It's not all about measurements. Processing and tone mapping have been improved which make a big difference. Everyone is saying the G4 is a good improvement over the G3.
Just because a panel can do 3000 nits doesn't mean it's viable to use in the consumer end of the OLED. Want to bet you'd see burn in all over the place. That 3000 nits is likely just for a split second or two and then it tapers off a cliff down to 2,000 nits or less.
Hey man, great videos as always. As of right now, what display would you get for primarily PC gaming? I was looking around and I'm interested in BFI but the only ones that have it (to my knowledge) are the LG C1 and the PG32UCDP but I've heard the implementation sucks on the Asus. Do you know if the current batch of LG C series are any good or nah?
Dude your so right about the grain in movies not being a clean source. 8m always shocked at how bad gradients look, but i dont have any hdr content so tgat might be why too i guess.
The improvements are there: You have 144hz for PC gaming. You can have it with a stand. It depends on, if you can get the G3 + a stand cheaper than a G4 and if you are playing on PC or console only. But unless 120hz BFI doesn't come back, I see no need to upgrade from my CX.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I would like to see an OLED, where you can fine tune the BFI. Let's say down to 10% persistence, if you are willing to sacrafice brightness. 😍
You can’t evaluate image quality based on CZcams videos. The video capture from the camera used will make drawing conclusions impossible. Most reviewers that have seen the G4 in person and tested it are impressed and giving it high marks.
Hey Ariel🙂, what are the drawbacks of using sharpness 50 when gaming ? Cause i noticed when you set sharpness there is no halo but instead it just makes image more clear, and sharp. It kind of upscales low res textures in games and doesn’t oversharp image. So I just wanted to know what are the drawbacks? And do you recommend it?
The g4 is incredible. It's much better than rtings shows it being. There is a depth to it that can't be measured. Especially if you're a gamer. Thsts the biggest thing. G4 rivals qd oled in gaming. Bright colors and super bright highlights
Hey, did you end up getting the RetroTINK4K? I plan on picking one up with an open box 65" S90C in the next few months. Don't have a beefy PC rig just yet(RTX5090 is landing this october, so I'll be holding out until then, which i'll also be pairing with Quest 3), but TINK4K supposedly only has 8.3ms of latency total when using it's 60hz BFI, and it also comes equipped with an HDR brightness boosting trick setting for SDR, I'm assuming with much higher brightness compared to using HDR module on in the C1's SM, and without any color issues either. Using the TINK4K will add 2ms of lag, then 8.3ms of lag with it's 60hz BFI and then a few more ms with the HDR SDR brightness boost trick. Total should be around 14ms which isn't too shabby and it's lower than the C1 BFI's 20ms. You can also easily correct any BFI shadow detail crushing with the wealth of settings it has as well. Plus, for SDR Movies/TV, using it's triple strobe BFI for 24 & 30fps content on a 144hz OLED, it will drop the motion persistence down to 6.94ms, and reduce film judder down to like a CRT. Kind of a big deal. It's going to be like watching movies on a plasma, except with perfect blacks, higher brightness, less film judder, but with more flicker. It also does the following at 1080p instead of 4K, but that's perfectly fine if you plan on staying 65" and lower and watching whatever at a reasonable distance. ;)
Got the 77" S95D on a 40% discount, and I still feel scammed. VRR just simply does not work. It shows VRR on, but you get tons of screen tearing. Audio drop outs happen every 10 minutes. The matt coating absolutely serves no purpose. During the day, the blacks are so raised that you lose all details in dark scenes. So technically, you can not see anything. There is a time during the evening when my C1 is very useable without annoying reflections. Yet the S95D still has the raised blacks, which make it look cheap. The colors and brightness are amazing during the night, though.
Its a common VRR problem on all OLEDs, I use Gsync and there is no problem on my current LG OLED CX, Also when using BFI120hz there is no problem either.
