I am incredibly excited to have this Spartan Blades Raider Dagger -- a modern interpretation from one of my favorite makers, Les George, of one of my favorite knives from history, the Marine Raider Dagger, made by one of my favorite companies, Spartan Blades. In my opinion, every household should have a dagger and if you only ever have one dagger, make it this one.

Great appreciate you sharing our dagger! Thank you for taking the time to do this. It’s much appreciated. Stay safe and all the best, Spartan Blades.
Great knife great value.
Everytime I buy a knife I tell myself it's better than buying crack lol
I am the proud owner of 4 Randall Knives, top notch quality, my fav are the nbr 1 and nbr 14. knives are ready for battle.
Just got the Raider Dagger AND the Harsey Fighter. My first (& affordable) Spartan blades! What a great feel! Perfect for me in every way. Affordable American made? They continue on that path Spartan Blades, are gonna be very busy bees!!! GREAT VIDEO Bob...
Thank you for your kind words, hope your blades are treating you well. Stay safe, and all the best, Spartan Blades.
@@SpartanBlades1haven’t heard anything negative (that was reliable) about your knives and believe me I try lol just ordered this blade and I’m looking forward to it’👍
It's an awesome knife. I spent years looking for a functional dagger for this price.
I'm going to drop my own review soon... but in french 😅
Thanks for your review
Holy smokes!! Now I need one 🔥
1942 Marine Dagger
This fighting knife was designed, with close combat in mind, by Lt. Col. Clifford H. Shuey, who formed the then-new Engineer Division at H.Q. U.S. Marine Corps. The year was 1942.
The knife was inspired by and based on the most-famous Allied fighting knife of World War II - the early version of the Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife of the Royal Marine Commandos; this knife was also called the British Commando Knife.
Looks mean! Awesome design🤙🏼
All awesome 🎉!
Nice daggers Bob. If you don't already have them, you need to add the Ka-Bar EK model 4 commando (the General Patton blade,) and the cold steel drop forged wasp daggers to your collection. Both are awesome 👍
They all look awesome. I agree about the dagger in a house. I keep an old (about 30 years old) dive dagger somewhere, just in case... I've double edged the tip of the 4.5 inch drop point blade, partially serrated on one side as many dive knifes. The blade has the same shape as the rambo knife, the movies where really popular when it was bought to me, with smaller serrations.
I should order some custom sheath, the original one is made to be carried on the leg, hard plastic with silicone straps, as long as the whole dagger. Not suitable for a standard belt carry.
The gard makes me confident if i have to use it on defense purpose. As the pommel that can be used to hit hard.
I’m so torn. I’ve been jumping back and forth between an offensive industries 3” vargr, auxiliary manufacturing Kwaiken, auxiliary manufacturing xl bottle rocket, and Williams SZM 003. Now I have this that has been stuck in my head all day.
Outstanding top notch bad guy blood lettin tool!! Killer blades&killer vid Ultimate Knife Junkie Supreme!! I had 1 of those trench knives exactly like the 1 you got but it got stolen&I haven't been able to find a better fitting pair of knuckles since.
Cold steel ❤ looks the best
You carry it as a boot knife? Isn't it too heavy?
The Taipan is pretty, yes, but I see it as more of a cutter, the raider is more of a stabber, but both can do both
All wicked good!
Ohhhh no, lol guess where i find myself working for a couple of weeks??? Southern Pines, NC. Now guess where Spartan Blades is located.....you guessed it 625 SE Service Rd, Southern Pines, NC 28387.
Nice dagger by Spartan Blades , I already have a Tai Pan in San Mai & 3v akso but being a dagger enthusiastic person I'm always in the market for a new one for the collection ,larger ir small.
They are rhe best heart stopper without any question. 🗡️🗡️⚔️🗡️🗡️
I come with a dangler thing as well. In fact thats my superhero name. The Dangler! Dangles right in front of Danger! There is no Danger the Dangler won't Dangle at!
I like the Spartan daggers but I paid for a Boker V 42 for a third of the price and it too is a very beautiful dagger well-made and sturdy
where did you get the add on clip for the sheath?thx
I fell off on Spartan after splurging on an Ares for my birthday. Was always looking at their daggers, though. Now I’m like, “Dammit, they got me again! I need one.”
Good review
You're on a dagger tear, Bob! I should know! ❤🗡️👍
Sweet!
I can't recall marine raiders creators name either. Its alot like fs knive but some came with pummel and a weird finger groove type thing flat on b!ade up by where makers name is. Mine is a modern take and is a real nice copy
Sweet 😎
When I saw that on your live, I thought it was the Acta Non Verba 'Anthropoid'.
The Marine Raider Colonel was Evans Carlson. He was rather disliked by USMC leadership for his 'Asiatic' tendencies, even to the point of being accused of being Communist early in WW2. If he had, in fact, gone 'Asiatic', the Fairbairn Sykes dagger would have made sense, since both Sykes and Fairbairn were involved with the Shanghai Police during the same time frame as a Carlson served as a USMC Officer with tours in China several times in the 20s and 30s.
Everything you said here is right on point, and historically accurate. Well done, sir.

I believe the Raider Bowie was associated with Carlson, a massive nine-inch Bowie knife known as the Gung Ho knife.
@@SpartanBlades1 not exactly.

The name at 5:05 is Rex Applegate

Makes me think of like a V44 or Fairbain/Sykes dagger
I had a Fairbairn-sykes British Commando dagger, and it was stolen it's worth $300. Dam it.
@@tigerpisces5506 That stinks man. I had a Spyderco military stolen one time so I feel ya
We Americans love "tactical spikes" on knives.... I don't know why, but we do
What clips on sheath?
Bro, whered u get that 1918? That a repro? Those knuckles look pretty generous
I had a Fairbairn-sykes British Commando dagger, and it was stolen it's worth $300. Dam it.😢 How does this dagger 🗡 perform as a throwing knife? Balance is perfect on a Fairbairn-sykes commando knife.
The first one is in fact a Fairbairn-sykes commando knife.
Cold steel Taipan looks more stable on the tip. But more spendy.
My uncle said it was tough to kill with knife in Korea
I like the fighting stilleto, no wonder, it's a $500 knife.
do you think this knife will rust fast and contaminate food? steaks and bacon and chicken and onions? my kitchen door is open in the back I live in the ghetto. I normally cook w a s35vn hunting knife but I really like the dagger
It will only contaminate tomato’s and shallots, you’re good
Check the Acta Non Verba M500
M500 ist Sharp in the edges...
I fucking LOVE mine Spartan V14 in flat dark earth version -Its THE SEXIEST blade ive EVER seen !!!...
LOL, I don’t know about sexy, but we appreciate the kind words!👊🏼
Now $109 online seem like a good deal
SB sellin TIWAN blades?
When you said ‘based on’ the Fairbairn Sykes did you mean to say blatant facsimile 😁?
Trench knife with d guard is ridiculous
its better than Fairbairn they well break wheelchair larry
Why 1918 , busines, ka Bar
Is for Sale by. 🇬🇧Commando round gip where is the blade? Randal ❤ but overpriced .
Indidel benchmade

How Sharp is the spartan Dagger V14 ? Razorsharp in both edges ?
