    I have had my own experience with troubleshooting schwintek errors, however too long of a story to get into. Short story...the in, in, out trick is something I have never heard of prior. Wouldn't have helped my previous issue however, non the less a great tip for the mental tool bag. Thanks!

    So I have a schwintec slide. Bought a 2022 Ember 191mdb at the Tampa Show. Slide started making a clicking type noise on the left side , when slide is about 14 inches from fully extended. Doesn't do it any other time. I've watched your videos on these systems but have not found one with this issue. Wish you were in sunny Florida!

    I had the same issue the slide is full in and I tried to bush it out and I failed then I give the both motor 12v from out side batterie to move it out then i removed the motor out and I checked the wire nothing in the wire but i had changed the motor but still its giving me motor 1 error , I swapped the wires from motor 2 to 1 and 1 to 2 still giving me motor 1. Do you think the problem is from the controller? And there is any way to reset the controller it self ? Or i need to replace it ? My rv had a touch screen one control . Need your help

    I have a fault 9 in my slide-out but it is still working. I only noticed the fault when I saw a flashing red light behind an access panel. When I removed the panel, I realized it was the slide-out control panel. I just bought the 30’ harness so I can test the fault. Weird how my slide-out is still working.

  • @TheMinnow101
    @TheMinnow101 Před 2 lety

    Some of the issues associated with the Schwintek are because people don't hold the "in" or "out" button long enough after the slide is all the way in or out. Holding the button down for 3-5 seconds AFTER the slideout has stopped moving sync's the two motors and keeps both sides of the slideout equal. LCI has a YT video on how to re-time the 2 motors. If one side of your slideout is further in or out then the other side, then the slideout motors need to be retimed.

    2009 Crossroads Seville. Sf 35 Suburban furnace. Short cycles -- first turned on it will run constantly until it reaches it set temp. After that it will turn and run 5-6 minutes producing heat then turn off for 5-6 minutes. Then it keeps repeating . The thermostat is the 5 button CCC. It and the control box in the rear AC was replaced along with the furnace removed and burner checked --Electrode checked and adjusted also replaced the high limit switch. Stoll short cycles. Any ideas. Spent a lot of money and it still short cycles. Thanks.

    I have a question about an automatic power switch. Sometimes it hums loudly, most of the time it's quiet. Your thoughts? Ken, full time RV.

    • @MyRVWorks
      @MyRVWorks  Před 2 lety +1

      The ATS ( automatic transfer switch) is a contactor that uses electromagnetism to close the contacts. If the two halves of the contacts that close are not perfectly aligned you're going to get that electronic buzzing sound. The buzzing, or humming, has no bearing on the contactors ability to pass the power through it. It's buzzing and humming because the two halves did not align perfectly. Sometimes you can give it a a gentle persuasive tap - on the case - to help get those two halves aligned, sometimes you can cycle that contactor on and off a few times to get it to align better. If it's really getting bad, it might be getting worn out a little bit. There's also some electronic contact cleaner that might help those tracks that the contactor moves within.

    • @kenselberg4299

      @@MyRVWorks thank you, will try contactor cleaner.

    If the slide is all the way in and you have to pull the screw out of motor from outside but the motor has failed how do you get to that screw?

    • @MyRVWorks
      @MyRVWorks  Před rokem

      In those situations, I have had no choice but to pry the motor up from the inside. The H-column is aluminum so the screw will fatigue the aluminum flange and allow the motor to lift up off the collet. After I've made all repairs, I will then retap the outside screw hole and go with a larger screw to secure the motor in place.

    What would cause all 3 of my Schwintek slides to give a #9 fault code at the same time? I am preparing for a move and noticed that all 3 Schwintek Slides are giving a Error Code #9 for a "Hall pwr short to GND". I hear zero activity when I press the switches to pull the slides in.
    I tried the manual override, lights started flashing, but no action.
    I have checked the 2 breakers and fuses behind the Battery and they are all good. Batteries are 2017 but still hold 13 plus volts.
    What else should I be checking?

    • @dominionoverland4783
      @dominionoverland4783 Před 6 měsíci

      @joshsindle3515 Yes sir, it turned out to be a 15 amp fuse that was labeled as an interior light, but was somehow tied to the slide motor relays.
      That being said, I would pop every fuse on every panel and check them.

    • @MyRVWorks
      @MyRVWorks  Před 10 měsíci

      Sometimes the only way to get to the motor is to remove the H column from that side of the wall and pull the motor straight out the top.

    I’m going to be in the market for a new or gently used 5th wheel and would like to get your expertise in some basic questions about what to stay away from. The sales folks are trying to make a sale which I understand but I want reliable. What is the best way to contact you?

    • @MyRVWorks
      @MyRVWorks  Před 2 lety

      Hi Mike, we don't provide consults, we mainly focus on diagnose and repair, but on our website we do have a pre-inspection checklist that we recommend all potential buyers use when assessing an RV they are considering purchasing. That can be found here: myrvworks.com/manuals/. In the search bar, type "PID" and you will see two options to choose from. All the best as you look for an RV!