@plasmatvforgaming9648 I have been trying to make the TV work, but coming from a C1 OLED, it seems like the raised blacks during the day on any QD OLED is going to drive me crazy. Shocking how no other youtuber mentions this issue except you. Do you think G4 is going to have washed out colors or has MLA truly helped in this regard?
This is a brilliant video. Just come across your channel and i love it, subscribed too. Btw, i have a77" G4.....replaced a G3. It is slightly better but i expected major improvement in sharpness, alas im disappointed. Thinking of getting rid and buying 77" A95L. Great job my friend 🤗
Can you recommend a TV with a better film representation? Which doesn't have the noisy / grainy look you describe at the beginning of the video? I currently have the Samsung S95B, but I find it sometimes "noisier" compared to my old LG C1. It is strange this aspect doesn't get covered properly by all the specialised reviewers.
You can use the smooth gradation setting to crush the firm grain, but some of the details will get lost. Unfortunately, the film directors do this on purpose, absolutely crazy that they think it looks better when they add noise.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Thanks, Samsung has no Smooth gradation settings, and Shrpness is already to 0 (minimal). What I also observed is that OLED TVs DO HAVE a kind of break-in period where everything looks even more grainy, but this gets better after few weeks. Or is it the AI that kicks in? I have observed this on Netflix and Disney+, and it is not just eye accomodation, the picture went from grain to clear on Netflix and less grain on Disney+
Ariel what tips do you know for Ps5. Can you tell me what do you recommend for the PS5. I don’t care about input lag. Maybe you recommend something with super resolution? I don’t much about input lag. Most of the games on ps5 are upscaled so they don’t look that sharp like on PC for example.
I'd play around with the sharpness slider on FPS mode. Super resolutoon is way too overkill to be useful because you need to increase to sharpness to 25 on std for it to do anything, and it looks awful at that point.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I get the feeling your also going for an upgrade soon, does it stand between S90C and C4 for you aswell or was that just your recommendation to me? 😇 Personally I would never buy anything else then LG, Samsung is very dodgy with there tech in Europe.
Do you use HDR all the time in Windows 11, or do you just turn it on whenever you start a game? I was wondering if it’s healthy to keep HDR always on and decrease the SDR brightness with the slider in the HDR settings while having both the brightness and contrast of the TV set to 100%. Is it safe to do that, or should I manually switch HDR on and off to prevent image retention?
Hey, glad to see you're back :D Do you think we will get some day a technology that is not sample and hold again, like when we had the option to choose between LCDs and CRTs? Im particularly interested in "Laser-powered phosphor displays" i have been researching about then and they seem do be amazing. Big resolution and not sample and hold. Also dont seems to have a native resolution... Sounds familiar to you?
The future is brute force 1000+Hz sample and hold to get full HDR brightness and no flickering. I'd still like non sample and hold displays, but I don't see it happening
@@plasmatvforgaming9648i mean... LPDs are basically the advancement of CRTs... They seem to have the advantages of CRTs (motion clarity specially) without rhe disadvantages (being so heavy, bulky)...
Hey Ariel, can you please try sharpness 30 on your tv in one of the game optimiser preset STD and sharpness 15 on FPS and compare them by switching. As you know I have the latest update on my LG C2 web Os23 so it would be great if you test it and share it with me. Thank you!
