Here in Philippines,if you started doing business at a very young age people will admire you and praise you for being hardworking. Filipinos like to support young people doing business. You might as well end up being viral in facebook if you post your success stories.
This is why it is so hard to live in Korea. Watching kdrama is fun but before dreaming of living there, you have to research at least. Watch documentaries about their country. There are plenty of videos you can watch online. Also, make friends to those who have been there. People who had lived and worked there. They will tell you what it's like to live in Korea eventually you will realize which country is best for your mental health. Sure it is best to have a positive outlook in life and dream for the best but you also have to consider the worst case scenarios. It's not all butterflies and rainbows in Korea.
We, Filipino really appreciates those who started a business by their young age .. We envy them but we dont discourage them instead we encourage them more for having that mentality by being a business man. Those young business man are being a MODEL to us to become one of them
Just please still be careful not all country has a 99% good people .. don't let your guard down stay vigilant and the reason guns here are exposed.. and have fun here in the Philippines
Vin's Korean Class - Equality with respect is common in the Philippines but it seems the "Respect" Culture in Korea is way way way extreme. In America respect is also important as long as you treat all races the same. Remember always we are all human beings treat everybody with respect as you would want to be treated. In the Philippines guidelines: "Age Etiquette guide but usually does not apply to foreigners". Usually 10 - 15 yrs older you would use "Oho", "Ho", "Kuya" (older brother", "Ate" older sister. 20 years or "Opo", "Po". 30 years older "Opo" Lolo or Tay (grandfather) "Lola" Nay (grandmother). Addressing your manager or Boss in the Philippines or coworkers are not that strict. Boss just use Sir?Mam or Boss. Your friends in the Philippines or what you call "Barkadas" you dont call them anything except their first name. This would be the people relatively close to your age between -5 or +10 years to your age gap.
You are brave enough in exposing yourself how you were treated/bullied by your countrymen knowing that your people will be watching this too. Any way this is one way of expressing yourself and eventually healing yourself. Forgive that experience, forgive your perpetrators and start loving yourself, at home to yourself. Welcome to to the Philippines. If you are being bullied here, just tell them your story, tell them that you have enough and befriend them, say it to them nicely and they will understand you. Sometimes, we have this kind of empathy (the feeling of being one with the one suffering/ putting ourselves in the shoes of another) I hope this kind of value will be embedded in everyone's heart so that we become loving, respectful and caring people. Enjoy life and have *PEACE.* *MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND ALSO FOR THE PEOPLE WHO READING THIS.*
@Pinoy Cup agree tol mababa lang kasiyahan natin hindi natin kailngan yumaman para sumaya ng sobra basta kasama lang mga mahal sa buhay at kumain mg sabay sabay ayos na satin.
I hope you will find peace in the Philippines , all those bad experiences you went through in the past , just take it as a challenge and hopefully it will give you strength to see that there is a light at the end of the rough road. Just remember to " quit is not an option". Good luck in your life's journey
Thanks for sharing your story. It gave us a quick insight into Korea from your own personal experience as a Korean. I was intrigued by how demanding and stressful it can be to keep up with Korean expectations and social norms which may be the complete opposite of the Philippines. You left Korea and took a leap of faith to be in Philippines, it's not perfect and may be lightyears behind Korea in terms of certain standards but there is always joy to find in the ordinary. I wish you great success!
I hope you enjoy your stay here in the Philippines and you are welcome. Yes, many Koreans enjoy their stay here, as Filipinos are loving and forgiving people. Just live simple and humble. Stay safe and healthy.
A lot of people are really toxic to the point that even your mental health is at stake. Hope you are doing well now and happy in life. I wish you a happy and healthy life, physically and mentally. :)
Looking forward to reading how this gloomy story progressed especially now you're in the Philippines, with a completely different culture from what you experienced in the video. I hope you were able to recover your mental health with your stay in here. Filipinos are respectful, friendly, accommodating and not overbearing, so I kind of know what to expect from part 2 💞 I wish you happiness and consolation :)
That’s crazy. Korea’s hierarchical, Confucian society is taking its toll on its young people. In the Philippines, young entrepreneurs are welcome because they are innovative and will contribute to the economy. I hope you find yourself in the Philippines.
