I love this channel I've only been practicing for like 3 weeks and I'm already getting better thanks to these guys especially my line work
Awesome, keep up the progress!
UNBELIEVABLE! Thank you for breaking it down so well. I can't wait to give it a go!
Wow man. I have been watching ur vids for the last 3 or 4 weeks and have learned so much from you. You have such great talent. Great work and keep bringing out tutorials. I have been watching them all. Thank you
I love your work and you explain/show it really well
Bro i hope you take this as a compliment because that in the intention. You are the Bob Ross of tattooing! Thank you so much for everything you do.
Wow, thanks! Being compared to Bob Ross is high praise 🙌🏼
Please do more of these longer tutorial style videos. They are so great!
Thank you so much for this video! ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome ♡ thank you. Learning greyshading ….. Was just about to ask you to make a video on it; this is great. Cannot thank you enough
Glad it was helpful!
30 million that perfect we'll this is the best channel, I ever watch anyway.
I currently use a 4mm stroke machine for my black and grey and it's better then ever. I can get tones in faster dealing less trauma to the skin and the tattoos have been healing up faster . But then again it all comes down to hand motion riding the ocean ..wax on wax off type stuff !
Great video. Helped me tremendously and so much fun to do 🙂 yes would love to tattoo a realistic tiger.
Yes I'd love to see another realism video. Maybe how to do animal fur. This has to be the best video on CZcams for realism. I've watched this video 4 times now! The way you break everything down. Realism is something I want to try, never have I done realism. I'm not the best at drawing portraits so I always figured realism isn't my style. I'll never know if I don't try and practice. So with that being said I'd love to see some more videos just like this one. As always much much respect Brandon. Oh by the way on your short 50 thousand subs video you were in West Virginia. Do you remember what part of WV looked familiar almost looked like the rest stop off RT 81.
Great Video! Anything on Realism would be Awesome to Learn! Thanks for these Incredible Videos! 👍👍🤗
I'm glad you found it helpful buddy!

@@Tattooing101 do you also add some white color to the cups when you tattoo on human skin ? Or just water
Love it bro!
your good at what you do content & art
Thank you for super awsome work.
Thanks!
Would love to be able to see the stencil/photo as an insert while you're inking so we can see what you're looking at (ie. at 6:20, you say "And we can see that there is a very light area right here...", but we can't). But super great video to watch. Amazing.
I was thinking the same thing
Great!!! Nice work bro !!
Thanks ✌️
Thanks brother
Thank you
thanks for your tutotial, id love to see a tutotial on smooth color blending and smooth transitions ... like a sunset, or firey phoenix with briliant reds, oranges and yellows
Haven't tattooed in a while. Great refresher video for me. 👍
Thank you bro
I liked this video as I do with most! My only suggestion or ask would be to split screen like a little cube where we can see the reference photo.
I'm just starting out love your work brother would love to see more I'm a us army veteran severed in Afghanistan could you do videos of Fallin soldiers I think that would be dope brother
Good look this video was seriously helpful
Glad to hear it man!
Do you ever need to line realism tattoos, maybe with a light grey wash? I was wondering how artists preserve the stencil for a realism tattoo that requires multiple sessions.
This is an amazing question. I'd also like to know.
I heard they line with water but it only lasts like a few days
@@mr.nugget4458 interesting. Thanks for replying.
I'd probably use his lightest grey to line it (a drop with three drops of white)
So in my experience: there are water lines/blood lines which are essentially invisible a few days after the session which we use to map out many larger
realism/surreal pieces. And there are ghost lines done with either a very light wash, gray ink or even a piece powder blue. As long as the lines are eventually absorbed into the edges and values smoothly, there are many technique for lining realistic tats
IM HEATING UP NOW!!! 😇🙏🔥💎✨🥷👑👁️😁
question: when you go real light in areas to build up the values, wouldn't that be fall out when it heals since its light? Thanks!
Can you do realism with a 3.5mm stroke and get good results or do you recommend lower?
Been 7 months since this realism piece. come on Brandon I need some more realism! Whats the next piece your thinking of doing? As always much RESPECT and God Bless!
Thanky
You make it looks so easy you have such talent!i dont even have 1% of your talent.people make fun of me :(
Ty
You're awesome
can you do a vid on color realism?
thanks for all the content
Can u please do a realistic animal tattoo, like lion or tiger or wolf ... With fur and all.. plz.. thank you in advance
Can you do some tribal, well preferably a red tail hawk?
Hi can you tell why when doing a black and gray
That you use a light first then a medium and then black
Could you nor just use the black first
Regards Mark
How many drops would you put in each ink cap if you were using the small ones?
Nice video I do fine lines and realism this video help with some of the under tones of the eye just got one question tho could you use a FK IRON FLUX at 5.5v and liner to build those tones in just dots like stipple shading
I’m talking about a 0805rll
When you mentioned 8 6 3 water does the eight need white ink and water or it’s just straight up black?