Man your videos are the best, you taught me how to transform the LG C1 into the most amazing display. I can’t go back to a display without BFI now 😂. Any updates about your experimentation with 3d? Sounds interesting
You should make a video, on a CRT while using 30 fps. I’ve heard that some people have used interlacing to eliminate the 30 fps double image on pc. But I’m not entirely sure if that’s the case. You should definitely try it
The double images when 60Hz 30fps will happen on CRTs. I don't see how interlacing would eliminate that, but I'd learn something new if that's the case
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I’m not entirely sure. There have been people, who said they haven’t seen double image on the ps2 because games were interlaced. I’m not entirely sure about computers
I think that the display problems in the G3 could possibly be processor hardware problems, so LG might not be able to fix them with firmware updates. I think that the G3’s Alpha 9 processor hardware is a partial mismatch to the MLA panel that it was paired with. In game mode, the G3’s processor probably relies on the game mode hardware algorithms that were baked into the processor and cuts out software processing as much as possible to minimize input lag. The non-game modes add input lag which probably means that software processing including color processing is involved. Also, the G4 fixes or mitigates near black chrominance overshoot and black crush that have plagued earlier WOLED TVs. It is possible that these problems are due to bad or missing hardware in the Alpha 9 that LG finally fixed or added to the Alpha 11. If these problems are processor hardware problems, a firmware update can’t fix them in older TVs with the problematic processors. LG appears to have been caught flat-footed by QD-OLED, so LG Display hurried to add MLA that it developed first for 8K to some of its 4K lines, and LG Electronics apparently hurried to use that for the G3, turning out a half-baked product in my opinion. LG Electronics saw the bugs that the G3 has, and realized that it needed a new processor to fix them for the G4, and then decided to throw in more video processing abilities while developing the new processor. As for the always on details sharpening, I don’t know if it is done by the Alpha 11 processor or in the panel itself. LG Display, which makes the panel for its customers including LG Electronics, boasts of a new Detail Enhancer that it adds to version 2.0 of its third generation WOLED panels with MLA. LG Electronics might not be able to disable this if this Detail Enhancer is an inherent part of the panel. As for Samsung, its newest processor is limited to the QN900D 8K LCD TV, leaving its 4K TVs with inferior processors. They are good enough for top quality material, but can’t improve bad quality material such as CZcams TV or bad quality cable TV as well as Sony’s or LG’s processors can. Samsung also messed up by not properly calibrating its TVs in the factory unlike what LG is doing with the G4, forcing customers to hire a calibrator if they want an accurate picture, detracting from the S95D’s value. Samsung also insists on pushing its One Connect Box down our throats despite the fact that it limits the HDMI port speeds to 40 Gbps, causing problems for some PC gamers. At least the S95D does not have the dropouts that the early version of the S95C was plagued with. Samsung fixed that hardware problem and released a fixed version of the S95C, making for a One Connect Box lottery situation with unsold defective S95Cs that have not yet been found and exchanged that could be sitting in stores or warehouses. The fix thankfully carries over to the S95D, eliminating that One Connect Box lottery. As for the S95D’s matte coating, I personally prefer it over glossy coatings because I find sharp reflections more annoying than blurred reflections. However, some people prefer sharp reflections, making the matte finish a divisive issue. I and some other people really like it, but other people hate it. Samsung really should listen to its customers and offer premium models with both glossy or matte finishes.
About the color boosting on Game Optimizer mode, I believe that someone is going to install the G4 firmware on a G3 and get it working without any input lag penalty. Installing a specific firmware is possible and has been done before. C1 firmware on CX etc
Have you thought about switching to a headset instead? Something like the bigscreen beyond? As far as I know, all headsets have to have a requirement of BFI, so even though the bigscreen beyond is at 90hz, it's 90hz BFI. Maybe next year they'll come out with a 120hz variant, at 4k per eye or something. That would be an interesting comparison...
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 There's standalone ones like the VR Quest ones that you don't need PC for that, but bigscreen beyond you have to connect to something, e.g. PC. I forgot if they use displayport or hdmi, maybe both. When you try to play flatscreen games on it, you can try and enable "theatre" mode, and it just visuallises the screen like you're in a giant theatre, minus the seats. Best one for now, for comfort too, is bigscreen beyond, very light and they offer a custom fit. Valve later this year should be releasing the new valve index VR headset which I heard is going to be 120hz (bfi), not sure if that one is gonna be as big/bulky as the old one or slimmer though. Possibly better to wait maybe until the new displayport standard is released, that would double the bandwidth to 80Gbps and should be better for VR headsets, cause I think the cap right now is the badwidth, because they need high resolution to be clear/crisp enough, but also high hz for fluidity, and the hdmi 2.1 48Gbps is kinda limiting in that regard...
they probably could push the 2nd gen MLA panel harder but they probably had to remove their burn in warrenty XD The most notible change is that colour brightness is substantially better in G4 in game mode compared to G3
and notice how they bumped it to a 5 year warranty this year. They got a panel that was capable of much more and they bumped peak brightness a bit but I think the longevity got a massive boost, hence the new warranty.
