeeeed more space content from you in my life
Can leave some new stuff for the next generations.
Yes geezer!!!
Excellent and very informative. When I lived in Arizona, I had a very good view of Neptune with my telescope in my back yard. I could actually see the blue colour. Great video. Thank You
Love the Sheer Khan reference
Love these , black knight satellite next please
I love space-o-graphics!
love the space videos! I think there's enough content to create a new channel it can be called spacegraphics or astrographics or something
it make me sad to hear about triton losing its sister :(
I think it’s kinda of exciting…. A possible explanation for the evidence that points towards a ‘Planet X’!
You know, the Garfield and Shere Khan comparison really put things into perspective
1:24 Nice Peaky Blinders reference!
Hmm. I wasn't aware of this...thanks for making us all aware of this interesting & intriguing fact
One other thing.. The year Neptune was discovered was the same year the Franklin expedition disappeared. Idk why I just found d that eerie.
More space all the space
That beard is reaching dangerous levels of manliness, Simon.
Yes please start a space channel. Please!!!!
Is there a by chance you could do racing tracks, I know you’ve done Le Mans but I was wondering about Nurburgring, Suzuka, Indianapolis, spa francorchomps, brands hatch, silverstone, red bull ring and maybe some wrc trails/tracks? Would love to see some Motorsport history etc content
ice = water.
water = H2 and O2 for fuel | H2O2 for oxidative reactions. plenty of H for hydrogenation (making acids/bases) and O for Oxygenation.
Add any hydrocarbons (methane, ethane, etc) and you got the raw materials for A LOT of stuff.
I've always been fascinated by Triton ever since I learnt of it back in 2004 as a teen when reading a now outdated Astronomy book named Explorations. I honestly believe that Enceladus, Triton, Ganymede, and especially Europa have carbon based life. Maybe even as advanced as jellyfish! I also believe that Titan has some exotic silicon based life.
Now you need a Venus update with the recent discovery about vulcanism.
What an incredible world.
I was born in 62 so as you can imagine I've grown up with the Space program. And I love the space program and all it has discovered and all that it will. But when under such budget constraints, I think sending two more missions to Venus is a waste of funding that could yes, give us a probe to Triton. We already know what we need to know about Venus for now, which is that it is Hell. We've mapped it and I don't recall anything showing up that needed NASA's immediate attention... Personaly my money is on Europa, simply send down a lander, Then the Submarine Ice drill can do its thing... Easy Peezy... HERE FISHY FISHY!! :)
Do Titania next!
Can we get a space video playlist please and maby a few other ones
0:45 great geezers errupt :)
I always liked to fly there in the LSS Photon on orbiter space flight simulator, i just called it "snow ball" lol
It’s sad that we keep exploring Mars has no possibility of life while ignoring places like Triton, Ganymede, and Europa that could support life.
I learned so much about geezers i mean geysers today
Can we please just send a thousand probes? I have so many questions about these moons and planets
Let's not forget Jupiter's Europa and Saturn's Enceladus and Titan as well.
“The Very Large Telescope”😂
Cubiclespace - more popular than Squarespace despite having none of the features.
a 'Whistle-Out' to Whistler~
I always thought a cantaloupe was an exotic food only found in USA, then I found out it's just what they call rockmellons! Like when I discovered cilantro was just coriander
Triton isn't really a natural satellite. It's a captured planetoid that's going to someday be similar to Saturn's rings.
Next channel consideration:
Astr🪐graphics!
👍
The CCP has a space agency, yet claims to be a Developing Ecomomy lol
Yea it is
I think the last astronomy decadal survey elected Neptune as the “goal”.
Just an Astrographics reminder that NASA wants to probe Uranus.
What's great about science is the fact no matter who makes the discovery, everyone around the world can benefit from it. If China does go ahead with picking up the Neptunian torch, it could spare the scientific community an additional 40 year wait period on any discoveries for Neptune and Triton.
Space must be littered with rouge planets and moons. The vast distances between stars isn’t empty. Something we would need to know about before attempting interstellar travel.
Venus does have active volcanoes. Mars also has them to but the majority of then are dormant or extinct.
900 times a size makes that size get bigger. 1/900th the size would have been correct. js
----
Also, if the seasons change every 40 years, then wouldn't it be eight decades until the next window opens to explore the Tritonian winter? (Yes, it would, because there will be forty years of the winter which is about to begin, plus forty years of summer before the winter rolls around again.) js
1:48 I-I would've said Callisto...
Triton has always been the best moon.
Wow old people are exploding on the surface of Triton. 😳😮😜