I am really sorry for your sad story.. I admire you persistence to find a better place to live. Welcome to Philippines! I hope you will continue to heal!
oh good lord, the brutality of bully culture you have suffered is so horrific. thank you for being brave and sharing your experience, Vincent. while life in the Philippines can be generally difficult financially, I hope you get to get to meet lifelong good friends who love and support you.
I can't believe it that u cannot do business at a very young age.here in the Phil. people will envy u if u have a business in a such a very young age.well since u were already here in the Phil.good luck to u may I'll be successful and progressive in ur life here.👍👍❤️❤️ I feel sorry for u for what u have experienced in ur military training.
Don't settle in anything less than your dreams 😊 Stay strong don't let someone ruin your life. We have a choice to choose what is right but we cannot choice the consequences . And you choose the right path , stay strong and stay positive no matter what don't let the adversity forsake you 😊💪💪
Your story reveals a lot about Korean culture and it explains a lot about my own personal experiences while visiting Korea. It is sad that you had to leave your own country to find acceptance in ours. Most Filipinos are kind and accepting, if you are also kind to them. It does not matter what your nationality is. Kindness bears kindness while animosity bears its own fruit. But scammers are also everywhere, so beware. Glad you found a home in our country. May you find peace and contentment here. We may not have much in terms of material wealth but there is so much more to life than that. Sad that most people dont see beyond the material side. We are poor in material wealth but rich in spirit. For we find joy amidst despite our poverty and even share that joy with others
@Noah H. I did and somehow it explains some of the bad things that I experienced in Korea. I.e. vendors shouting at you for asking for the price of socks they sell and not buying because I was shocked at the price. Korean restaurant owners smirking at us because they dont think we can afford to eat in their little restaurant. We had to show that we had more than enough money to pay for our food. And such other things that make me think less of Koreans and wonder why they were that way with us. Maybe others may have had a very good experience in Korea but in general it was less than satisfactory for me and my companions. A Korean guide even told me that someday he hopes Korea will be like the Phils in terms of tourism. Based on that experience of Korea, I DONT WANT TO GO BACK. For me, its simply not worth the expense. I was just trying to understand why we were treated that way. We stayed at Myeongdong, not some shabby little town in the middle of nowhere so I expected more. If Koreans can do that to a fellow Korean then its no wonder why we were treated so shabbily there.
Actually to tell you the truth, my experience was the opposite of your explanation. Older people were more sympathetic or accomodating than younger people. Most young Koreans we encountered were either ill mannered or could not care less about other people. I hnestly expected the old to be less tolerant of us foreigners. Im not saying all Koreans are bad but this attitude seems to be an acceptable norm in your society. Our guide, who was Korean, just stood by and let that vendor berate us. He apologized for the vendor but did nothing to stop the vendor from embarrasing us the whole 5-10 mins. I TOLD HIM THAT IF I WERE THE GUIDE, THAT WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED IN MY COUNTRY. He just apologized to us again but that was not the point. I did not want his apology because he wasnt the one who had to apologize but the vendor. If something wrong is being done, stop it! Allowing something bad to happen is as bad, if not more despicable, than actually doing the wrong deed yourself.
May you begin to put your past behind... Being constantly reminded of it or your failures is the work of the Devil. Looking towards the future is the work of God because Jesus Christ is the source of Hope. Here in the Phil., you can grow spiritually strong! Btw, I like your video.
Hey bro, hope you’ll find a good friends in the philippines, age doesnt matter.. Mostly friendly people but remember, u still need to be careful, not all are good like any other country.