Any good? Want to upgrade. Have a SONY Trinitron CRT Tube TV KV-20M10 20” REMOTE GAMING from 1994. So the LG G4 83” should be a noticeable upgrade! Love the channel
Hey Ariel… I wanted to ask you for the ultimate solution… What tone mapping mode do you recommend for normal lit room, is it still HGIG? I just want to get THE BEST out of my console. You know its a very long journey for me. I have been here since last summer I think. I just wish that you had PS5 too and you found solution and some tricks there man , I don’t. What settings would you recommend for a normal lit room ? I also tested Fmm dtm it looks like hgig but a little bit brighter but I always go with your recommendations. Just want to get the best quality. Basically what would you do instead of me I you had PS5. I mean could you explain for each case a scenario. For example for system level calibration games I would do…. For native hdr games I would do… If the game was badly upscaled I would do…. For washed out games I would do… . It would greatly help me, I would do screenshot and any time when I had problem I would just go to that photo and look
Uh what? According to Digital Trends yes, these are using LG Display's absolute latest panels, using Meta 2.0 (MLA+) panels and that LG Electronics isn't allowing them up to 3000 nits for multiple reasons.
I don't watch your channel much nowadays because i bought a Sony A95K and have the king of the TVs but i still appreciate your efforts on educating people. Great video.
I have the G4 and 3 and I also own the s95c and the D I love TVs but my son when we watch the ag4 keep in mind he’s 7 he asked me if the tv was 3-d lol it’s an amazing tv
Hey, from where do you get that there are 2 versions of Meta 2 MLA+ panels, one that can do 2300 nit and one that can do 3000 nit? Yeah i heard what Vincent said but there is no information out there that LGD made 2 versions of the new panels. What Vincent measured at 3000 nit wasn't a finished TV for consumers. I think the panel on the G4 is the same as the one measured by Vincent at 3000 nit but how LGE implements the panel matters, they didnt want to push it further, maybe Panasonic will! If you have concrete info about two versions of Meta 2 MLA+ please let me know where LG stated this.
I don't have info about it, but some are saying here in the comments here that the Philips will have the MLA 3 and, I guess, Panasonic, too. It makes no sense to give the competition the better panels, but that might actually happen.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 my guess is that its the same panel but not pushed by LG, maybe they are keeping the extra capability for the next year but probably you know that guy Classy who is a calibrator, he said that the G4 gets way hotter than the G3 and the power consumption is bigger, hotter is not that great, maybe next year they will change the heatsink on the G series so the panel can be pushed more. Panasonic always had better heatsinks than the LG, i suppose their MLA flagship will be brighter than the G4 because of the heatsink and the implementation not because they will use another version of MLA panel. And about the G3 vs G4, Caleb from Digital Trend said that although the nit values seems the same on test patterns, the G4 its brighter than the G3 in actual content because of the pixel level picture analysis, i will wait for Classy's review, lets see what he says, he does in dept analysis of TVs and he dosent seem to do videos just to advertise, Caleb sometimes seems paid by this companies.
Really want to upgrade to 120hz BFI TV but there really just is none available (only used and i want warrranty). Do you think we will ever again see 120hz BFi in the near feature.? To my knowledge only LG has made this available with the CX and C1 (not counting monitors) and abondened it for whatever reason. It still makes me hold out on so many Games since it is not "ideal" with 60 HZ BFI. I am still using a SONY W905 Flagship (1080p) with 4k Downsampling and BFI. It was back then (10 Years ago) the go to TV for BFI. I have no idea how it still survived with so much heavy usage (very little color banding on the far left side). Hope did not Jynx it.