I’d love to have seen the reference… but great video!✌🏾🤙🏾
You can check out the reference in our previous video on how to make a realism stencil
czcams.com/video/bOqj1YkFqIg/video.html
How do you get the perfect needle depth when your mostly all wrist and no figure right underneath the cartridge? Like does that matter if your using a meg or a rounded shader
@tattooing101 Thanks for all the tutorials you make. Awesome work!! Small tip, it might be easier for projects like this to pin a small screen of the original at the bottom right of the screen so that people can see where you are in the project and what you are doing. Maybe then people will understand some parts better
I think we will start to incorporate that in future videos!
Are you just scratching the skin when doing the light shading or are you hitting the dermis layer.
So what do you use to take the stencil lines off at the end?
Nice video Brandon...why can't you use the axys valhalla on real skin? I think you mentioned that. Thanks
Same question!
Because their disposable grips don’t come sterile so in order to use the machine on human skin you would need an autoclave but if you have one, you're good to go.
Gave you another sub
What is the dipping technique you are using as far as knowing how dark you need the shade color
I would love to see a video on doing realism human hair
Great video! As an apprentice, I appreciate these video's a lot!
Are there risks of scaring, when it comes to realism tattooing? Specifically when it comes to shading over areas multiple times? Thanks.
That’s why u should use bug pin and especially long taper set up for the needle, less stress to the skin and much smoother application and texture, the only problem u will really found out it’s the needle depth 2 mm is too much 1 mm is too little
Hey thanks for this but is there a tutorial where u show how to map out the areas in the stencil. Thanks!
Yes please
Would like to see texture traditions in realism
thanks so much ! do you recommend using white in a human allso?
Yes, when used in the right way it can really help to make a tattoo pop.
Is it a cleaning issue? I replace the inner gasket and "plug" as someone else called it every time i use it- they only cost a dollar a piece- and autoclave it between clients. Is there any other issue i should be aware of??
one question sir, bout the graywash, did you stir the mix drops of inks in the cup?
Yes I do
Hi I'm new here please can you explain why the water? Do you put water in inks while tattooing humans?
Wow, mindblowing video, but sidenote, you ask for it xD but can you make an animal with a lot of fur, like a lion or a bear, i really struggle with fur, and i want to understand how the hell realism fur works. Thank you btw :)
Hair or fur would be dope
Quick question as an apprentice, why mixed the color with water and why only water
Total different qeustion are most needle cartriges comatiblr with different pens i bought a posiedon
Is there somewhere to download the stencil?
Incredible! It’s a little overwhelming for a newbie though😖
It’s okay, take it step by step. And practice!
Thanks for ur video we would like to se a realistic nose
Great video, you guys are amazing. Which round shader are you using? 5, 7?
A 9rs
Can you do animals with creases like elephant or so
In your video you mentioned that you were using the axys Valhalla, but wouldn’t use it on human skin, can you elaborate why? I’m trying to get into the business and doing some research into what kind of machine I can use, and what is a good all around machine
Wondering the same thing
any chance you could give us the stencil to download please please
you have amazing lessons and great information. I am new to tattooing and i love your content. I am in no way a great artist but i am trying to work on it thank you so much
Help. No matter what I do, I can always see the individual needle lines. I have watched video after video, tutorial after tutorial, lines, shading, everything. Still I see the individual lines in my skins. Both fake skin as well as my own skin. From 5RS up to 9Mags. All combinations. The only way to get a fairly decent fill in to overwork the skin. Element black. Wormhole Pen. What am I doing wrong?
Ive heard conflicting info regarding "bugpin"... are those mags .030 or .025? I wished everyone would use #'s instead of nicknames lol
Video on hair plz !?
30k? Now let's Go for 100k next. 💪💉
Why can't you use the Axys Valhalla on an actual client?? I'm really curious bc that's my main machine and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with that particular machine that I shouldn't be using it..?? Please respond!
Hello my friend!, Is it nesessary to put dictelled water on the plastic cup to CLEAN our needle while we are tattooing? Or just tap water? Not at the small cups with tha innk, am talking to tha cup with clear water ...THANKS!!!
Generally you'd want to only be using distilled water at the very least
Great work
Thanks for this!
What size round shader?
Will be happy if you can show how to tattoo lion with details flur
And what do u use I could’ve swore I hear u say Vaseline but I thought Vaseline pulled out ink?? Does anyone know what he’s using tht might be the key element im missing I’ve progressed pretty fast my first 4 tats on myself aren’t gonna needed covered up but forsure need some help I had a traumatic experience w my mentor so will not be using him…..
No white highlights?
What brand of skin was used
Yes! Would like to see fur done on a Wolf, or lion? Or even a house cat? You got good work! Loved the eye!? Be cool,Mr.wolf
Thanks for the idea! I'm planning on doing more realism tutorials
Is it smarter to start the shading before the line work or its a preference?
For realism there is no linework.
What size round shader is that