You were brave to share the traumatic experiences of your past. To most, that will be a very difficult and emotional. However, you showed your determination to overcome the tragedies in life. The human spirit should never be suppressed but allowed soar and fulfill its destiny. I'm glad you found Philippines welcoming...I call the Island of happy songbirds! Im sorry to hear all this horrible things happened to you. there are a lot of bad people in this world. you seem like a nice person, I hope things are getting better for you. God bless you.
I feel so sorry for you... But since you're here in the Philippines now, I hope you will have a better life. Philippines is not the best country to be honest, but we filipinos always move forward and we can naturally find good things in every bad situation! so LABAN LANG BROD!!!!
I was teary eyed when i was listening at you. Im so sorry that you have gone through with that horrible phase in your life. And im glad you've over come it and have healed. Im genuinely glad that you're fine now. How could people in the korean military service be able to do that with their fellow countrymen. Just how awful those korean military men are? Im sure high ranking military/police official are aware of such culture within. There should be changes to be done to solve this kind of occurrences. So that the coming generations wont go through that kind of hardship within the military service. I wish you peace and happiness in life where ever you are now🙂
Sorry to hear about what you've been through. Well there's also a lot of bad things in the Philippines, or anywhere in the world.. I'm happy that you found your peace here in the Philippines. Stay happy. Live life to the fullest. Keep safe.
Omg I’m so sorry all this happened to you. Depression and mental illness is so hard. I really wish you all the best. Hope you’ve found peace you are enjoying your life in the Philippines. ❤️
Thank You for sharing your Story Brorher, I also experience something like yours, but not as worse as your past, just remember We Filipinos we forgive but not forget, Just always think Positive Vibes and Enjoy your stay in the Philippines. Pray to God always and I hope everything will be Okay with You.
My heart goes out with you. So sorry to hear with what you've been through. So aweful. You should write a book about it. Be very careful though about your surroundings, especially that you are talking about the dark side of Korea. May your guardian angel watch you all the time. Cheers.
So sorry to hear about you past bad life experiences. Sending you lots of love that you will find your true self and happiness with the help of your new home base and environment.❤❤😇😇😇
Your story made me sad and angry at the same time. I hope you are doing okay now and I wish You all the success in life that you deserve. Keep fighting! 😘
im sorry for all of your sufferings in korea. i never expected it to be that worse, no wonder that there were number of koreans who migrated in the philippines.i wish you well. i know you will get through this because you seem to be a strong person. im aware that some koreans are superficial, like for real though. this is why a lot of korean population undergo plastic surgery. their ideal of beauty is so unrealistic. i cant believe that they mistreated you that way , thats so cruel😟, youre handsome my friend, dont let them treat you that way next time.
Sorry to hear about ordeal you have to go through in your own country very sad. I am glad you found solace in the Philippines. I support you and found good friend in me for your kindness to Filipinos
Hearing your story makes me appreciate the filipino culture more which i think is more free, respectful and open-minded... looking forward to your part2 video. Glad you to hear you are happier in the Philippines. Stay safe and positive! 🙂
Forgive and forget, and start a new life. Dont cling to the past because it will make you a bitter person. Just be happy and make friends. Happy to hear that you find our country a safe haven. Good luck..
I am saddened by your story and I admire your bravery in sharing your life story. The abuse you received is brutal and inhumane. No one should have to endure that as I agree it is as traumatic as it is life changing. I am glad you are at a place where you are healing and living the life you choose to live. When we are born to thid world, home does not just mean where you are born but where you feel completely happy and safe. I wish you nothing but further happiness and success. May good opportunities further come to you and may you be successful and be further happy in every choice and decisions you make. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger and wiser ❤️👍💯
Felt really sad by hearing your experience 😥 and good u made a right decision to move to other country. There is always a second option for us in life and we should go for it ,just tolerating things will only make more damage and mental peace is more important than anything. Stay safe and happy my friend lots of love from India.