What tips do you know for washed out games on PS5. Because there are not redshades on it. How can I get The best HDR on My PS5. Can you please write explanation in depth please, this would really help me.🙂👍🏻
I've never tested a PS5 but the TV settings recommendations are all the same regardless of the platform. Lower the black level to fix washed-out colors. Do it with Fine tune Dark Areas or Black Level setting.
You should thank Samsung, because witthout their competition LG wouldn’t have released such improved products. I am not bought to any brand, but I’m so happy that consumers have different options. For me I have a sun soaked room so I think the S95 D is the one. Because I’m fed up of seeing myself in a mirror tv during dark scenes. And I don’t want to draw the curtains during the day, it’s not me to adapt to the product weakness.

Well, one huge thing you have over HDTVtest is your video is in HDR. SDR Review videos of TVs, now we are in 2024 is unacceptable, unless it's a livestream.
the only tv i found out that they came out for nothing was the 2022 lg tvs those C2 G2, the MLA came with a big improvements on the G3 but between G3 and G4 there is not much difference, if you never had a G series then get your G4 if you got the money or just go for the G3 will be better, i will not change my C1 only for having 144hz that's sure... The only reason i will change my C1 one day will be only because i will want to go bigger screen, i have a 55" would like to go on 65"
It seems like they are just doing filler line ups with these new launches. I bet we will see bigger jumps in the space in 2-5 years from now. I wonder if oled tech isn't selling as well to normal consumers.
I find many people refuse to actually read the box and learn the technologies. Instead, they see screen size, HDR maybe, and the anchoring bias of "getting a good deal."
@@iknowyounot88 For example here in Poland all the stores' sales reps try to sell you TCL mini-led's. Like 2/3 of the TV's are TCL mini-led's lol. But in a bright store you can't see stuff like blooming, not enough dimming zones, bad motion clarity, bad response time and input lag, etc. The rep just tells you the specs and 90% of people buy one cause on paper it's as good as OLED for a fraction of the price. Who said lcds don't get gamma flicker is incorrect. VA panels get it even worse than oleds. Rtings proved that numerically. Regarding colors did you check tft centrals article "Exploring OLED Brightness - Improvements, WOLED vs QD-OLED and the Need for New Metrics and Specs"? It proves that qdoled has up to 2.5 times more nits per color on high intensity sub 10% apl. So to me saying g4 is the best is just some reality dissonance, how is that even possible. Supposedly qdoled was the best, but now that g4 has done no upgrades over g3 now it's the best? Oled was already perfect from CX and C1
But for people who watch TV in a dark room, what do they need 3000 nits for. Meanwhile, Sony does hidden sharpening and gets King of TVs...L.G does it and it's a downgrade.
Also, could it be that LG doesn't use the brighter panels out of fear of burn-in? You never really mention this. I wish these TVs would have an heat sink. They're so unnecessary flat.
I agree they're unnecessarily flat, and I would add fragile. I'd put a watercooler and push more power and performance. LG has a very solid maintenance on their OLEDs, they basically take care of themselves.

@plasmatvforgaming9648 The Sony HX3110 is a dual layer LCD screen, that should already hint that Sony is still holding some aces behind their back. They could decide and roll out this dual layer LCD tech to the consumer very quickly, because they have been mastering this technology for decades for the movie industry. OLED never was the end game, LCD tech can surpass OLED tech already in many ways. This is locked away for consumer access, but a decision could be made and we would say bye bye to OLED. Also have in mind Samsung's MicroLED technology has 2 nanoseconds of pixel respond. OLED is just a small step in between before they all will roll out the end game display tech.
The C4 seems like a great TV, it just doesn't have 120bfi. If you can't get a G1/C1, I'd get an S90C

The improvements are there:
You have 144hz for PC gaming. You can have it with a stand. It depends on, if you can get the G3 + a stand cheaper than a G4 and if you are playing on PC or console only. But unless 120hz BFI doesn't come back, I see no need to upgrade from my CX.
