- dont install a dashcam and settle for that excess wire that comes with it. give your car a clean look with a dongle.
we use the front facing camera for the blue models. if you have a limited that came with the auto dimming mirrors the donge is different

Thanks! Will this work in a 2022 Elantra Ultimate?
If your car has the autodimming rear view mirror then there is a better harness designed for that specific rear view mirror. This video mainly applies to elantras without the autodimming rearview mirror
Does using the dongle you mentioned for the hybrid limited for the auto dimming lights, will it keep the camera running even when the car is off?
I’m trying to install a front and rear facing dash cam in my Elantra hybrid limited 2023 and we can’t find anything online talking about it. Can we use the dongle for the mirror instead of the fuse box?
No, just how the mirror loses power when you turn the car off, the camera will also lose power. Both the autodimming dongle and the dongle i use in thr video are designed to lose power when you turn the key. If you want the camera to stay on then you will need to directly connect a wire to an already existing wire that is always on OR tap into a fuse that is always on. I dont remember which ones did that since i have sold the car since i made this video.
@@Edgar-and-Wrench ah okay so wiring it with the fuse box is probably the way to go then.
@juliam.2519 more than likely. Unless the mirror has a constant 12v power cable you can tap into.
Will this work with a MicroUSB to USB-C converter? My dashcam has type C power port.
Yea as long as its getting 12v itll work. Run the converter