I hope you find peace and happiness here in the Philippines or wherever you decide to stay. You had a terrible experience in your own country and I wish you the best from hereon. Best of luck to you.
That is a sad story. I get the feeling what comes next in the video. We may have nothing much here in the Philippines, but we are rich in spirit. I am positive that you will recover back to your mental and inner strength. Be vigilant and alert too. Be careful of the dangers around you. More importantly, don't forget to pray. You are in our prayers, Mr. Vin. Welcome to the Philippines. More power to you and God bless. Mabuhay! 😊
Felt bad about that dude, but things always changed, God is good if you believe. There is always light after a long dark and Philippines is.i salute you sir#onelove
Its sad that you suffered from your own country. And i can say that leaving is really a good decision. Hope that you wont experience what you've experience in your motherland here in Ph 😊 Thank you for loving our country, hope youll be happy forever 💕
Sorry to hear that man...you struggled a lot in military service in korea..but i guess you could fully found happiness in the philippines...my worried is when my son goes to military service right after senior high school here in s.korea..i do hope they would treat him well cuz he's half korean and half filipino...may the lord bless you in the philippines...

There was nothing wrong with you it's the people around you were so negative and constantly putting you down. I'm glad you got out of that situation and I wish you well in the future. Life is hard but Never give up!👍💪
here in the philippines if you started business at young age and become successful with your own hard work people will admire you will be invited to be a inspirational speaker for some business conference or if you got lucky your story will be on tv news so I hope you never give up and start her afresh ❤️
Thank you for sharing that to us. And I am happy that you’re happy staying here in the Philippines. However, please don’t assume that this country doesn’t have cons. I am a filipino and i could say many of us experience rasicm from our fellow filipinos. It may because of the province where you came from and status in life. We may be hospitable but mostly towards foreigners who visited us. Corruption, politics and government ranks goes together. Despite all those things, you can have good friends here that will see you as an equal and will always take you seriously. we are happy that you choose our country as your new home. We are happy that you’re healing and able to reduce the heavy burden you have been carrying when you’re in korea. God Bless always and stay vigilant!
Filipinos may be 'small' but we have a 'big' heart for everyone including visitors/tourists like you. We may offer little but we offer everything. Rich Filipinos have a soft heart for those who have less in life because we share what we have and that's make us human beings. Although we have problems too just like anywhere else, we see to it we will overcome these and not worry. Welcome to my country and be happy. Life is short😍😁🤗
Sorry to hear your suffering bro. Just enjoy your life there in my country Philippines 🇵🇭 I’m living in Dubai but I’m sure my kababayan will open their arms to you.. Forget your life there in Korea. Smile always bro 😊
That sounds insane. And meanwhile these same Koreans and Japanese are debuting idols as young as 15 and 14, in South Korea for a global market! Silly Kpop.

im sorry for all of your sufferings in korea. i never expected it to be that worse, no wonder that there were number of koreans who migrated in the philippines.i wish you well. i know you will get through this because you seem to be a strong person.
im aware that some koreans are superficial, like for real though. this is why a lot of korean population undergo plastic surgery. their ideal of beauty is so unrealistic. i cant believe that they mistreated you that way , thats so cruel😟, youre handsome my friend, dont let them treat you that way next time.

Vin I admire your courage. I hope you find Happy Life in the Philippines. Good Luck.

Glad you've chosen the Philippines. Hope you will find what you need here and live a better life.
So sad to hear your story 😪😪😪
Hope you stay healthy happy always 😊😊
May you find happiness in the Philippines! Keep on keeping on!
Just enjoy your life there in my country Philippines 🇵🇭
I’m living in Dubai but I’m sure my kababayan will open their arms to you..
Forget your life there in Korea.
Smile always bro 😊
That sounds insane. And meanwhile these same Koreans and Japanese are debuting idols as young as 15 and 14, in South Korea for a global market! Silly Kpop.
Prayers and healing for u. You may forgive them but not forget for your own peace of mind.