If the G4 had 120bfi I'd jump on it immediately

You can’t evaluate image quality based on CZcams videos. The video capture from the camera used will make drawing conclusions impossible. Most reviewers that have seen the G4 in person and tested it are impressed and giving it high marks.
You're right
Not sure you can turn off tpc and gsr on the G4. If you know how that would help out greatly. Last year they block everyone from doing that
Yes, you can. Using the Colorcontrol app, you can access the real service menu and turn those off
Hey Ariel🙂, what are the drawbacks of using sharpness 50 when gaming ? Cause i noticed when you set sharpness there is no halo but instead it just makes image more clear, and sharp. It kind of upscales low res textures in games and doesn’t oversharp image. So I just wanted to know what are the drawbacks? And do you recommend it?
I've never tried beyond 25 but it might look good on a game that's terrible blurry
It might look a bit cartoonish but it all depends on the game.
Hi Ariel, I really, really love your content! I watch every single of your videos . Keep it up!❤️
The g4 is incredible. It's much better than rtings shows it being. There is a depth to it that can't be measured. Especially if you're a gamer. Thsts the biggest thing. G4 rivals qd oled in gaming. Bright colors and super bright highlights
The depth is important. Samsungs qd oldes always look a little flat to me. Lg is the best at it.
Had the C1 first then the s90c. LG has way more contrast, s90c looked flat as well. LG is like looking through glass like.
It also does the following at 1080p instead of 4K, but that's perfectly fine if you plan on staying 65" and lower and watching whatever at a reasonable distance. ;)
Good to see you again Buddy. I really miss our streams. We should do them again. I just need to free more time somehow 😭😭
Absolutely, we have to do it again. I'm moving next month for a new job opportunity and should have more time after that.
Hey!!! They finally integrated AutoHdr from Lillium into the reshade. Will you check this please? Does it work as it should? Thank you in advance!

It is still a fantastic TV and for 40% off is a no-brainer. Just find a way to control the lighting on the room
Well good to know before I buy that sammy s95d
Its a common VRR problem on all OLEDs, I use Gsync and there is no problem on my current LG OLED CX, Also when using BFI120hz there is no problem either.
How tf you get 40%?!
No way I'd change that G4 for Sony because you can't turn off the dimming to protect on Sonys like you can on LG (TPC and GSR off) on the service menu
Check Samsung Sharpness isn't making the grain more apparent and turn it down to neutral
What TV are you mostly looking at getting as of today Ariel? 😇

Personally I would never buy anything else then LG, Samsung is very dodgy with there tech in Europe.
I keep HDR on all the time, and SDR HDR slider to 0 is dimmer than accurate SDR settings
Hey, glad to see you're back :D
Do you think we will get some day a technology that is not sample and hold again, like when we had the option to choose between LCDs and CRTs?
Im particularly interested in "Laser-powered phosphor displays" i have been researching about then and they seem do be amazing. Big resolution and not sample and hold. Also dont seems to have a native resolution... Sounds familiar to you?
The future is brute force 1000+Hz sample and hold to get full HDR brightness and no flickering.

Can you connect those to a PC for Gaming?
Nice Thanks!
they probably could push the 2nd gen MLA panel harder but they probably had to remove their burn in warrenty XD
The most notible change is that colour brightness is substantially better in G4 in game mode compared to G3
and notice how they bumped it to a 5 year warranty this year.

With service menu mods, the S95D (confirmed Gen 3 panel) hits >3k nits in peak highlights. Too bad it’s nerfed by the MATTE FINISH. 🤮
Still waiting on someone’s confirmation that 77 S90D is either Gen 2 or 3. If 3, then that’s the best TV of this year. If 2, save $ & go S90C.
I think so too
I've been very busy but after I move next month and get stable again with the new job, I'll ramp up again
I want a 55 s90c gen 2, found one for sale for 900 euro, thinking of getting it after making sure it's a gen 2 panel
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 No worries! Have to take care of yourself 1st. Still curious if you’ll pick-up a S90C one day.
@@androsforever500 Service menu can confirm either Gen 2 or 1. There’s steps on AVSForum on how to access & which values = which Gen.
12:32 I saw another video about 83" G4 and owner basicaly have destroyed it on a review. He plans to return it. Main concern: softer image comparing to C9 (!), horible antiglare coating, etc etc.
Interesting, can you share the name of the video?
@@plasmatvforgaming9648. Video name is: LG G4 OLED Design Issues and TV Discussion. from Apr 20.

Hey Ariel, when you will have some free time man please can you do settings video of Iphone 15 balance imitation. I will be going to a new country in 2 months. I would really, really appreciate that and I am sure everyone will too. Thank you👍🏻🙂
I will
One thing you don't talk about is text clarity, fringing, & ppi, & these are so important.
ppi isn't the whole story. Pixels per degree of view is. I'm not an expert. I read that in the Blur busters forums
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 the reason i pointed this out is because i have qd oled odyssey g9 & text clarity ruins the positives of the qd oled, it's terrible & strains the eyes because of fringing fuzzy text.
😂😂 yup the OLED troubleman is back 🤣🤣 love your videos because you always saying the truth even if it's hard to heard from those who got these TV, love what you do bro and thanks for that... 😊
If you see "film grain" on an OLED when the movie doesn't have it. It's the "dithering" which makes it garbage. I mean how bad would it be to show actual dithering.
Dude your spot on about so much. Power limits boo, artificial restrictions boo, do we get 120 or 144 hz bfi back :) i doubt it... ?
I'd buy a G5 with 120 BFI for sure
Seguro. Espero que 240Hz+ TVs vengan pronto tambien
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Si ojalá lleguen pronto!
Or did he just forget you can still buy the 2023 models? 😂 anyway I'm done with tvs, these guys don't give a sht anymore. Lg has done like 10% improvement over the last 5 years. Just gimme the 480hz monitors and I'll go with that.

Hei Plasma TV. I love this quality of video. It's amazing lighting. I appreciate your videos.
Thanks!
I know you said you don’t wanna make rant videos anymore but man…hellblade 2 is disgusting to look at💀 loaded it up on my 4080 and I was shocked. Stark contrast to the ghost of Tsushima port. Beautiful, sharp image and actually runs good.
I beat Hellblade 1 and it was great but it came with forced motion blur and chromatic aberration. I'll definitely try 2 and call them out. I just finished installing Ghost of Tsushima
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 forced chromatic abberation, forced letterboxing, forced rt and lumen😭😭😭. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on both games
I love LG and all their models but i agree with you when you said LG is in trouble, but for me they are all in trouble, i figure out that the best TVs was between 2020 and 2021 like my LG C1 i still have here and truly the C1 is one of the best perfect oled Tv in the world, it's hard for me to let go that tv by selling it because is too much perfecr to me, these new MLA and 144hz don't even blowing my mind... Oled was already perfect from CX and C1
But for people who watch TV in a dark room, what do they need 3000 nits for. Meanwhile, Sony does hidden sharpening and gets King of TVs...L.G does it and it's a downgrade.
The jump from 100 to 1000 is perceived as the same from 1000 to 10k. Once we have perfect blacks, the brighter, the better
The LG G4 is an inferior oled. The LG G4 can never look better than a qd oled. Regardless of what they added to this years LG G4 oled.
Somehow, reviewers aren't recognizing that
You will only get small improvement dont use the word impossible for lcd you dont know the future couple years from now you will change your mind
G4 is a Gamechanger
Companies are not your friends,do not be a fan of any company and you will not be disappointed,I am a fool also cause I will be buying 80+" g4/bravia 9/s90D blah blah blah
Apple just told the world their next iPad's will have dual layer OLED screens, you should - buy - review - and return it haha.
You're right
A dual layer LCD shouldn't be that expensive. Active cooling can be cheap
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Matter the fact the CZcams channel "DIY Perks" made his own by his own hands from parts. The out come was not perfect, but the fact if a factory made it with nano meters of precision it would be mind blowing GOOD!
Video is named "DIY Dual-Layer LCD monitor - can it match OLED??"
You six year late for LGs shitty upgrades for me. I have the B8 and there's no reason for an upgrade for years. VRR was the only upgrade that I could have gone for, picture quality? No. The MLA Oleds are the only viable upgrade path for LG Oleds and that shit is locked behind their top line with expensive ass prices. Samsung is too shitty quality that breaks easily, and the Sony tax is NOT worth the price. For me, thank the fuckin' lord these MLA panels are coming down in price---I may yet purchase another Oled. Have been with a Projector and Hisense Mini-LED these last two years with no regrets.
How to explain that LG Electronic will let Philips sell a 3k nits unit 🤷 if it's true , LG Electronic will loose the 1st place for sur !
And After 10y 1st on Oled technology, it's not Bad to take a Big slap ...
Bad controle quality ( 1st G2 with cool whine, 2nd with Dead pixel After 9month ... And i dont speak about my expérience with LG soundbar 2022 s80qy ... 🤮)
But it's difficult to back on a Led panel and i'm waiting the New panel from customer service.
The only one thing wich save my choice, 5y guarantee, 2y for all 5 for the panel , 1000nits dolbyvision but no BFI PRO since 2022. A shame !
And Oled = organic = will die, like u and me 🤣
Thanks for the vid!
It would be so crazy to have the best panel sent only for the competition
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 After dieselgate, benchmarkgate, oledgate ?
Any value of nits is guarantee and mb it's like that: Panasonic top tier, usually LG mid tier and Philips midi/low tier since 2020. But let's see what Philips propose in 2024!
And if it's tic toc for the roadmap mb in 2y we have 4k nits panel 🤞!
If no one is making good qd oled tv then why should lg even try
This guy is talking about the G series like it’s a crystal series Samsung come on man yea and the 65 inch Sony is 3500 dollars thanks but no thanks the a95L is just not that much better to pay an extra 1000 dollars
S95D it’s best tv right now, (I know you hate matte coating) but in dark room you won’t see any difference between matte and glossy, and in bright room it’s huge improvement. No reflections at all. A little washed out picture in bright room is much better than watching on yourself and your room reflection at the screen.
I enjoy being opinionated, but looking at it completely unbiased, it is undeniable a fantastic TV.
The Matte screen ruins it.
@@Solidsnake724 no way, it’s great.
G4 is overrated like I thought it would be
Lol g4 is the best oled you can get now
@@interistapazzo1.9.0.8 not as vibrant as QDOLEDs and never will be. The tv is processed out of its mind.

Sony tv a95l was a hit with the sales numbers. LG wanna make money from the majority.
I don't care about movies :D I only play games and watch anime, the C1 is perfect for both.
Btw Lossless scaling 2.8 is out and you're gonna love it.
Nice! Which differences did you notice?
Wtf, buying thise lind of tv for only games 😅😅😅😅😅
WOLED is the best of nothing
G4 is an old phone
😂Sorry, but I think you are a bit of a whiner. zG4 is certainly a better TV. There are many more points that have been improved. Detail, 3D doll processor. I certainly won't buy a Sansung Coller doll, I don't see a Coller doll in the real environment. So not of course. I think my G2 is fine, there's nothing wrong with it. So don't buy anything for the time being, 5 year warranty so no problem.I just set it to vivid and color temp to cool. I don't like the fairground colors of the QD OLED.
HDTV shills for LG its obvious at this point haha
They're all shills. Stop the fomo is always praising Samsung. At least Vince is a little more technical.
@@mexdrago3009 Correct they are all shills, but the stop the fomo "gang" is some dirty nasty consumer unfriendly of bunch!
